Your comments makes no sense. You say you will not wave your arms and jump around in your living room. But you insist that the Wii crowd is ok doing it? What does the Wii crowd have to do with what you are not going to do? If its something you won't be doing it shouldn't matter if its Wii, move or kinect crowds that are doing it.

What I will not do in my future gaming sessions is jump about the living room or wave my arms around like a complete balloon.
Leave that to the Wii crowd.

Given that dancemats, lightguns, maracas, fishing rods, the Eye Toy and countless other items have had gamers jumping about for decades across a wide range of consoles its not exactly accurate to single out the Wii.

Hell I've seen plenty of people get animated enough with just a controller in hand.

You may not like the idea of motion controllers, but that does not automatically mean that anyone that does deserves digs.

Really?

I still say the Sixaxis controller was under-used as a motion controll device. Just look at the PSN game High Velocity Bowling and the various side games in GTA4 to see how well it works when put in the right hands. Even Call Of Duty 3 managed to take a not-half-bad attempt during it's gameplay.
Either you rendered an opinion on games you have not played or you purposely threw in a random post designed to work people up.

So which is it?

Motion controller Heck If my neighbor's could look into my picture window they would see me driving in my "Driving rig" giving other drivers the one finger salute. As far as the "Move" goes yes I bought one and I like it, of course I'm only a stupid kid as I'm just now going through my 4th childhood:sly:.

I might wind up with one because my wife thinks it looks fun. I know better. She has a pink Rock Band guitar and hasn't played in over a year. I rent her the My Sims and Animal Crossing games on the Wii and they sit for a month before she plays them.

If I buy Move for her I will likely use it more, so I need to find something to make it worthwhile. Fortunately, I already have the camera so all I need is the controller.

^ Eyepet? (Joke intended, I bought it to get the camera but will give it a try with the Move controller when I get it)

I know it's a long way off but Killzone 3 should be pretty amazing if you like FPS games. In the mean time I guess Start The Party and Sports Champions are the main choices, I'll be trying the demos before deciding whether to buy either or both.

Sport champions is great.
Tumble is excellent (over psn)

For more core games:
Since yesterday, heavy rain is available for move. really good with move. I'm replaying the whole game.
In less than a month there is an update for MAG. FPS with 256 players (more core than that will be hard ;))

About RE5: didn't played it as i have it for PC. But what i read in reviews it's great just the button layout on the move is not the best but after an hour of play you should be fine

I picked this up the other day and I really like it so far. I've only had the chance to play Sports Champions so far but I really enjoy playing ping pong. I was told I can use my SIXAXIS as the second nav. controller but I haven't been able to get it recognized by the game. Pushing the PS button only brings up the main screen, I've also tried turning the controller off and still it's not worked. Other than that it's been pretty good so far.

Does anyone know if GT5 will have anything to do with Move? Maybe using the two controllers as a wheel and when you squeeze the trigger you can make a gear shift animation to change gears.

Ok guys I have some questions for the guys who have the Move.

1) Does it require as much space to play as the Wii, The reason I ask is because `i have very limited space at the moment, I have a PS3 downstairs in the living room with my Wii attached and space is plentiful but I also have a PS3 in the bedroom and its more likely the place it would be used.

2) How good is it actually? I suggested to the other half "let get rid of the Wii!! but I got the look of death and was told flatly the Wii was to stay as it was hers. Will it actually replace the Wii in terms of abilities and software?

3) Do you have to sync the Pads up like Controllers on the PS3 or does the PSeye just recognize the move?

That depends entirely on the game.

The likes of Tumble, Heavy Rain, Flight Controller HD and a few of the Sports Champion games require very little room.

Two player table tennis however (Sports Champions) requires quite a bit of room, but is a great game.

Owning a Wii I have to say that Move outperforms it to a huge degree, far more that I had originally believed it would.

Small movements are far more accurate (even in comparing to the Wii Motion+), however its also the ability to handle movement on the Z axis that is the biggest difference.

