Doing some longgg testing. But guh, I burned myself out practicing earlier today. I think I've had too much GT5 in the past couple weeks. Time to stretch my legs in iRacing and pCars again for a bit to reset. Too hard to resist since iRacing's in week 13 right now and started an SR boosting Spec Racer Ford series. And races are every 30 minutes :D. There's gonna be so much carnage xo.

I'm wondering if maybe the Lexus would run well by adjusting gears so that it's only using 5 gears. Has anyone tried this? I know the Lexus has a good torque curve. Comments?
At Laguna I never touched 6th gear in my SC430's, but then I doubt I'll touch 6th gear in my HSV here either.
I also only use 1st entering the final turn and chicane,(to make it turn-in harder) then I upshift and exit in 2nd.(2nd-3rd short shift exiting corkscrew)

Just been doing a couple of laps on Laguna seca been running low 21's anyone else done any laps?

Simon and I ran some laps yesterday getting similar times, low 21's on a good one. We both did very similar best laps at 20'7/8

My prediction without not really knowing anything is that there will be a few 1'20 in qual and that 21'5 will be safe for D1.

Either the downforce is affecting times slightly or every one's just gotten faster, or maybe it's the new spec's? But anyway, low 21s used to be worthy of pole by a good margin, now it sounds like it's gonna be a mid-field time. I used to only creep into the 20s every so often back in WSGTC days, now it'll be necessary. The competition's just getting better and better, so awesome.

I'm not saying that the SC430 is not competitive in the slightest bit. I know with the right driver, it can be a force to be reckoned with. I'm the type of driver that wants an immense front end for turning. This car just seems too stable for that. I have to throw this car around to get a good lap time, which causes me to burn my tires. That's why I picked the RX-7 in Gate. It has great turn in, with controllable oversteer on demand. With this car, I can't get the back end to rotate unless it's a lower speed corner on power. It's just a very frustrating car for me.

Very nice pictures! Really hope the standard of racing at Fuji will continue for the rest of the season!

I just done my Q with H and Sebastian as my witnesses
Hit a low 21'. Was hoping for a high 20' in my 2nd flyer but i missed the last corner :(

immense front end for turning

In my short time with PURE, this does seem to be a common theme... totally different to what I've always been used to, struggling to "work this out".

The SC430 is fine coming out of the corners, it's semi-drifitng lovely at Laguna for me, but going in, I loose so much time.

Compared to what I'm used to, the car feels awesome, but in this company, the turn in just doesn't cut it..

My fastest laps are happening 5/6 laps in - I'm gonna be screwed for quali :(

Need to find something fast..

Nice pics Dom 👍

Car was on correct specs for Fuji race.
Thats interesting because everything I have read about the race tell a different story. The fact that you were even allowed to start the race is another issue altogether.

Do yourself a favor-DQ yourself, apologize to the group for making the mistake and show what the Z can do at Laguna.

How bout...no.

Car was on spec for Fuji. I had to lower the power limiter to get it there, but I was in and we raced. Everyone knew I had to lower the limiter and allowed it to happen. Not my fault I was allowed to race.

Conversation over.

basse-101

Lap 1: 1:21.971 clean
Lap 2: 1:40.985 clean

Just a note. He ran the Z. It says Bandai on the site.

You wasn't on spec. Ever during this first event. You said you qualified out of spec. You changed oil which throws car out of Spec. You was caught with an illegal car, It was a honest mistake. So own it and drop the round. Cause it's truly the right thing to do.

You also don't decide when conversations are over. This ain't your series or your thread.

Simply put, I WAS ALLOWED TO RACE.

If I was to get DQ'd after the race, they should have said something up front. They didn't. I raced. Result stands.

On to the next round with a NEW CAR.

You are right about the conversation being over, you are a waste of key strokes.
