Raybrig seems cursed, and the Takata is prettier... so you might want to just leave the rubble at Lesmo 1 and switch cars.

HAHA!! Lesmo 2 I might add.. lol

And "cursed"?? Hmm, something tells me that a "cursed" car is driven with dirt behind the wheel.. lol

Reading that new page I rekon the "marked increase in player lag" is the bit thats affecting me as I didnt notice any lag in free run then all of a sudden when we get onto the straight for the start everything went mad.

Also thanks TnJF im a glutten for punishment :P.

holy cats and dogs... Has anyone tried running these cars in full wet at spa?
I needed some cash to buy cars (for a potential upcoming pure endurance event) after a few spins with the Billies in the online b-spec cash cow I decided to check out the new time-trial and one of them is spa full-wet with enough head-room for these spec cars... so I took the Autech Motul GT-R out for a spin.

Yikes... doing 2:35 if I can keep the back end from running away. Insanely hard even with TT physics. Rivage and Les Fanges are deadly.

needless to say I'm not doing a rain-dance this week.

So, how about the enduros?
It seemed pretty clear to me that the majority thinks that the single heat races should award the same amount of points as the dual heat rounds.

Yeah, I agree.

So enduros should be x1'5... (Yeah, not double :D )

By the way, Tim. Are we talking about 2'35 in 80%+ of water in the track? Just wondering, and why hide it, I want to use it as a reference :)

yeah, that TT starts it at 80% by the end of lap 1 it was > 90% then 100% forever.

Good, thanks! I haven't tried it with a GT500 but that sounds like one hell of a lap 👍

Did the 1.5 multiplier on Le Sarthe and baked it into the code for the future.
Tightens up the scores at the top since you, dom, and rees got a pretty good boost out of it.

Not so sure it helped me out that much, as I didn't have the best race there. I fell further back from the top with the addition..

Although, I did gain a few points on those that didn't race D1, or missed the week entirely.

We do have some Endurances coming up, and I definitely think the 1.5 multiplier is correct to be there. Dom's point that the ballasts are given out the same each week, means the points given out need to be similar as well.

Should be a fun(scary) week in the rain.

@Dennis & Eddie - Are we qualifying on the non-weather track as we have done in the past, or are we qualifying in the rain? I would assume we are qualifying on the non-weather track, unless I hear otherwise.

just looked at weather and Sunday still says rain/snow showers, its looking more like a wet race now.

in a way it cou,d be an advantage for me as I have no ballast now hehe

On these weather tracks, I know we have choice of Racing Hard, Racing Intermediates, and Rain tires. Can we also choose to use Sports Hard tires?

Little bit of ballast might actually be helpful in the wet.

Either way we're all going to have to cook up 2 setups since qualifying will be sunny and dry. :indiff:

I wouldn't think so.

o.

hmm yes true all about where the ballast is placed.... Damn lol

Why would we be allow to use Sport Hards if Racing Hards are the spec dry tire?

Yeah we're qualifying on the non-weather version of the track.

And as far as your asking of using S1s... I'm all ears on how you could go faster or longer in the rain with them.

+ race car on sports tires just seems wrong
you know... because racecar ;)

Lol.. I guess you guys don't seem to like my sports soft tires idea.

I haven't practiced with them yet, but in a few runs in the online B-spec seasonal, the sports softs work quite well in the wet. They last longer than the intermediates and rain tires as well.

The sports tires have grooves on them that channel the water away. The intermediates have some, but are of a bit softer rubber and wear out faster than the sports softs. The rain tires seem to be racing softs with grooves, they seem to wear out the fastest.

All of this is just my observation with B-spec. I figured it would probably be similar.

As far as which tires should be used for a race car.. I am sure the race teams would use whatever they were allowed that gave them the best performance. If it were sports softs, I'm sure they would have no problem using them if they fit regulations.

But of course I am fine just using the racing hards, intermediates, and rain tires. I just wanted a clarification before practicing.

I see your point, Rees (and I honestly think it's interesting), but I believe limiting the use to racing tyres will give more interesting races. The idea's good. But I believe rain in Spa will be already crazy, so let's just embrace the craziness.

For now. ;)
But I already have 2 dropped rounds. The way it was, it would be best to drop 2 endurance races if at all possible.
I'm sure it'll even out through the next 4 races, where 3 are enduros.

I'm game for SS, but IIRC, on grip real physics online, SS is actually a good bit slower then the proper racing tire. Could be wrong though.
The B-spec might be using grip "low", which really changes the game on wet tracks.

So I decided to take pictures, and then got tree'd, twice.
But out of 25, here's a couple I liked anyway. :P

Great turn 1 spread

Awesome formation lap

I took one of Red and Welsh taking the checkered flag too, but seem to have lost it. Sorry guys.:(

Cool pics. And I totally agree about the formationlap and start procedure.

We're really getting a hang of it! 👍

how did you get a 2.35? :ouch: I can't do better than 2.42 jajajaja

Kinda like this.

I didn't save the other attempt so I sat down quick after work and made that special for you ;)

Enjoy.

I'd still prefer single file :D

Seriously? Why?

Oh yeah, I said that pre-season. And really the more I do them the more I agree with my first impression. Single file is safer, easier, quicker.
But I'm also not really a fan of the random impromptu drag race created by the double file. On a grid start we all have the same green light but the roller just feels random.
*shrug* personal preference thing.

I hear you. But it all comes down to each driver. If everybody is sticking to the rule "Do not floor it before the car ahead of you go", the start will quickly becoma a single file from a double file. Making the field roll single file from the very beginning would lead to huge distances between the front and the back of the grid.