The Wii really doesn't do that side of things well at all (movement towards and away from the screen), however Move deals with it stunningly well and it does make a big difference. Its something that Sports Champions Archery shows off well. As you move two controllers away from each other, the distance is used to provide the draw strength of the bow and therefore the power of the shot.

The ability to use two controllers together (and not have them linked by a wire) also opens up a lot of options as well.

You have to synch them up just like the normal controllers, but in the same way its a one shot deal. Just plug in the charge lead (same one as the Dual Shock) and its done.

You do have to calibrate the move controller for most games, but that takes a second, and is worth the tiny amount of effort for the accuracy you get.

I picked one up love it I have Start the party it's a simple butt fun game I also have a PSN plus so I got high velocity bowling move upgrade for free. I think it's cool how you use the move to navigate in the xmb hold trigger and tilt it right left up down that's nice. I dought that GT5 will use the move controller just the PS eye for head tracking.

Go for it! You already have one foot in the door of PS Move with the PS eye.We have all spent $50 on things we have regretted before but this one you might not in the long run. I am waiting but I have some cash for the $99 bundle only. I really want Time Crisis and RE5 Gold so far.

Got the move at launch and absolutely loving it. Also, how happy are you guys it didnt end up like the pictures in the OP! Hahha! Hilarious.

Sports champions is an absolute blast! Disc golf and ping pong are such good fun. They're also brilliant party games, along with Bocce. Quite impressed with the gladiator game too, although I only have the one remote at the moment so I've not got into it properly. Also left volley ball and archery alone till I do.

Bought tumble the day it released as well. Brilliant little puzzler but not convinced with its multiplayer credentials. Its just too slow to be exciting. I'd still recommend it to anyone, just for the fact that you properly experience what the move is capable of. Brilliant.

Also have RUSE, but i got used to it with a pad so I'm not going to make the transition. Also, with the levels sometimes lasting an hour upwards, i can imagine my arm getting quite hurty holding it up for so long!

To be more specific:

1) Sports champions as an example recommends you play 8ft(2.5m) away from your television. The camera is wide angle so you probably need the same width wise as well.

2) Basically what Scaff said... The actual controller is leaps and bounds ahead of the wii device. The accuracy and precision when playing tumble is nothing short of miraculous! However, what i would add, is the wii has an absolute wealth of casual games the likes of which we havent got on the ps3. (yet) Unless the missus is a hardcore gamer I'm not sure she'd be catered for on the ps3. I do anticipate more puzzle games on PSN though, and if you introduced her to tumble i rekon she'd be sold!

3) Nothing to add to Scaffs response :)

Oh stop it Captain Roh, I'm trying so hard to not buy it just yet :) Nice overview.

Tumbles IGN review was 3.5 but they did not mention its $10. It doesn't appear to be that bad and its one of the games i originally was interested in.

Leave that to the Wii crowd.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't look "less silly" with your mouth agape, eyes glazed over, smashing away at buttons and analog sticks. Trust me, it's all the same.

For those interested in some of my impressions on games, you can find them here (thought it would be easier to link than having a GIANT massive post, lol).

http://www.project-abraham.com/forums/entry.php?33-PlayStation-Move-Impressions

I'm currently writing impressions for Heavy Rain, Sports Champions (Full Game), and Tumble (Full Game).

Having played with the Move extensively, the 4 games I would recommend are Sports Champions, EyePet, Tumble and Start the Party. My girlfriend fell in love with the last 3 games since they were so casual yet so deep.

Yes, I know what you're thinking Start the Party being "deep." But the last 3 games should seriously be tried out by even hardcore gamers.

I hate casual games, but what Move has done with augmented reality for EyePet and Start the Party is nothing short of amazing. Start the Party especially I can tell you guys is TRUE 1:1 WITH ABSOLUTELY NO DELAY.

Tumble is another interesting game that uses how precise the Move is to it's advantage.

