I didn't even realize that Diabilical quit until after the race. Gravy quit because he was upset that he was damaged under caution and I wouldn't give him his spot back.
Just before the last caution, I think I got on the throttle too quick coming out of Degner 2, got sideways, and drove straight into the wall

I'll admit I was extremely frustrated by that point, but the main reason I quit out is I didn't want you to call out a caution on my behalf. Just as i was quitting out, I saw you call out caution, I yelled out no don't do it, not knowing there was a bigger wreck up ahead. In hindsight I should've known you wouldn't call a caution just for one damaged car.
Last night was quite disappointing for me. I had a great practice session yesterday morning. I wasn't running real fast, but I was running probably more consistent than I ever have been, cutting a little more time off each lap and coming so close to breaking into the 13's. In the race, I struggled with consistency right from the start. Despite a few minor slip-ups, I was just happy that I stayed out of trouble the first half of the race. Once the cautions started to come out and the pack tightened back up, I started to run into trouble. I also greatly underestimated the difficulty in driving a car with damage on the front end. I also underestimated the impact the draft would have on my ability to take 130R
The cautions were interesting. I remember thinking around lap 12 or 13, wow everyone is staying out of trouble, then the first one finally came. I was honestly excited, because it gave me an opportunity to pit and catch back up. However, I will say I didn't agree with the decision to hold up and wait for everyone to catch back up, despite the fact that I was one of the beneficiaries of the decision. The caution should be long enough for the damaged cars to pit, if I catch up that's great, but if I was that far back where I still couldn't catch up, too bad for me. The change in speeds during cautions was ridiculous. I remember one lap, I was keeping a safe distance, going into Casio. When I got to the straight, everyone was so far ahead for a second I thought did I miss the restart? The last thing I'll say about cautions is that on restart, especially later in the race, some people get a bit more aggressive, which can suck when others are trying to be a little conservative too avoid the pack in front of them.
Next week should be interesting, no sand traps, no grass, no run off areas, just walls.
