Even if you have corner rights, you can not leave your opponent with nowhere to go.

You need to give him enough space that he can stay on track, else you have forced him off track, rights or not.

If you enter side by side, you go through the corner side by side.

Just my 2 ...

That's what I thought. But I was sent out of the track once by C-Falcon. And he didn't get a penalty because he had "earned the corner rights".

EDIT: Sorry, I would answer a more complete explanation, but I think I should stop hijacking the thread with this for a while!

First off, I'd like to apologize for how heated things did get.
It didn't start out that way today and escalated quickly. There's a couple pictures I can take from this second video if need be to clarify why I found it so offensive to be told to pull over and park.

If I remember the incident you speak of, I said C-Falcon braked too late, and left you nowhere to go. You always have to leave the car you're passing room to keep racing, even if you've earned corner rights.
I didn't make all(actually very few) of the final decisions on penalties in WSGTC.

I've brought up clarification on this rule several times, and between a few of us the current reading is what we've gotten. If anyone knows of a way to re-structure the wording for corner entry, I'm sure running it by Eddie, etc couldn't hurt.
It's always a debated topic, and usually both sides point to the rules, which makes me think the wording of the rules could be improved. I'm not good at that stuff though usually.

What for times are we seeing?

We didn't do that many laps. The best time we saw so far is a 2:24.8.xx
Generally though mid to low 25's are good. 24's are very good. Pole will probably be low 24's.

EDIT : I have just noticed that in the standings for round 8, GV27 has been given the bonus point for pole instead of josh.

Those standings also have Paul's and my point and positions mixed. I finished 6th and Paulmac 7th.

I think I did a 24 back in WSGTC but it was a perfect lap and I doubt I will match it .

Josh you basicaly need one more good weekend and you have this championship in the bag :D.

Well you'll get your next best score so if your more than 40 infront it's yours.

Why has Alex got my pole position point?
Fixed.

Yea, Paul is ahead of William but i don't understand why, all typed datas are good so that's strange.

Plus you can see that Alex and dom are not penalized. Just want to know if that bother you guys.
If we penalize Alex, is what Dom has more points?
Is it useful to penalize Dom? (fyi, he is 21st on the standings).

So i think it's fine like that.

William, I'll contact Tim to fix your wrong place on the race results ;)

Hope so only did 5 laps yesterday and got a 2:24.8 so I know there's places to improve 👍

And I've done many laps and haven't gotten a 24 yet ha.

Cool thank you. Maybe it has to to with fastest lap. He ran a quicker lap. Then below, the last fast time aren't in order but those don't have total run time allowing those to be in order. Idk.

Csl I hope things are cool. I think both of you are great drivers. I need you to understand, I didn't say to stop. So I'm taking this comment as a shot at me. You are miss understanding what I said.

Litchi was in Gv's position. I was in your position on the right going down the hill. As litchi (gv) came up on my left I (csl) held the brakes a bit longer. Litchi went by, he went to far in to the chicane. I then (in your position) made the turn carrying speed, not as much as if no one was there, but did not stop. Just slowed up. Litchi had to stop because he was now in the chicane. Nowhere did i indicate for you to stop. Ok.

Edit : if you guys would like to go back and erase all the comment about each other I'll gladly do mine an take down the videos. Replace them with a smiley face. Pure is a great group and things will happen with any group. When you guys are posting your actually trying to sell the idea of whos right and wrong to your peer. This is why I posted videos so they can see and not just hear.

I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Dom and I were merely discussing our own interpretation of the event and the regulations. We may not agree this time, about this particular event, but I believe we both agree that this could make the rules clearer for future similar situations, and if this is the case, then I'm satisfied with "debating" the whole thing.

PURE is indeed a good group, but everyone can always strive to be better. And even more fair. 👍

Nah guys, don't erase anything.
All these posts show that PURE uses a lot of communication and members always have arguments to defend their position. 👍

And everything can happen in PURE, even between 2 core members ahahah ;)

Cool. Will, on the results and points page. Paul's total time has a period after the 18 and not a colon. : Maybe thats it. Nice job on getting it up so fast.

Need a French to English translation on that one Will. Not a clue what that means.

But no, I don't care much about penalties, my only concern is that we're all on the same page regarding the rules of engagement.
That and I'm just probably not going to attempt any future races at Monaco. I know I had a shining moment there once, but the track is just terrible for racing imo.

PURE | JGTS perhaps?
A lightning fast Lexus DENSO DUNLOP SARD SC430?

I remember that! :D

Things are fine.👍
I understand now what you're suggesting, the problem with it is, when you brake at your latest braking point, slowing "extra" is simply not possible.

I do understand the method, and if you watch where Josh F passes me I literally waited in the outside of a corner to let him through.

And what Alex said below.

:) IIRC, my first Pure win, first GT500 series race win, and first(only?) time finishing ahead of Tony, ever. :) All at once.
Unfortunately my opinion on the track is made. In GT5, it does not provide good racing enjoyment for most people that race there, most of the time.

Litchi
Lol. I meant that if we penalize Alex, does that give you more points? lol
Ahhhh. :)
That's always been my problem with the penalty system, not that there's a way around it.

In any case, things get heated, they usually do. One video clip of me having an argument with my brothers (and we enjoy it even) would give a good demonstration that my words seem angrier than I am most of the time. :)
