There wont be a Joel & Ellie 2. Atleast thats what they said. If they dont get a good reason thats the ending.

How do you know how many you have left? O.o Or did you check a youtube video or something?

Bonuses then statistics and scroll through. Want I wonder is there a way of knowing which conversations you've had so you can figure out missing ones?

Yes. * SPOILER *

This is the only reasonable explanation of Ending for me. In Last of Us 2 Ellie setup her own clan of people and swears to avenge all Fireflies killed along the way by Joel who ruined her purpose of living.

So you think she's mad at Joel because he protected her and her solution to all the previous murders is to kill the one person who looked after her...?

I'm not sure if you're a troll....

Yes.
She was willing to give her own life for humanity. And he ruined that too for her. What an awful man Joel is. And why all that you ask? Well because he lost own daughter and in twisted mind of he's he thought Ellie could take Sally's place and become he's Daughter.

Who's Sally? :dunce: Do you mean Sarah?

Also I'm glad you're not a writer.
Think about it, if you'd gone through all that with someone, bonded with them, and they saved your life instead of finding a cure, would you really try to kill them? :odd: Sure you might be mad, but you wouldn't try to kill them.

There is nothing what so ever to prove, or even suggest, that Ellie was willing to give her life for a cure.

I agree to an extent but the one quote from her at the end of the game when Joel says we can turn around and go back that says a lot about how she felt. "After everything we've been through. Everything I've done. It can't be for nothing." We all read into that one way or the other but to me she had accepted fate no matter how it would turn out. That doesn't mean I agree with USSR though.

Meeeh, people that was Hard Sarcasm :dopey: with destroying Childhood :yuck: i had to figure something to pull this idiotic idea further :sly:

Well yes i meant Sarah. :yuck:

Hmm, surprised no one has brought these up within the thread yet. Naturally be aware of spoilers if you have yet to play or finish the game.

Naughty Dog discuss TLoU alternative endings.

Also, some news about one of the multiplayer DLCs, which will be a new mode for online called "Interrogation" and will be free to download. That's a price I like 👍

TLoU new multiplayer mode.

The video contained on the page is wishful thinking and speculation from some of the IGN team, but below that are the details of the upcoming patch 1.03 and the DLC it comes with.

I'm sorry, but anyone who ventures into a thread about a game that has been out for some time, should expect spoilers. My opinion anyway.

That's a nice opinion and everything but it's ridiculous to say that someone should "expect spoilers" just because the game has been out for a while. The mods don't take kindly to spoilers, that should give people some kind of a hint as to GTP's stance on them; basically they're bad!

It isn't in the AUP, so I don't see why you'd bring the mods into it. Also, you can find spoilers that aren't hidden any plenty of threads in the "console PC gaming" board". I stand by what I said. You'd have to be very inexperienced with the internet to start reading a thread about a game that has been released for several months, without expecting spoilers. Going in there to ask a question is different, as you can expect people won't respond to your post with spoilers. However, as you can see from my last post, I've adapted to not step on anyones toes.

Spoilers are heave threat for anyone who waits for the game to play. I got mine Last of Us copy like 7 days before every one else and i didn't spoiled a single fact from the game. You have to learn that some small numbers of players will respect your approach to their request of not releasing anything from game main plot.

It's just polite to anyone and cost nothing.

I began my first play-through on Survivor a couple of days ago and I'm finding it pretty comfortable. It's not as solid as I thought it might have been but there's definitely a noticeable shortage of ammunition compared to the lower difficulties. I've been taking the advice from you guys by being very stealthy, in nearly every situation. I've not needed to use my weapon for the majority of the play-through so far so I've racked up quite the stash of spare bullets! I'm guessing it'll obviously get more difficult the further I progress as I'll encounter more and more enemies and infected. Just have to take my time with it.

In relation to using spoilers, it's not so bad if you're talking about something minor within the game as it won't give away something story changing. But if you're discussing the ending, especially the ending of a game that's as well received as TLOU is, then it would be expected to include the use of spoilers. You have to remember that not everyone gets the game and completes it as quickly as you might. Even if it has been out for a few months, it doesn't change the fact that there are always going to be new players arriving. That said, if people haven't completed it, they should still be aware that reading through a thread a few months after the games release will obviously contain game changing information. It works both ways, really.

On a hard playthrough again and haven't shot one bullet all the way to Bills town  See how much further I get without!

Hmmm you might just found new way to enjoy the game after there is nothing to do in single player. 👍 This sounds like a challenge i like it

Well it's the trap part in Bill's town that yells "you shall not pass" tbh. ^^ But that's the only one where you're forced to. The rest is doable with shiv master and plenty of melee weapons. Could try that as well. :)

I made it through most of Bill's Town and all of the outside high school section without firing a shot . I melee'd and made sure to stay behind Bill so he would shoot anything with a shotgun that came near us. Works pretty well.

Edit: I actually pointed this out in my keys to playing Survivor from what I had done through that point.

3: If you have a partner with a gun let them shoot when possible to save you bullets. If you are able to stay behind Bill he will shoot away and use his machete, allowing you to jump in and melee.

There might be a BIG! problem in the Hospital with fireflies soldiers, although i think they are doable.

Also Sewers might be real challenge.

On normal, I used about 5 bullets in the hospital. It was easier without imo if I managed to be stealthy enough

I think the rule should be not to use bullets apart from places where you are forced to (Trap point in Bills town, end of summer w/Sniper, Boss battle in Bills town etc)

When you get trapped in the hut as Ellie could be a tricky bit without bullets.

We should compilate a list of places where guns HAVE to be used to progress, then bar them, get through the game on whatever difficulty.

I found stealth a great key, melee weapons and smashing bottles on peoples heads handy in a sticky spot!

I just dropped a molotov on four guys on the upstairs portion of the bookstore in Pittsburgh. Definitely the most I've killed with one but I actually don't use them often except on bloaters. I'm stingy when it comes to using supplies on survivor.

One change I wish they'd make - once I've maxed out Joel or all weapons they should change remaining parts and vitamins to supplies and ammo. I hate picking up vitamins I can't use.

Just started. good first couple of hours. Need to be very efficient with weapons, which I still need to get used to.

m8h3r
I suck with that gun and I struggled on that part with it on normal. I'm screwed when I get to that on survivor.

Just run around and kill the clickers first and you should be fine :) AND save your molotovs for the 2nd part.

That Ellie episode could turn Hard with no guns to Hard Core 3x harder than Survivor.