My girlfriend also fell in love with EyePet since the cute little animal just connects to you in so many different ways.

These games in my opinion are the cream of the crop of the launch titles. I only played the demo for Start the Party, but I seriously want to get the full version now.

Anyone who says the Move is the Wii 2.0 is *****ing you or they have not tried out the Move. Play any of the games I listed above and you'll see just how inferior the Wii really is to the Move especially EyePet and Start the Party which take advantage of augmented reality.

The best games are still missing in your articles Neal ;)

Heavy Rain is totally a new experience with move. And if you already own the game, it's just an update away.
The shooting passage with Shelby was so cool, it played it 5 times in a row.
Now got my platinium on that game :D

For all those looking forward to Killzone 3. Don't wait.
MAG had also an update last week and is now fully move compatible.
And after seeing the Killzone 3 move video, the controls are just the same.

The only bother for me was that for turning you need to "aim" yor move full left/right/up/down.
It took me approx. 1 hour to get the grip on the move with MAG. But now it's really cool. With the right setup in the menu, it's really exceptional to shoot with the move.
Headfrag!!
I'm still not on my perfermance level like with the ds3 but it will come. I know that at the beginning i was really bad at mag with the ds3 (coming from PC FPS). So training training training.

Snipering with the move is so precise. Headfrag ;)

Join MAG and move :D

The Move Games one is 5 pages long so I'm pretty sure it covers everything ;)

I actually got my Move controller yesterday and set it up. I only did the tutorial in the Tumble demo but it seemed pretty good even with the USB cable restricting movement (yes, I know the instructions say not to use it plugged in!)

I've not bought any Move specific games yet so will just stick with the demos for now although I do have Hustle Kings, Eyepet and Heavy Rain so will try them with it. Apparently Flower won't be getting a Move patch :indiff:

If I was only going to buy Sports Champions or Start The Party which one is best to get?

Oh sorry didn't see it was 5 pages long, so yes it pretty much includes everything

Start the Party is a bit more like the eyetoy games for ps2 and more aimed at kids.

Sports Champions is great fun and more themed on sport games, but surly also fun for kids.

The demo will give you a good glance of the two games.

(If the move is for your kids, go for Start the party, if it's for you get SC. But try the demos first)

^ It's fine playing it with the DS3 but I'd still like to play it with the new toy assuming the added accuracy and responsiveness improve the game play.

It's all good, I missed the other pages at first too :dopey:

My son isn't quite 3 years old yet so he'll probably use the controller as a hammer regardless of the game but I'll see how he gets on with the demos, maybe he'll surprise me.

I'm more inclined to get Sports Champions myself but I'd quite like my wife to use it too so if she prefers Start The Party then I'd probably get it although I'm pretty sure she'll be uninterested in both!

been using this for a while now, not read the whole thread so excuse if I touch on stuff thats already been posted........

First up MAG.......yep, patch 2.0 seems to have put move control onto MAG! works prety sweet but needs some sort of gun attachment for it to work to it's fullest, taping on a temporary "pistol grip" made it much easier, though hard to get to grips with at first.

Tiger woods 11....again works great, if your into golf then this adds alot to the game.

Bowling, best party game ever with the move controller, really works well with added alcohol content LOL

Ruse.....again works well, but takes some fidling to get it working smoothly.

I think the main issue is getting the right distance from the screen and camera, to close and things can get wqeired, too far and the slightest movemewnt is adsadurated. For some games it dose add an element to the gameplay, for others it's simply an alternative control method and dosn't add anything than just that.

i've been enjoying Sports Champions recently. in particular i like Gladiator, Archery and Beach Volleyball. i really enjoyed Heavy Rain when i first was released. i may replay the game with the Move patch.

Today I ordered a PS3 Move Starter Bundle from Amazon. I intend to assault the Sports Champion Gladiator and see how realistic it might be. If there's more realistic swordfighting motion out there on another game or console, I'd like to know about it.
