I'm really disappointed they decided to go to next gen. I definitely will not be buying a gaming computer or PS4 (maybe computer) any time soon. I was very excited for it coming to current gen when it was said a couple months ago if i remember correctly.

Well, bad for you. The rest of the world is getting an next-gen console earlier or later...

One thing, you should only do physics testing in free practise and with visual damage only. There's some bugs crawling otherwise.. (dont remember the nature of those)
I exit mode and then enter back in for every lap I do which stops bug happening if it still exits. I haven't really done any physics testing for giving feedback as such but a few laps now and again to see how it is progressing. I trust that Nic and Ben are doing a good job in providing feedback to make game more realistic. I need to really look into details of telemetry one day, and understand more what is happening better so I can give some detailed feedback if needed.

Nah, in the basis this game is like Stunts 4D but than without the jumps and track editor.
Oh how I enjoyed Stunts back in the day. :dopey:

I lost more than a few hours playing this game. it was awsome. oh how I miss the good ol days

Gorgeous! That's one badass looking prototype. Looking forward to see the second winner in-game.

Looking good BUT I don't know what's the point of those 2 weird air intakes included in the front windshield. R18 don't have that and I suspect if a real life prototype use them there might be not enough room for the windshield wiper to move correctly.

Driver cooling? It gets bloody hot in the closed canopy ones. If designed well the windscreen wiper could easily just run over the top of them. Probably wouldn't even get much water in them either, if any.

That detail could have been different, Toyota's intakes looks smoother, but it's not my model so it's ok. Overall it surely looks good. "Reventon style" front lights looks interesting in a proto.

So I haven't been following up on this game for a while, how is it coming along? Do we still have a 2014 release date or has it been pushed?

Been a while since I've last checked here. Just saw that winning design from the Prototype contest, looks neat. However with this new build, does that effectively mean the "Asano LM11 TDX" is removed and gone?

Also, any templates from the Mclarens or the Benz? I've got some more rFactor paints I'd like to do.

Asano removed: Nope. It will stay there along with the two contest winners, of which one (probably the one seen above) will get an alternative drivetrain (atm its a diesel, with maybe a petrol hybrid to come) to make for a nice P1 field. If no Audi license can be obtained, they will have to modify the LM11 design though, obviously.

Mc/Merc templates: Not yet. You can download the template for the SLS, but its not yet paintable in the game afaik.
