Yeah it's our on PURE site sorry man. Posted it here as most of the PURE guys will be in here .

The time is nuttier than a squirrel by-product for me, but I'd like to give it a go.

Races are <= 1hr, yes?

You can see in JGTS 1's thread here that most of the time we did a 175 km race followed by a 50km sprint race with a reverse grid of the starting grid of the feature race, but occasionally ran a 250km-300km enduro. The 175km races with a formation lap last around an hour, the 50km sprint race around 20 minutes and the enduros around a hour and a half.

Thanks, Adam. I did look at that - I wasn't sure whether the format would carry over. It's not that I mind longer races (far from it), just that I've only got about 5-10 minutes leeway before getting myself and the family ready for our various destinations at 6am on Mondays  I'll keep an eye on the thread as it develops.

No problem. Ah right I get ya. Well I would imagine the 175km distance for most of the races would carry over, especially if this new aero hasn't altered the tyre wear much. In WSGTC 1 (and 2?) we used to run 150km distance but it was always best to run a 1 stop so increasing it to 175 meant that 1 and 2 stops were both viable strategies for people to decide on.

Sounds fantastic, count me in! can somebody PM me the details should the series be setup in case I miss them? also where is the facebook page?

Looks right up my street, love the concept and I am excited to join in :)

Love the enthusiasm 👍 Thanks for the interest. Now that the HSV is released, we're starting testing and will have a lot more details on the actual series coming up this week. Stay tuned.

and boo, just as the HSV comes out, I have to go to work. Feel free to post opinions and thoughts on the car in this thread to keep me company :D

Races: I think we'll go with one 175-200 km race. Not 2 races.
We'll have to wait and see how we'll handle the possible 2 rooms etc.

Car testing will begin soon.
JGTS 1 specs are in the link provided by Aderrrm on the previous page. I guess we'll end up pretty close to those specs, but the cars will be capped at 502, 512, 522 etc to remove the possibility to tune up your PL to make up for low aero setting (cheating).

Excellent thinking.

Heh guys!! long time no see jajaja I'm back from india and ready to race, f course a new PURE championship is the best so, if it is any free slot I would love to join.

Cheers!!

Awesome to see you back man! How was India? Have a new girl or anything? :P

But yeah, it would be great to have you. The championship is 3 races shorter than season 1 so we really need every one to make sure they can commit 100% to this series. In-fact, that's the biggest requisite and what we look for most: people that can attend almost every race and are sure of it.

Hope to see you on track soon.

We're currently testing for new spec's to integrate the HSV. So far I've found it handles a lot like the GT-R pretty much, it just needs more power to keep up. the 502 it has stock is isn't cutting it. But it handles beautifully for the most part, the engine's peaky, but it's a Honda :)

Ups!! i forgot her in India jajaja

I will be there in all of the rounds! I promise :) so, count with me for the JGTS2 championship! when do you guys spect to start it?

posted up on PURE forums but im equally looking forward to this.

Wardez, please PM me should you need help testing or gathering data, I will lend my man hours happily!

Specifications and rules can be found here for season 1, but there will be changes made:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=227945

Also, details on the audition process will be finalized soon. The idea of the "audition" is to ensure the driver has good awareness and racing etiquette in different racing scenarios which Pure stewards will engage them in with a demonstration session done live with the driver. There's is no speed requisite, you don't have to be fast, just fast on your feet, so to speak. JGTS hosted the cleanest racing season hosted almost anywhere last season and we are going to do everything possible to keep it that way. But above all else is the quality we hold most highly: dedication. And we have our ways of testing this as well.

Just ran the HSV on Fuji for a good hour or so, and I'm absolutely in love with it. It corners like a dream an actual dream. I have a few questions though.

My best guess is when deciding who to use what cars and what not will be the random selection like in the first season?

And secondly, since Aero has been improved or so, are we still going to be running full downforce or will that be compromised?

We're looking at some different options regarding both of your questions.

Assigning cars: Not sure at all exactly how it will be done. But something like prior JGTS 1 I guess. You know: Rank the cars from 1-X (Depending on how many cars we decide to include, which pretty much depends on interest), then sort all choices in the best possible way.
We'll most likely reduce the number of cars (bye to the NSX's), but allow 3 drivers/car, but only top 2 score points for the team.
But as the HSV might attract a lot of interest, we'll probably allow 2 teams = 6 drivers for the WEIDER HSV-010 team.

And the aero aspect: Initial testing indicates that full aero is still the way to go.. Need to test a bit more though.
But no matter the aero, we'll most likely cap the cars @ 502, 512, 522 bhp, and @ 1100, 1110, 1120 kg intervals to ensure that power can't be boosted if aero is tuned down.

We've used the GT-R as benchmark, but if the WEIDER (517 bhp, 1100 kg, 604 PP fully broken in) can't keep up as stock, we'll slow the GT-R down a tad to make sure we can include the HSV. JGTS 2 won't start without it. 👍

If the GT-R's going to be slown down a tad, would it be possible to re-test the Eneos and the other GT-R? May make them a little easier to fit the pack if we're slowing them down all in general.

Happy to help with testing whenever, just post or send me a message when testings live and I'll be there!

It'd be a lot better for you to jump into the forum Josh, all data and testing is collected there 👍

I'm going to give the ENEOS and WOODONE a spin to see if the last update helped the handling.
I would'nt get my hopes up though.

Vehicles are going to be assigned based off of a driver preference graph. So every driver that's accepted into JGTS will have to fill out a small survey detailing which three cars they'd like to drive most. This way, when we assign cars, we can give most every one their 1st or 2nd choices and even out the teams properly.

So the Sard may be your first choice, but if you really want an SC430, I'd recommend filling out the survey (which will be put up within the next week or so) as: "1 - Denso Sard 2. Tom's Petronas 3. Bandai Direzza"

Then you'd be sure to get an SC. Make sense?

Man, I'd love to get in on this but I'm really busy at the moment and Sundays aren't great for me anyway. I'll try my best to join you for WSGTC in the new year.

Good luck with this Eddie, and the rest of you guys 👍
