yes, it's not but they just write me on fb and historic tracks are out on ps4. also ovals seems to be out. they will be released later probably as dlc. To me it sound like historic pack in shift 2.

Well, this is no news for me. It was already mentioned a few times here.

To be honest, I was expecting that all that is available now will be in the final game. Would be a huge dissapointment. And that is why I don´t preorder games.

I know I know not final. But anyway.

The game is going to its final stage. Still bad AI? Still flying AI? I read a lot about placeholders here and there. The list is long :D
What can I say that hasn't been said, it's not done yet. The AI has come a long way and is getting better "every" day. I've had some excellent AI races lately, and a few bumper car races. In addition, the graphical optimizations and physics/FFB has also come a LONG way! Not too long ago I wasn't so sure they would make the grade. Still seems like a ways to go but I'm not worried as they will fix was needs to be fixed after release. Many of the other sims don't have half of the content of pCARS and still have issues.

I don't see why you're disappointed, cars and tracks that aren't finished won't be in the released game for sure.

Well then they should have put an NDA and should have avoided showing us all the glorious and shiny content. Because we are all extremely hyped for that game and everybody was stunning about the huge tracklist and cars. If the half of the (now) existing content will be paid DLC, that would seriously be a huge disappointment. We know nothing yet ok but I was expecting some stuff like this. They smelled the big money and want to milk it now (if really the half content will be missing). If everything will be as free DLC available after release then its ok.

What missing half of the content are you talking about? Every track that was meant to be in the base game and is finished is in the base game. There are 8 cars in total that are part of some special edition. Everybody is free to think of that what he wants (I m not a fan of this practice in general) but 8 of 70 is hardly half the content?

I was pointing to this comment:

on fb they published the tracks list, seems like a lot of tracks will be missing in the day one version of the game. For ex nurburg, historics tracks and so on. a bit disappointed. a guy commented that almost all tracks are full of bugs and need to be adjusted to be released and will come later... this is a bit of a let down if true

Does anyone know if the console version are locked to country (language/measure unit) like Gran Turismo?
I bought GT6 from UK, i don't mind to be in English, i could change mph to kph, but i can't change bhp to cv, and thats annoying.

You're unfortunately wrong.

Why am I wrong?

I was pointing to this comment:

We already said that the ovals and historic tracks wouldn't made the cut (because they're far from being finished). Work that wasn't made on these tracks was made on other tracks.

The list that came out on Facebook is only the 100% confirmed track, that doesn't mean that the other tracks were removed from the base game.

What is wrong with you people?

Ok,
I have seen lots of videos, read many post, pre-ordered Project Cars and am hoping for the best.
Unfortunately i just watched a video of build 813, it seems that at this point, there won’t be lots of time for updates between now and November 18th, so I expect it to be pretty complete. In the video, I noticed that the shadows behind the car when the car is going through tunnels is really weird, I have seen this in early builds of other games, but this one is pretty far along so I didn’t expect to see that. Also, as I have said repeatedly, the Side View Mirrors Flapping around like doggy ears is just silly and unrealistic, In this case it is even worse as the rear view mirror is doing the same thing. Whose idea is this and why the heck is it in there??

I know everyone is going to get all bent out of shape but I also think the Car List is underwhelming, I was watching video that list all cars in build 813 and I’m simply not that impressed, I am still buying the game and I’m sure I will get some enjoyment from it, but I am not as psyched about it as I once was, maybe that will change but I guess I’ll see when it comes out.

This is not meant to be disrespectful, to the game or the fans of it as I am a fan also, I know people get really touchy whenever anything that is unfavorable about this game is stated, but I think I am just being objective, seeing it for what it is.

This is just my opinion, everyone should be entitled to voice theirs without being attacked.

Of course you can have your own opinion, but there are still misinformation and pre-release issues that some are using to criticize pCARS (not saying you are). Take the "...Side View Mirrors Flapping around like doggy ears...", they don't flap around on mine and I believe other WMD members mentioned the same thing. Specifically tried that car (98T) on the same track as the video on the latest build (today), to me that video looks like a much earlier release not 813.
I would respond, for discussions sake, in any forum whether pCARS, AC, R3E, GSCE, or others if something is said that doesn't match my experience, not specifically defending pCARS.

If you're giving your opinion, it's subjective, not objective. I expect there to be issues at launch, I expect content to be missing, I expect stuff to come in updates for months after the game launches. That's just the gaming industry these days. I'm not happy about it but it is what it is and I can't change it. I also expect they know there's an issue with the floppy dog eared mirrors and the shadows and all kinds of other stuff and will fix it if it isn't fixed already. Don't forget it's a relatively small team working on an extremely tight budget, not a AAA game from a first party gaming studio. It will get better with time I have full confidence they are committed to that.

