Just to let you know I won't be at monaco it's my little sister's 21st, so spa was my last race anyway goodluck to everyone in the last 2 races đź‘Ť.

Turbo thanks for another great season đź‘Ť

If there is a spot at the back of the grid, I would like to start there if possible. I didn't have a chance to Q due to things being hectic at work this week. Thanks.

Dr_Watson
went from blue sky to typhoon in the 3 minutes we were gridding;
the first 1 lap was a disastrous mess; dodge several accidents to get caught in the last one; caution; people didn't understand the pit rules so we had to slog around behind the safety car for over 10 minutes of needless talking to RT; about to the point where it became dangerous to be on sports; pit for rains on 6; oh sweet I'm a minute behind; bored, bored, spin, bored, bored, bored, spin, eff this.... pretty much sums it up.

Watched the rest of the race, was the least interesting spec miata race I've ever seen.

edit... and now my ps3 is still sitting on a black screen so I suppose it's locked up; awesome. đź‘Ť

p.s. sorry to be a sour puss but this is the only time I've ever rage quit something so... been a frustrating day. :/

Well, if it matters we all have been there and had enough. It's silly a game gets us like that. But hey we take our racing pretty serious. :)

To seriously sometimes...
At GP/F I was about ready quit the series, hated everything. My pace was super slow because I broke my controller, it works now but it won't vibrate anymore making me have to guess if I have grip or not. Then my wheels brakes started acting up then I found out the cable was loose so I fixed that now (a little late).
Then I remembered it was a game, nothing was really lost, and next week should be better....
It wasn't much better but I'm still here.

With you, that makes a grand total of...

...6 in the field. yeah, D2 attendance fell off a cliff after Laguna Seca.

I'll be there for sure. Wanting to q after Tri Auto race.

We just added a couple more starting at the back.

Attendance should be OK, but not really liking that people feel they can skip qualifying and just start at the back. Almost half the field... :indiff:

I can qualify after the integras if you want. I just figured I'd hang out at the back and not risk messing any points battles up.

Room up : 1472 6681 3158 0101 7649

Sure would be nice if people qualified :indiff:

Jeff and Aliens just qualified. Rich has entered their times into the sheet.

MULE and GrayFox qualified with me watching. Unfortunately Mule had a 4 off on both laps, so DQ'd his run. However I'm putting him ahead of those who didn't qualify since he at least attempted a run.

Car was a tad too loose for me, but even then, I just too too much speed for the corners I went off on. Oh well. At least I tried.

That makes perfect sense đź‘Ť

I also noticed RIP_DeadMansHand is in the wrong place on the sheet. I think it's because he has an apostrophe ( ' ) after the minute value and not a colon ( : ) ;)

What's the deal with Brosif? Anyone know? I even sent him a message today, but no reply.

Not sure.

Fixed the issue with DMH.

Edit: Also, I want to do track reset early tonight so we can let the new track sit for a few minutes to see what the weather will be like.

Well, there goes the division crown down the toilet. :(

Nige and I easily broke away. He went around me around Lap 6 or 7. Drafted him approaching the bus stop. Braked at my usual spot, but my braking distance balloned for some reason. Still think I had enough to make the entry except Nige took the entry especially slow. We collided, with me getting the front dinged up, while messing up his rear. Sorry about that.

We still ran together, but with the damage, Aliens caught up to us. That prompted Nige to head into the pits really early, pretty much ending my chances for a win. All I could do is try drafting Aliens with a banged up car for a few more laps, and hope for rain or safety car. Never came. Worse, Aliens swerved in front of me late entering the pits and I got held up as his stall was first. Probably cost me 3-4 seconds.

From that point on, I caught up to Aliens, bumped him every lap, and passed him only for him to attack back. Last lap, I barely got around him entering Les Combes, and had enough car that he was out of my draft exiting Stavelot for 2nd, again.

With Monaco as my worst track, getting a win is... well, it would definitely be the Miracle in Monaco. I may just skip it, though.

On the upside, RDS Autosports, team champions. :sly:

Yeah as I was saying in the room, as soon as I saw Welsh pit I knew that you and Alien needed to pit ASAP after that. Every lap you stay out on old tires you just lose ground to someone on new tires.

Here are the updated sheets:

Spa Results

Driver Standings (Good fights for the Laguna Seca race cutoff in both divisions!)

Team Standings (RDS Autosports Team Champions!)

I enjoyed the race a lot, congrats Nigel.

On to Monaco...but first I am reminded of the Div. 2 race at Suzuka where there were 3 or 4 safety cars and lots of carnage. Since that first race so long ago, we (Div. 2) have come a long way... I don't think the SC has been called since.
I think that Monaco will revert to Suzuka -- close racing and a tight course with unforgiving barriers will create a powerful environment for this next race.

