Thx mate. Little sweet chocolate on my pillow. :)
But again, this is nothing compared to that curb screen we've seen!
You can direct download videos from Gamersyde and other sites that let you watch uncompressed gameplay and the difference between that and Youtube is like the difference between PS3 and PS4. Of course you won't get the focus in on the curbs and such it's all cars in motion, but it gives you an idea of just how good the game will look on your monitor. Remember too, there is no superenhanced photomode like you have in GT6 for example, where the cars and photomode environments are displayed at far higher resolution than cars and tracks are in-game. That's not a slag on GT by the way, it's just the limitations of the PS3. Photos from Project Cars are all in game, at the same resolution as gameplay, it just doesn't show up well on Youtube, but does show up in stillshots.

I think the track is one that is "on hold".. sorry, not possible to locate the exact same place that the kerb pic was taken in.

Oh nice.. you're quite a detective! Will see if I can find the spot..

edit,

Little off topic, but I have to link this.. from your link I found this gem..

Found the kerb finally :D Tried to took a shot.. not anything like a screeshot taken with DS9X (probably) but the detail is there, if you have the machinery to handle it. :)

You might want to report that video, cause at the 1 minute mark you can see some shimmering in the shadow between the curb and white line. Needs some stitching. ;)

Real life has shown me nothing is perfect, no matter how much you want it.. so slight imperfections are only true to real life.. :P

You can always strive for perfection even though you will never achieve it. Which is, from what I know, a pretty Japanese way of thinking. A way of thinking that is not necessarily bad, although it might be a good reason for high stress levels. :P

Woke up. Watched it. Will fall asleep again. With satisfaction. :) thx.

And I'll take this over to me community. Let's see how they react. ;)

Thanks, was just wishful thinking I guess. Just a few more weeks...
I thought the same thing..

I'm going to preorder project cars sometime this week! :D
I'll show you guys the recipt when I do :P
Why would we be interested in your reciept (or the fact you preordered for that matter?). I preordered but don't find a need to post about it let alone with proof!

Sorry that my excitement for the upcoming release of the best racing game has made you feel the need to shut my plan down and/or was a bother to you. :( :P :sly:

Oh you can be excited thats perfectly understandable, sorry I didn't mean to be rude before, it's just that most people in here are excited and have likely preordered or plan to buy at release I am genuinely wondering why your preorder reciept is important compared to everyone else who is getting the game..

Were you once not in favour of the game and now you want to prove you are converted or something?

Quick question off topic. A couple of days ago it was stated that you can blow the engine due to over-revving.
Will this be completely random, or is there a fixed amount of over-revs the engine can take?
Would take a lot of immersion out, if you knew the third over-rev would kill the engine everytime, for example.
Would prefer Russian roulette style randomness. Every over-rev would make you wince out of fear you blew the engine.

Apolpgies, if this has been answered already.

I hope white smoke will be added in a future update, an on screen message saying 'your engine has blown' just isn't the same...

From what I can see, there is white smoke. In the video I posted in the mechanical failures thread, you can see it in the rear view mirror. It would be much cooler though if you would see it actually see coming from the engine bay :)

A video from today where the uploader has an engine failure.
I expected something more spectacular than a line of text though
But I assume this is one of the things where they didn't add in the actual sound effect yet.
