Doesn't surprise me that lag makes the car move so far. In Pouhon you're going > 100mph. As you can see here, at these speeds distances are pretty big for small time jumps:

+0.091 = 91ms which is the average latency from NY to LA
The distance from Spain to NZ is even greater so you're probably looking at a bit more, but in this photo the cars are also going ~150mph so that would make up the gap.
So when things get laggy is usually > 150 ms or 0.150 so that's going to be almost a car-length of potential inaccuracy.

True.. On my screen the other day I won a race against my forum mates (strange as it sounds) and by the time the scoreboard sorted itself out I was 3rd.

Wouldn't it be .091 to the front of the NSX hood which is even further?

Well I must say that's very interesting seeing how the lag affects each others replays. Nicely sorted out guys and a great lap there GV! 👍👍

@Tim, are you trying to suggest that you actually won that race, but lag gave it to me :sly: :D

Clearly it was me who won the sprint race. I will post the video to youtube so that you can see it was me that finished first. :sly:

In all seriousness.. I am glad you guys got it sorted out. A good example of why you always need to save the replay of your own qualifying lap.

I'm still qualifying/racing. It's Spa; even with the rain, I wouldn't try to miss this.

I was just busy with RX7C stuff today. :)

By the way, didn't answer to Nige before; thanks, mate! I was aiming for a 14.9 on practice and something around 15.2 or 15.3 for my qualifying. I actually got 15.1 on practice and 15.0 on qualifying, so I couldn't be happier. Especially since I get the feeling I lose quite a bit of time on first and last sectors (but my car works like a charm on the long middle sector).

Dr Dre
I will Q sometime today/night as well, soon as I get a moment.....

Dre, I'll be on from 5pm EST till 12am EST.

If you want to practice and qualify in a room that be great.

I'll post a room number or join a current in about 4 hours.

Little Taste of Our Fun from last nights 4x4 Snow fun: that's supposed to be chrome. LoL how we found mud at 15 degrees and 4"+ of snow is beyond me. We found it and had to hit it twice for good measure. LoL

I should be around, too.

Looks like fun, Owens. We have been getting some good snow up here in the Mitten as well. I have been having a riot in my MazdaSpeed6 doing four wheel drifts every chance I get. Don't get me wrong, it's no Mazda 323 GTX (man I miss that car) but it still is fun for a big, fat, heavy sedan.

Room up

1472 - 6399 - 9009 - 5384 - 9211

Can anyone pop in and steward my quali within the next 15 minutes or so?

We got a few inches recently as well... The mx5 makes a good snow bunny. Buckets of winter hooning goodness. With the blizzaks I get to have as much fun as I want and the car is almost impossible to get out of control. 👍
