I wonder if there will be more layouts in future for test track because seems like there are many section kinda "locked" like i was expecting to be able to drive whole ring around it and also was hoping to be able to get it that large skid pad area. :indiff:

From what i could see in that video their was 3 different test tracks that had 3 different layouts , or atleast one on the video had 3 layouts. So their might be 9 tracks.

According to the files, there are 5 layouts available (available in Free Practice, Time Trial and Race) + the full Test Track (available only in Free Practice).

Not sure if the full Test Track will be available in multiplayer.

Wait is it just a test track or can you race on it?
In the video I posted the guy does a 2-lap race with no AI opponents, so I'm guessing we can setup races with it in solo mode.

there is and old video that showed them all , i'm not sure what the number is i just say 3 layouts on that one video
In the video I posted I saw 5 layouts. More layouts would be welcome, like the outer oval and the open layout that was available in earlier builds.

Looks interesting...also wonder if it's part of the upcoming drift nonsense. Some of the smaller layouts would make plenty of sense for drifting.

I do think we'd be missing out on having multiplayer access to the whole thing. I have complete faith that the "huge" track expansion coming will be the historic track expansion. I'd guess in the $15-20 range since we know it has a good 5-7 tracks in it.

I never did see any variations though on the historic tracks when we used to test them (beyond Rouen which I think had a short version). So even though it will be several tracks, I wouldn't expect 3-4 layouts per track like we're used to with modern race tracks.

We shall see. Not too happy seeing that Rocket Bunny or whatever Toyota...I'll be a bit peeved if they start mixing in drift cars with normal DLC (something I have ZERO interest in doing). I hope they keep the drift stuff separate in its own DLC pack.

So we can do a 20-30 opponent race on the oval?

So will "full Test Track" mean all layouts or just 1 layout where we are able to drive anywhere in that track? That would be damn cool..

You're kidding me, they don't include the oval as a layout on the test track for races. 👎 Bad move 👎 There is no reason for it not to be a layout.

*Don't worry I'll still buy the DLC*

Back in alpha there were historic tracks and ovals in early stages of development. I still expect both an ovals pack (with the Indycars?) and a historic pack to be released. Depends on them sorting the licensing, of course.

My only reason for guessing the historic will be first is that the tracks were much farther along...the ovals were barely started (I think they had a good amount of progress done on Indianapolis). We'll see. Yes there will be both DLC packs, my money is just on Historics coming first. Many of them were borderline finished when they removed them from the game prior to release.

Anyone who hasn't driven historic Spa is in for a treat...madness. Absolute madness.

Not sure why. Maybe the IA isn't quite ready to be raced on an oval yet? I mean, racing on an oval is quite different to racing on a circuit, so I would think that they have to make a slightly different IA model for the ovals.

I wouldn't expect ovals until Daytona 500 , big track pack big PR chance maybe even Pcars on a ford fusion on that sunday. Just my 2 cents with nothing to back it up at all

Tbh theres no real sence driving on a circle...its NOT an oval as is ;)

I think i will skip this DLC. The test track is totally useless in career mode and i do not have any interest in driving on fake and unrealistic tracks.

Lmp and gte cars do not add any variety to the overall experience. Just two beatiful cars.

The only cars i'm interested in are the free mercedes and the old aston martin, if there is a dedicated invitational championship involving them (for ex: historic championship made of 2/3 races) i will buy the dlc.

Removing DLC events from the career tab was a good call in the update. I can still achieve 100% while skipping DLCs i do not like.. going back i would've never bought that terrible new zeland track.

Overall can't wait for the historic tracks. Old hockenheim.
