What track for round 5?

Right now a storm is coming in and I may have to unplug the PS3 (It's on a weak surge protector). If I'm not in the room, you know why.

Room open

1472-6118-3744-3748-9988

Ive got the weather and time setting to just the right amount of clouds I want. But then again I have to reset the track for Quali. :/

Also, This will probably be questioned by someone, but we are doing a full formation lap.

Oh, so we're doing a day/night cycle as well?

Wasn't planning the day/night cycle, no. Just time progression on 1.

About 35 minutes out. Don't think I'll make the start, but will check in to watch as soon as I can if there is room.

If you're joining this broadcast of this week's race at C3 Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 LeMans Enduro, as late as the broadcaster then I will do my best to catch you up to date. Mule currently leads by a very comfortable margin. On track position battles - carracerptp, GTP_Litchi and TnJF (DrWatson) for 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Outlaw just passed GTP_MichMich for 5th on lap 11 or 12. The first round of pit stops came at laps 8, 9 and 10 and a few laps before that, as this broadcaster was joining the race Grayfox was in 2nd. Not sure what happened but he now runs in 9th.

Current full running order lap 12 is as follows;

Mule
carracer
Litchi
TnJF
outlaw
MichMich
Nic-KL
Owensracing
Grayfox

This is dependent on in game data being accurate.

Nic and owens are battling for 6 and 7 on lap 13.

Grayfox appears to be closing on Mich while Mule looks to put Grayfox a full lap down.

Mule pits at the end of lap 13.

Outlaw gets around TnJf during the same lap.

Carracer and Litchi are separated by 2 seconds

Owens appears to have successfully made it around Nich

TnJF and Outlaw are now trading drafts and if they keep that up could possibly gain some ground on first and second.

TnJF disconnects on lap 15. This is good news for Grayfox's championship position as now the worst he can finish is 8th.

piss poor time for my cable modem to have it's first ever synch-drop... just finally came back online.

Ok this is weird. After closer inspection of the timing monitor I believe there is a glitch somewhere.

Although Mule is shown in first I believe the running order at the end of 18 is as follows;

Outlaw
Litchi
carracer
Mich
Owens
Nic
Grayfox
Mule

Owens and Nic appear to still be jockeying for what should be 5th and 6th during lap 20.

Current running order Lap 20

Outlaw
Litchi
carracer
Mich
Owens
Nic
Grayfox
Mule

Outlaw blows his engine (disconnect) on lap 21/22 giving the lead to Litchi.

With 22 complete

Litchi
Mich
carracer
Nic
Owens
Grayfox
Mule

The only real battle at the moment was Owens and Nic and Nic just stopped for tires along with carracer.

Order now stands at;

Litchi
Mich
Owens
carracer
Nic
Grayfox
Mule

during lap 23, carracer and Nick duking it out in the high speed sections.
This is the only significant battle on the track at the moment.

Final lap now in progress.

Finish Line -

Litchi
Mich
Owens
Carracer
Nic
Grayfox
Mule.

Sorry I missed this. Grayfox, grats on moving up the championship roster. Don't know it would have turned out any differently if I'd made the start but I did turn in, according to the folks at KY Speedway, a top speed of 162mph there this afternoon. That, by the way, was awesome.

Not to sure how accurate their top speed reading is but what the heck.

Hope to see you all in other series soon.

👍 I should have put 8-10 more liters on my 2nd stop.:(

Awesome racing with Owens after the first stint. :) (I think I've never done that much bump drafting...Well done!).

I had a great 2 laps race at the end with Carracer! :)

Yeah, I scanned everyone's car and saw your sliver the lap before you came in... 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, ut-oh... , 1/4, 1/4, 1/4 ... :sly:

That's the last endurance I'll be doing for a long time. Ninety minutes of effort just to be kicked in the nads, again. This game simply does not like me winning races.

Did I have enough to hold off Will? Like with Nurb F and Dom, I don't know. I wasn't gaining time, but I wasn't losing more than .1-.3 seconds a lap. Another epic finish both of us were deprived of. Too bad because I was on pins and needles, watching every split.

Think I added too much fuel, though, since I went with a full load at the end of Lap 8 and the game recommended 10 liters at Lap 16. Remembering how I got shorted the last time I raced here, I doubled that number. Think 15 would've been enough.

