Right guys, I will be hosting room 2 tonight. I we'll be opening up a room at 6:10pm GMT for an hour and a half practice Before qualifying. Q1 will start at 7:40 GMT.

Can someone please clarify a few things? Race will be 8pm GMT?

First race is today 11am setting and second is 2pm, what do these convert to as in weather wise...? I'm trying to work it out but mind has just melted........... :confused::scared:.
 
Gonna have to give it a miss tonight I'm afraid. Haven't managed to turn a single lap of practice and considering I've never driven at Bathurst before I'll probably be a danger to those around me. Best of luck tonight!

What a strange day of racing...!!?? :confused::confused:

Race 1 Room 1 - Comfortably in P3 after turn 1...then lag ghost just takes me out down the back stretch (lag ghost 1:49 - takes me out at 1:57)
(Ignore slight wall tap at 1:06:cool:)



Ok no worries...I make a nice recovery to P4...then disconnected with 2 laps left. 🤬



Race 2 Room 1 - Again comfortably in P3 on lap 1...then ghost lag hits Papa Skaanks at 12 secs...then completely takes me out at 29 secs. 🤬🤬



Big apologies to @Killer_Ramsey at the end...I tried to get off track as best I could. Sorry to ruin your race.

I've often heard about issues from other players being kicked off, lag, etc. Never really had an issue myself until today. To all those who have been disconnected, lag issues, ghosting, etc-I feel your pain:gtplanet::gtplanet::gtplanet::gtplanet::gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag:.

Wow the car was so bad in the dry it was a nightmare.

Managed 2.04.0 in practice but for some reason only 2.05.7 in the qualy and couldn't get under 2.07.0 during the race.
The car turned into a dog and was so hard to drive it was unbelievable.
No clue what had changed but the car was sliding all over the place.

In the wet I knew I would have no chance at all as the car was even worse in rain, spinning in every corner.
During qualy I tried the full wets which made the car so much more stable and thought I was picking the winning strategy here as I heard many others where using inters and were struggling.

Literally 30 secs later I hear @Skaankypuppy saying he's gonna go for the rain tires and I went "Damn you Paaaapaaa" in my mind.
Got quite a good start and managed to sneak pass a few and then chased Skaanky for half the race before he did a small mistake and I got passed.

Too bad about the DC in the first race @Over Active. Your race weekend would have been flawless otherwise.
A quick shoutout to many others who drove really well I thought; @Football67611, @weisda3, @DropBuckets.

@Rexus - Not sure if you checked, but I had similar issues practicing back and forth in the rain. I left the slicks on in the rain and was sliding everywhere. Maybe you did the opposite leaving the inters/wets on for the dry race and they over heated and lost grip?

Jeeez that was actually scary.
Let's all gather money and buy some flowers for @killerramsay at the hospital cuz that crash could have been fatal.
He should be happy he's still alive after that one.

Edit: @weisda3 No I checked, I had the correct tires all the time but for some reason my car got so unbelievable tail happy all of the sudden. Had to lift of in practically every corner in the mountain part and lost almost 2 seconds a lap in qualy compared to what I used to.

At least we can now all (except for @Skaankypuppy who's going to Vienna the poor bugger...) look forward to some races where you don't have walls trying to eat you for breakfast.

@Rexuz , I had a similar situation the other day with the car feeling completely different. I had a race, I had driven 50 times, and something was way off, not just the FFB bug. Pcars can be a bit mysterious at times, still love it though.

Room 1, had some great battles with everyone. Good fun, everyone was clean on my screen. 👍

What didn't happen is the real question.

@Rexuz Sorry again. The curb I was on pulled my car hard left and I countered it. Then when I got back on track I was still turning right and that's when I hit you like a World's Wildest Police Video. I guess the curbs are painted with super glue.

@Football67611 At the end of my video I wasn't trying to dive bomb you. I was trying to avoid hitting you.
