Project CARS - "Someone asked for more Le Mans racing machines?"

I certainly didn't. We have more than enough. Bring 3-4 WTCC or BTCC MODERN cars.

Not sure why. Maybe the IA isn't quite ready to be raced on an oval yet? I mean, racing on an oval is quite different to racing on a circuit, so I would think that they have to make a slightly different IA model for the ovals.

We ahve magnet cars, how can someone think of driving in ovals until it's fixed?

If one of my mate buddy drivers guy's whatever ask me to race on that oval ......... I will shoot him :P

Yeah, same for me, waste of DLC, money and resources from sms.

So it's a waste of money and resources to replicate test tracks with a circle but not one without? (Even though many real life test tracks have high banked circles) Why so much hate?
Yeah damn that unrealistic thing, it's nothing like any real tracks...

...Oh, wait.

At first glance I thought this was a real photo. Looks very nice!

OK a 2 mile Superspeedway isn't exactly a circle, Bristol, Chicago, notta neither. A big circle, ahh no. I'm all for some Ovals, no test track circles.

I think the part people are not getting is that banked circle is not for racing on. The purpose it serves is the same as the ones at real life proving grounds, which is to create a type of endless straight line. It's to test top speed. You make a huge circle, with large banking, and you can use it to test top speed, high speed stability on banked surfaces, fuel mileage, reliability at high speeds, and more.

If you tried to race there, it would be a monumentally boring race, as there's no place you need to slow down.

The purpose of this test course is to test different aspects of a car. I can't believe SMS are getting hate for this. I think it looks great, and I'll have a lot of fun driving on it. Looks like a bit of everything there to really put any car through it's paces.

It would be like PD putting complex string and ssrx together as one test venue, and then people complaining about it, I just can't believe it lol.

Yes, you're right. That's probably why the oval (or circle) isn't a layout to race on.

Don't forget the initial purpose of this track, it is a TEST track, not a RACE track.

I still think they should offer it as a layout anyway. The slipstreaming might give some action.

Not gonna lie I was a little disappointed but it should still be a blast. I thought it was gonna be your typical oval. Man I can't wait until Indy and Daytona.

What's the reason to hold the DLC back for NTSC a week if all of the versions are updated?

Even better, why not just have a universal DLC release date of Thursday? Then the Europeans/PAL are not getting content earlier or later and neither are the Americans/NTSC.

Afaik the upcoming PS4 DLC isn't going to be released anywhere this week, everybody will have to wait until next week.