Expect carnage. Expect mayhem. Grown men will weep before the race is finished.
Expect it to be EPIC!

The start of the race couldn't have gone any better as I was expecting be rejected back to 4th or 5th by the draft train down the straight after Eau Rouge, however turn 1 must have cost the pack a bit of time and only Rich passed me. We were able to pull away nicely as Rich says until the start of lap 7, when I felt I had a better car than Rich and might be able to break him, so I took the lead. Managed to get 0.9s up by the end of sector 2, which wasn't enough to break the draft. I believe this is what caught Rich out, the extra speed into the bus stop. When I last looked, Rich wasn't too close as I hit the braking zone, however as I started to turn in (no different to any other lap ;) ), I saw Rich closing fast on the inside. I tried to avoid contact, but couldn't and we both took damage. Soldiered on for two laps, but we were loosing too much time, so I decided to pit at the end of 9 just as Aliens had caught us, setting me up for a 15 lap stint. Once I saw Rich and Aliens staying out for another 3 laps, my series of 2'30.xxx laps gave me a cushion of about 10.5s after their pit.

From here on, it was just a case of keeping it clean and hoping the gap didn't start to drop too much with Rich and Aliens working together. Luckily enough, it wasn't until the last 2/3 laps that this was the case, but by then, I was home and dry.

On to Monaco to see if Rarebit Racing can put in another solid performance!

Congratulations to Team RDS Autosports on the Team Championship đź‘Ť

Lap 2 last night was about the best and the worst I've ever felt during a race. Had a great lap one, but got passed by Bdub like I thought I would (really wanted to make it hard for him since he's ahead in the points). The start of lap 2 was awsome. I was in a 4 car battle through Eau Rouge. I bump drafted Bdub past one of the other 2 cars on the straight. Not sure what happened but the other car missed braking for les combes and went straight (sorry if that was my fault, I was pretty focused on not wrecking bdub didn't really see what else was going on). So there I was sitting in 6th I think, feeling really good about that last section, I come off the left hander after rivage, hit the rumble strip with my right tires and the car snaps loose. All I could think is "oh no not again." As it does every time that happens, the car slammed into the wall causing right front and engine damage. I prayed for rain, and a SC the rest of the race, hoping that I could get caught up and get back up near the top 5, but no luck. I did however manage to run the rest of the race incident free and ended up passing Mule and Tboat.

Now all I have to do is finish 10 points ahead of GrayFox and 2 points ahead of Alien and hope Brosif doesn't show up again and I'll be in the championship...wish me luck...lol

Very happy to capture fourth today. Start of the race was a bumpy ride for me. Got shuffled coming into Eu Rouge then lag punted coming into chicane. Caused me to take the run off area. Thankfully no damage and all asphalt. Lost several positions I think back to 7th or 8th. Set my sites on cars in front and proceeded to knock down some positions. Gaining on the leaders really kept me digging. Pitted before 2nd and 3rd hoping to gain enough time to catch their draft. I did close a slight gap. But that went away when Rich came out a bit behind Aliens. Rich dropped the hammer!!! My hopes for a draft and catch 3rd was diminishing as Rich caught Aliens. Knowing I was alone and wasn't catching these guys. I just conserved my run to secure 4th. Great race. Watched the sky get darker and darker. Was praying for a caution or rain.

Good Job Rich on securing the Team Championship!!!

Well done Rich and Owens...
We tried to give you a good run but just fell apart in the last few races. :(

Hopefully we can finish strong in Monaco and salvage second.

Great job Rick, Jeff đź‘Ť

Any Monaco times? I'm sitting on a 40.9X, very messy lap though.
I had a really slow T2 so I'm thinking 40.5 or with a better setup 39.X.

hey r1600 i will not be able to make the final two races because i just got a job and have to work the next two saturdays. thanks for letting me race in a couple of these events and i will definitely try to join the next series. good luck to everyone and i will see you next time.

A couple quick questions:
How close can you get to "dirty" in the chicane? If you have 2 tires just over top of the red and white rumbles, and I mean right on the edge, over the bevel, will it be called clean?

And there are 2 meshes (maps) at Monaco, the one you see when you race and in replays - and the moveable camera, and the one you see only in the full res "pictures".
They are slightly different, you can be clean on the replay, but in a still, jpg, picture you can be dirty. which one is used in validating a lap?

Now, anyone posting Monaco times? I'm now sitting on a PB of 40.7 with about .3 left in T3. Just need to link all of them together.
