I've just realised that the us release date hasn't been announced for pcars in the US. Could LE be available when it is announced?

Yes, November 18th US release. But I guess we're not going to get limited edition.. hopefully we do.

I think Youtube videos are highly compressed, it is still good and quick but you can't really tell how good graphics are. For instance I saw Forza 5 videos there and I thought the graphics were nothing special but later I stumbled upon Gamersyde and the difference was like night and day. Forza 5 looked so beautiful (specially the Nurb) I had to buy it! Any way yeah I seriously recommend Gamersyde, it takes a bit of time to download the videos but it is well worth it.

Also, Has anyone seen videos of the XBone version of PCars? I am starting to get worried, I haven't even seen a screenshot yet.

Well it's still only a bit over a month since the Project Cars Limited Edition was announced. When GT6 anniversary edition was announced it took quite a while before we could actually pre-order it in the UK compared to the States. Amazon didn't get it but Game did (I think Gamestop might have done too but they don't seem ro be particularly big here) Maybe it sometimes takes a while for contracts to be negotiated for limited edition exclusivity. Announced in big fanfare and then negotiate deals? Anyway to cut a long story short you've still got nearly 2 months to pre order that edition if it is available in North America.

I was a bit disappointed in some of the Gamersyde footage once I'd downloaded it and transferred it to PS3 so I could watch it on my large TV. It was the stuff from the show I downloaded and while the format of the file might have been 60fps I wonder if the shutter speed used on the camera was slower than that or if there was a conversion error. I'm sure it's not the game itself. If you look at the people moving around behind the screen it doesn't look like a 60fps recording to my eyes.

I'm sure they'll get some XBOne footage out eventually. The build notes appear to show the developers are currently doing a bit of work on the video rendering/output for XBOX. Perhaps the PS4 work was simply prioritised/done first.

I've downloaded all of them and the quality does vary. I posted a short list of the best ones in another thread, I can repost it for you later if you like.

It's ok thanks Johnny as I've looked at all of them (I'm currently monitoring/lapping up the Project Cars forums like a hawk. Can anyone recommend a really basic Bittorrent client that would allow me to download the files that they have shared using that method.

I was talking about the website in general. When they do "direct captures" or however they are called it is great but yeah the stuff that was recorded from the show floor wasn't that good.

Great, I hope it goes gold on time. Do you know if the XBone version will be running at 60FPS? Sorry to keep bothering you with questions but I haven't been able to find any news regarding the XB1 version...

The game is going to its final stage. Still bad AI? Still flying AI? I read a lot about placeholders here and there. The list is long :D

Meh not sure. I dont know what his AI settings were but I´ve seen a lot of videos like this. It is not normal in F1 (or in Motorsport in general) to overtake 14 cars in 3 laps. I hope they improve this or we get another Gran Turismo / Forza game.




And also when you look at 3:45 for example. This weird acceleration and braking and driving strange lines.

I've seen vids with the AI set at 90% and the guy could only get 5-6th, it depend on how developed the AI is in that car

Ok because I hope I can do a 1hr race and not get 1st after 4 laps and then get bored. Not that I am a good driver. I would say average. I also hope there is no rubber band effect?

Yes the direct capture stuff is much better.

All I know is that the TARGET is 1080p at 60fps. No guarantees that it will acheive that yet. We'll still have to wait and see.
 
The last we heard from SMS about X1 was from two months ago when they said "PS4 is at 1080/60 and X1 is not there YET". It could be a whole new story now if they are willing to show it to the public tomorrow. I would put money it is 1080 or close and 60FPS.

The open wheeler (f1) looks far to easy to drive , hopefully they have all assists on as I would be expecting it to be locking up and generally squirming about under braking and acceleration especially in the wet !

It wasn't locked 60, it now is
 
on fb they published the tracks list, seems like a lot of tracks will be missing in the day one version of the game. For ex nurburg, historics tracks and so on. a bit disappointed. a guy commented that almost all tracks are full of bugs and need to be adjusted to be released and will come later... this is a bit of a let down if true

yes, it's not but they just write me on fb and historic tracks are out on ps4. also ovals seems to be out. they will be released later probably as dlc. To me it sound like historic pack in shift 2.
