Rouen Les Essart and Spa two old tracks I've learned to race in Grand Prix Legends and nooooo chicane in it .
A flow from here to Tokio .
One thing I'm very curious about is how they gonna present the old Spa track to us regards layout .
As far as I'm aware, the Spa they'll be adding will be the '60s one that bypassed Stavelot with the banked right hand sweeper, and had Eau Rouge and Raidillon, and the faster run through Malmedy. In other words, the fastest version.
Nurburgring is the entire site, the Nordschleife (literally "north loop" in English) is the northern part of the original circuit. It used to have a connecting loop to the Sudschleife (south loop). The connecting loop was two long straights which ran parallel to each other, with big looping turns at each end. F1 used to use the Nordschleife, including the connecting loop straights, for the German GP, while the Sudschleife was more popular for motorcycle racing. The Sudschleife was basically just a smaller version of the Nordschleife. Very similar roads, with lots of different corner types, and undulations. The building of the GP course we all know now replaced the old connecting loop of the Nurburgring, and permanently cut the Sudschleife off from the Nordschleife.
Here's some illustrations to help visualise it:
This shows the new GP Course overlaid on where the Sudschleife and the connecting roads were.
This is the Sudschleife as used with the connecting loop Start und Zielschleife (start and finish loop).
This is the combined Nurburgring, showing the scale of the Sudschleife.
This GPS photo shows how the modern GP course ripped the Sudschleife off from the Nordschleife. The remaining roads of the Sudschleife are mostly public roads now.
