Oh boy. Dare you f me up. This is insane detail!!
But again, if the game is released, Show me some screenshots!! I will bow down if it's true.
I want to believe!!

Unreal! Don't get me wrong. I want to look it like that. But u guys gotta admit, this is more than a step forward (graphic wise)! I'm talking about consoles here.

Why I'm so flashed right now?! All the pics and vids I've seen are not that great. Is it me?! Have i missed someting?! Over at my German community, we are not that hyped. Or maybe not well informed.still don't get it.

That curve pic... OMG!

They are, moving pictures from a distance in a highly compressed youtube vid are not the same as a still shot.

The underlying geometry (or polycount) of the tracks is much more simple than it looks.

Yeah i do know that. Stills are always superior. But again, that level of detail, even for a screenshot taken ingame, is insane!

I will get my ass kicked if I post it over there (pic and your comments). 4 sure.

Screenshots will always look better the moving pictures because you simply can't see the texture quality of those curbs in a compressed youtube video when running over them with 200kph. This doesn't mean that those pics are bullshots.

You clearly missed the part where blowfish stated his system is low end.
I thought consoles were on high settings. Don't what his low end computer settings are meant to be.
For me it's 4 settings. Low, med, high and ultra. Consoles do match high. Am i right?!

Anyway. I'm going to sleep now... And really, REARLY, want this all to come true to consoles!

It's a Laptop, DELL M4600, Firepro M5950 (Equal to a Radeon 6700M) and i have every option set to low/medium, Textures High and get between 20 (AI Race with Fog) and 40 (Hotlap, Sunny Weather) FPS.

Ok, sorry might not be the absolute best places to take footage of (just took the first corner where I was driving atm).. So not possibly the most amazing kerb detail that can be found...

And on the first vid I could have shown more of the curbs, the car took too much of the attention I think, sorry.

This is with default settings (I believe the game scales he settings to configuration so might be different to someone else)

(And sorry only 720p from me (screen size), but in 60fps with chrome (as it would make a difference here))

Then with DSX4 and basically everything maxed out.. (takes a while to precess for 720p 60fps)

Before I fall asleep I just want to make clear: I'm a positive thinking person!
I want this game to become what we all want it to be, a very good sim (may it be on a computer or console), a project that lives on and grows after it's release, a milestone in partnership (wdm + sms) and a reference to all that follows.

Thx mate. Little sweet chocolate on my pillow. :)
But again, this is nothing compared to that curb screen we've seen!

Indeed, a video uploaded to youtube that is several GBs in size, then downloaded from youtube ends up being very small comparably. All that visual fidelity just...gone.
