Will qualifying for next week remain closed or will those who didn't submit a time get to qualify?

If the race is pushed back then a new qualifying deadline for people that missed it last week only will be set for this Tuesday at midnight PDT/7.00 UTC Wednesday.

People that have already qualified may re-qualify, but with a 2% penalty - otherwise, the times will stand.

👍

Thanks for posting that.

And yes that's right, I'll need to post that on the OP news section.

That pillar in the RX7 blows. Can't see any right side curbing.

That's epic man, if only we could turn the steering wheels and hands off in GT5, then the immersion would go up a few notches... let alone change the seating position and FOV... What's so hard about that to integrate anyway?

But yes, I'm jealous :x

Looks greats owens. Must be fun.

Also it will be even better when you see my car zoom past on the right hand side lol

Looks like I might be able to get in on the action after all. I'm going to at least qualify and will be running the Celica.

Wanna bring up the qualifying extension and penalty to those that have qualified.

I kinda see things in a respect of those that did the wrk on time should not be punished.

So maybe the late qualifiers go at back in their respective order. Or allow those that qualified a chance to do a one lap flyer or just requalify.

Curious how others feel.

I understand where you are coming from.
What about the people who couldn't make it last week, so didn't submit a Q time? With hindsight I could of submitted a time just incase,
I wouldn't object though if I were to have a % added to my time.

Neither would i Like 10% lol

I don't mind giving people a small window for qualifying with no penalty. It makes sense to give that opportunity for those that didn't qualify because of unavailability for the original race date.

I think a penalty is fine but not too harsh. Isn't there a 2% penalty for anyone qualifying after Tuesday? I'm also content if people don't get a penalty.

Although, some of these people would've qualified had they known the race was going to be postponed. I think the safest route is to qualify anyways just in case you're able to make the race or it gets postponed. Ya never know what's going to happen.

I think it is perfectly fair to qualify without a penalty, if you did not qualify already. We all get/got one shot.

Yeah, pretty much what they said^

But I did have one compromise in mind: how about we just limit the qualifiers from today and tomorrow to one hotlap?

Perfect!

I don't agree as I didn't do any practice as I knew I wouldn't be able to make the race.
However for reasons we all know it got postponed and now I only have 3 days instead of 6 days like you guys to practice. So now I not only get half the amount of days to practice I only get half the amount of laps to qualify which is 1!

I only practiced for like thirty minutes then posted my time... I know you have a right to a better standard of practice before a qualifying, but surely you don't necessarily need more than a day to hit a circa pb time?

I'm throwing all the people who couldn't show a bone here, any other series would've just given you guys the cold racing shoulder - and that shoulder's crazy.

Several of us did qualify and did sit around waiting to Race. That has to count for something.

Honestly. Make it simple for all. Just wipe those times of people that wanna qualify again and run this as a regular week to those that did not qualify or wanting to drop their previous and try again.

Seems this levels the playing field for all and should not cause any heart ache.

Yes I understand that some/most of the people that qualified had there time wasted sitting around but that had nothing to do with people who didn't qualify because they knew that they wouldn't make the race start.

So why should we be penalized because of an error with the PSN?

I agree with everything starting from scratch as a normal qualifying/race week only if people want to re do their laps

Ok fine, I just don't want to deal with this so we're opening up qualifying again.

No penalties or changes to qualifying as usual, same deadline time of 1am PDT/8am UTC Saturday.

People who have already qualified can keep their times but if they want to re qualify and get a slower time than their initial one, they will lose their faster time so it's a risk.

Final decision, no more suggestions regarding it after this.

Hmmm, it's no risk for me since I ruined my quali. May get my re try out of the way tomorrow :).

WIN for all involved.

This is why I love PURE.

Due to continued crap happening to me in races i'm taking a break from online racing for a good few weeks atleast to clear my head. Also I will take this time to put my heart and soul into GT-A round 8-5, why not you never know.
