They messed up their first lap, so they turned around and got a better run up to the start of their second lap.

Someone did that in JGTS at Suzuka and we let it slide no problem. They'd missed their brake point for the Casio Triangle; decided to write off lap1 and just backed up a bit down the road to get a proper run through Casio onto the straight so the 2nd lap wouldn't be handicapped.

Kinda becomes an issue if we're doing a 2-for-1 and you're the lead car though as you're reversing could mess up the gap to the 2nd car. IMO we either have to ban the practice or tell people if you're the lead car in a multi-car session you MUST wait off track for the following car to go by and create a gap before re-entering and getting a run for lap2.
... you know... for fairness.

... And hope you finish before the time limit.

OP
5. The white lines that run the length of each track are considered the track boundaries. This boundary extends in the corners to include the rumble strips.
6. Each driver is expected to keep at least two (x2) tires within these boundaries at all times.

The way this is written right now, both of my laps are clean.

On my outlap before my first flyer, I went wide on the last turn, but kept 2 wheels on the curb. It doesn't matter because flyer #1 was slower anyway.

Flyer #2, before the Corkscrew, on that random strip of curbing, I had 2 wheels on the curb, and two wheels on the white line inside of it. Apparently this is "borderline."

Nice time outlaw.
Thanks. Given I'm terrible at warming up tires, this was probably close to what I could run. It's probably P4-6 which is where I'll probably finish anyways.
^^^ Explanation?
I forget whether this is okay or not. Think this was fine in the past.

Also, may have to look at that rule, again. I actually have something in mind that may be clearer for everyone.

That's fine. As stated, that white line extends to include the rumble strip, so the car is almost completely "in" there. I run that line too.

a PURE | HEADS UP

We're approaching mid spring, and most of us go from winter to summer time. Or daylight savings as some of you say.

What's a tad tricky here is that we don't move the clock forward on the same date all over the world..

I.e, here in Sweden, we go in to daylight savings in the night between 25th, and 26th of March.

So expect to have some issues during the next mounth or so until all countries are on the same page again when it comes to start times for your races and quali sessions.

So make sure to take this in to concideration. 👍

PURE Racing to you all!
Best regards

If we don't get a bunch of qualifying runs today, I'll be send out PM's to remind people. (unless you've qualified already)

It's quite possible I won't turn a lap until Sunday morning. I'm hoping to qualify around 12-1pm EST on Sunday.

I'll probably try to qualify late tonight if I can. Might have to make sleep a priority over racing at least 1 night this week though.

I am nowhere near ready for a Q run tonight. I've had no chance to even work on my setup this week yet. I might have run 5 or 6 laps for this one. Not trying to delay things, just been busy. (And now I need to do a full brake job on my car this weekend!)
I will try to get one in as soon as possible. I am planning on taking a shot at this race. Thanks.

btw, if you want to qualify tonight I could go too around 7PM EDT

Aaah, but then I went outside after work and it was 65°F and sunny with cloudless blue sky from horizon to horizon. Took the roof down, bought some 'fear and loathing' sunglasses and immediately pulled the snow tires off when I got home. With the sticky Potenza RE050 summer rubber and first good day of the year it was impossible to keep myself from going for a drive in the *real* mx5.
After 3 months on the 16" wheels with high-sidewall squishy blizzaks I forgot how good that car is. :D

Now that I got that out of my system I'll have to try and get qualified up tonight.

You have the first flier lap time?
Qualified last night with Outlaw stewarding. Not sure as to whether sheet's been updated..
It's on the input sheet which can't be seen except for stewards. I normally let RT carry the times forward to the official sheet. 👍