However, I'm ok with 85% of the cars at launch. I can't drive more than one at a time and it would take me months to explore just 50 cars amd by then more will have arrived. Having 75% of the tracks I've seen in videos is more than enough for me to start with because again, it takes months to explore new tracks with a variety of cars. I'm just pulling numbers out of a hat of course, and no disrespect to you, but if not having everything you hoped the game would have at launch is important to you, maybe don't buy it until the price drops later on and all the content is there. I'm sure there will be lots of people jumping on board when the price drops to $39, $29 etc.

What kind of crap are they pulling!!! I was going to have my cousin in France order the LE and send it to me. I don't see too much of a reason to be in a hurry to get this game, nor my PS4.

All that has been said so far has been that "here is a TASTER (that means.... some) of the tracks that will be in the game. The official page hasn't been updated yet

This article was on Racedepartment

Project CARS has added to their location list, which they say has "the largest roster of race locations of any recent racing game".
The tracks shown below are those which have been added to the list to this point. There remains many more to come...

With the massive inventory of vehicles, the long list of locations and the stunning visuals, Project CARS is sure to be a game changer. pCARS will release in the US on November 18th for the US and November 21st elsewhere.

End of ARTICLE.

That sounds like enough to keep me going for starters and that article says there's more to come. I don't see anything on the official Facebook page to worry about.

Looks like they are withholding some of the big name tracks for now, maybe they are relying on them for DLC sales - I'm just speculating.

Bathurst straight away makes me happy, as well as some great other tracks in that selection. I don't mind paying for DLC as long as it's actually worth it. You don't spend over $4000 on a PC and racing peripherals only to not buy a few bucks worth of the software to actually enjoy it.

Really looking forward to getting my LE copy of PCARS and version 1.0 of Assetto Corsa :)

Whatever. Strange that people accept everything today when they become fanboys of a thing. Just like the Forza fanboys, when T10 removed all Porsches (oh yeah yeah of course licensing problems) from FM4 and then sold them later as an expensive DLC. But yeah its ok because I am a fanboy and am total blind.

Removing existing content to bring it later as paid DLC is the usual way nowadays. My only problem with that is, they should not have showed it to the public then. So nobody would care about later.

EDIT: And for everybody who does not understand me. I and I guess not only me, have seen that tons of cars and tracks on youtube. And people who do not watch it as close as we do here think that every content that has shown will be in the final game.

And to be honest, I would be damn pissed if I am an WMD member who can play with every track and every car at the moment. And then when V1.0 comes out they cut most of my favourite stuff out to sell it to me later.

Fanboysss lets go, start the bash on me ;)

People seem to be missing the point of what’s actually been said.

"Here is a taster of the tracks that will be in the game”

A taster, is showing/giving you a small part of something much bigger, for all we know they might start releasing details of more tracks in the final game during the upcoming weeks to release.

We just need to wait and see and have faith.

So much willingness to jump onto every conspiracy theory available, wow. You know, maybe this whole WMD idea and showing everything off during development wasnt a good idea after all and they should just include a paragraph in the future that no footage is to be shown by members in public, since people seemingly love to throw a hissy fit about every little thing. Do you really think we members would be cool with cutting away half the tracks or some other BS? There is no crap being pulled that we know of (well, except the Limited Edition, but that was discussed extensively @ WMD and it is what it is, unfortunately).

Anyway, I invite you all to check the track list thread, maintained by yours truly. There you will find the definitive track list of what tracks are planned for release and which arent. I even made it extra special clear to erase all possible confusion. And yes, those tracks that are planned as DLC are known to be planned as DLC since 2012/13.

Hm, so only three F1 tracks? Hockenheim, Spa, Monza?

No. Also Imola, Monaco, Catalunya, Silverstone, Nürburgring, Dubai, Suzuka - dunno where you got your infos from?

From the list above?!
Anway, they are currently updating their website so I guess we'll find out soon.

BTW. Imola is not a current F1 track and Dubai is no F1 track at all, as long as you don't mean Abu Dhabi.

I suggest you avoid the very childish name calling.

I don't understand the point of the criticism/hostility when it is not a final list and I simply pointed that out. As I see it they're just revealing things in stages to get more publicity. Still plenty of time before release day features are confirmed.

If no other locations were included than what has been confirmed so far then I might share your frustration.

Still the game with the most current F1 tracks. If that is not enough, you should probably buy F1 2014. I think this game has lots of great tracks. Espacielly with the historic content coming after release. I love driving on the old Hockenheim Ring.
