I've found a couple pf new Firefly Pendants and comics too, though I doubt I'll be able to find them all. I have no idea where the ones that you have to shoot down are located.

Before patch they were hanging on few trees, after patch they are just lying on ground. :)

I was too playing without any guides, scavenging on your own is the most fun :sly: Takes a lot of time but it's still fun to know the areas of our adventure.

Just finished my 3rd playthrough. Got the trophies for survival plus, and for fully upgrading Joel, weapons and finding upgrade books. Still missed one comic, book nr. 2 to be precise. So annoying! :)

Also haven't found all collectibles and Firefly Emblems yet, nor have I found all the places where you can initiate a conversation. This is difficult stuff.

I do find it a lot more rewarding to get these things without using guides.

You can now start new game and pick any difficulty, let say normal, and then try to scavenge with more precision.

If the missing comic is let say in Bill's Town so after you pick that Comic the Trophy will pop up. Because you found previous comics already, but on previous run.

Every thing you found already is stacked on server and you have to pick not 14 comic book all in one new game play, but only one that is missing.

This game is great but filled with few minor bugs that in tiny way spoils the fun. :guilty: But the story line and interaction is fantastic 👍 :embarrassed:

The Comics are quite weird. During the later part of the game in Salt Lake City I was going for the Comic lying on one of the ventilation pipe thingy's, and it wasn't there. I'm almost completely certain that I found one there on my 2nd playthrough. It's nice to know that it is registered on a server, but I want to pick it up again and again! :)

Also, it probably is the one in Bill's town. I shall find it on my next run!

I've had cases where comics didn't show up because I'd found them in a previous playthrough, and on a few occasions they didn't appear even when I hadn't collected them before. Restarting from a checkpoint however fixed that bug, so I was able to collect them afterwards.

One thing that's stopped me from picking up every item is that if you so much as go through a door at a certain point in the game (Boston docks for example), you're unable to go back/restart from your previous save and grab anything you've missed. I haven't tried playing through individual chapters to get everything yet, though I'm not even sure doing so will result in getting any trophies. Or another full-length playthrough is necessary in order to get them?

I'm also ruing the moment where I needed one more blade to shiv the very last door in the hospital, which it ended up being the only door I couldn't open during my second playthrough.

Finished the game on Survivor tonight. I had an easier time than I anticipated but used more strategy than the first playthrough and stealthed when possible. I have to say I really enjoyed the difficulty of it though and often found myself restarting a section knowing I could do it better/more efficiently. I will start Survivor+ in a day or two and go for the platinum.

Crouch walk continuously, use listen mode, take your time, aim for headshots. And spot like 🤬.

Use a mic, communicate with your teammates, and stick together. Never craft a health pack unless in a desperate situation as they are scattered throughout the map. Until you get good only sprint when you are trying to escape a situation you can't win. After a while you can learn to use sprint as a tactic to lure people in. One of Crafter2/3 and Healer2/3 is important IMO to have equipped. Good luck and stick with it.

My tips: crouch walk isn't necessary at all times, you can run around while standing as well (no sprint) and you won't be visible on radar. Handy when you need to change position quicker in some situations. Also urge your team to move around quicker. Element of surprise often wokrs better than camping at one spot. Got ambushed and wiped out like that numerous times.

Many thanks. I have also discovered molotovs are awful handy

They certainly are, i was playing yesterday and downed 3 enemies crouched around a supply box. If i have more than one molotov or bomb i double them up, throwing one straight after the other. But i only do this when im up against more than one person

We are going to get a new free multiplayer mode very soon called "Interrogation".
In Interrogation, both teams have to defend a safe filled with supplies. To locate your opponents' safe, you'll have to hold defeated enemy players still and interrogate them instead of killing them, which leaves you open to attack. If your team gathers enough intel, you'll have a chance at rushing and cracking the other team's safe, which turns the game into an assault/point-defense sort of thing.

Hmm, sounds like it could be interesting. Hopefully we get an announcement on the first DLC soon.

This is just so stupid. ND makes the same mistake that Crystal Dynamics did with Tomb Raider game, it was so awesome and they ruined with no single player DLC only with multiplayer DLC

Why they don't release extension for this awesome story ? Ehhhh is there any reason why i'm still keeping Last of Us Copy ? I could trade it already for some decent different game. Metro Last Light maybe or something like that in price range.

Jesus, I didn't know how much people hated the multiplayer . I find it a really entertaining twist from most of the shooters that I play. I've actually finished my first 12 weeks. Starting my second 12 as a Firefly. :)

Finished the game at the weekend and to be honest I was a bit confused at the end.
When Joel escapes with Ellie and he tells her about the Fireflies, was what he said true? Also does he mentally adopt her as his new daughter toward the end?
That was the impression I got.

On my Survivor + playthru now and have 4 chapters to go.

EDIT: Added spoiler tags.

It wouldn't bug me if only they didn't have trophies tied to the multiplayer. Personally, I think the MP is awful. ND needs to stick to single player games in my opinion.

Joel lied, and while Ellies clearly doesn't believe him outright, she went along with it.

I'm sorry, but anyone who ventures into a thread about a game that has been out for some time, should expect spoilers. My opinion anyway.

Or you can just put spoiler tag on your post and then those who want to read can and those who want want to ask questions or be in here without having the ending of the biggest story game of the year spoiled can do so. This thread is to discuss all aspects of the game, from helping each other, multiplayer, to story details. The spoiler tags are available for a reason, use them. Common courtesy.

Finished my Survivor + playthrough last night and after watching the ending again, I think I now understand the ending.

Joel lies to Ellie to protect her and keep her alive. Ellie feels guilty that she survived when her friend didn't and wants to avenge her by sacrificing herself to create a cure.

Now only have to mop up the single player trophies but at this rate, I think I'll be doing another playthru, I have 3 conversations missing. :(

You mean that guy that saved her multiple times from death?

Yes.
She was willing to give her own life for humanity. And he ruined that too for her. What an awful man Joel is. And why all that you ask? Well because he lost own daughter and in twisted mind of he's he thought Ellie could take Sally's place and become he's Daughter.

This is the only reasonable explanation of Ending for me. In Last of Us 2 Ellie setup her own clan of people and swears to avenge all Fireflies killed along the way by Joel who ruined her purpose of living.