I have no idea what the splits were at the front. I was too busy screwing myself in the back and never being able to recover. I figured most people would have 3-stopped, so I did that, but I guessed wrong. :/

I got some pics, will post in a minute.

I had no clue about my strategy until I realized it was Lap 7 and I was still on track. Told myself I could 2-stop it after all. The last lap with old tires wasn't fun, though. :nervous:

Oh, and I got pics of bizarro world. Here it is:

(Yes, I took the first two while driving. Harder than it sounds...)

That sounds like a fun afternoon, I bet you felt the drive home was deathly slow by comparison. Then again I don't know how you drive so maybe not :sly:

My race was looking good but then it all went wrong. I think I did 100 pit stops, Whatever :P Every time I'm in Mules series I run out of gas at Le Mans.

Nice win Litchi.

I'd thought you'd learn to add some gas this time around. Then you went right by me during the first pit stop. I was surprised I didn't see your powerless car limping down the straight this time around.

My plan was to put just enough fuel in the car on the first stop to make it to the second stop. Keep the car light and build a lead. Figured I would be safe from any lagging (I had to major lag spikes that had me worried).

Then on stop 2 I would add almost full tank and sit in your draft to the finish.

But, I only had fuel to make it to lap 15 and I need 16. So I pitted early (Lap 15) and forget to add enough fuel. Then I pit again to fix that on lap 16, still not adding enough fuel. I tried saving gas but I couldn't make up an extra 4 laps. So I pit again.

Thought of doing that myself but when I saw the gauge around the halfway mark, decided it was too risky.

I noticed on first stint it took about a 1/2. So I put in 25 liters. Then next stop it said 28. I went 30 to be safe as I noticed it was more then a 1/2 tank per stint.

Was nice having Nic to race with. Good job working together.

Oh my, I love it when people run out of gas at Sarthe.
Think of how happy you made the drivers that got by you because of it.

DragonWhiskey is the winner of the day, and congrats to Will doing not-so-bad himself.👍

Litchi's win is even more impressive when you consider the fact that I punted him off at Mulsanne on lap 1. Sorry for that, btw, though I guess in the end I got the worst of it, since I wasn't able to recover once I lost your draft.

First of all, i want to thank you Mich for his tune. We both come in the room with no practice (and no tune) at all at Le Mans. So we started to practice with basis tunes. He quickly found a fast and stable tune and chared it to me on Skype. I was impressed how this tune was fast and so good on the tire wear. 👍 . We both hit a high 3:58 in practice iirc but we did crap in Q. Nevermind, we know that a bad Q at Le Mans isn't a big deal due to the draft power.

Well, my race started well until Mulsanne where i've been pushed off the track. So my fight for the victory has begun at this time. Was forced to push hard for the whole race, no time for re-discover my old Sarthe (I was born in this district btw, but never lived at Le Mans). I caught Nic in the main straight (Lap 4) and now the leader group was 11 sec far ahead. I was wonder how to close this gap. Jeff made some mistakes and i caught him in the Dunlop curve (Lap 7). Then he wanted to draft with me but he couldn't keep my pace in the curves. I decided to make a quick pit so i added only 12L. I managed to run a very good outlap just after my pit and i caught Tim in the main straight (Lap 10). Started to race and work with him to catch the leader (Carra). Unfortunately, he couldn't keep my pace and i had to go alone.
Start of lap 13, mid race, I was now 3.9 off the lead. But i knew Rich wasn't far behind and he already done his long pit.
I finally taken the lead just prior lap 16 cause Carra gone to pits. Rich was 2nd, 13.8s behind. Now, all I had to do was to prove my math skills and don't make a calculation fail for my 2nd Pit. So i added 55L.
Now the chase could begin. I pushed hard every laps to close the gap with Rich. I was 6secs off him when i left the pits. I watched every splits very carefully. That was so close, on every splits. I finally managed to reduce the gap under the 4s but Rich suddenly disappeared on the pit straight, lap 22. I instantly stopped to chase him and preferred save my tires until the finish line.

My PB was an 3:58.0 and mich hit a incredible 3:57.4. Wow mannn, this tune is AWESOME!!!

It was a very nice and intense race for me 👍 .

Very nice Will.👍

Guess it's a 3 way tie, with me Will and Rich all having 2 photo finishes we didn't quite get.

Good car choice Mule, liked the series, liked the car, liked that it was something I haven't run 2-3 seasons of.
