Mule, could you update the OP please, with the car specs regs for quali (setup/no setup, etc...) and the race format? Cause I don't have the time to read the latest pages of this thread. And I don't know if anything has changed since the preseason race.

Thanks ;)

Thanks for asking man, but it's not actually a PURE derived method of qualifying. It's a legacy method we've been using in series between Denilson, RT, Mule and I since we started organizing races at GT5's launch.

He put a great explanation up in the OP Travis, it's really simple.

You came into FMSC at an exceptional time, the only season we went without our regular week-long live qualifying format.

We've always done it this way, from FMSC 1 to now, every single one of Mule's RM series and in all of the series leading up to PURE JGTS, so it's a much proven, and much fun, method.

Sorry, missed the OP changes đź‘Ť
Funny, I was wanting to join a series before but that qualifying method sounded too complicated to me back then so I never tried.
Then I saw FMSC and went "That sounds simple, I know a couple racers, I'll try that"
Glad you guys did that for FMSC 3 or I wouldn't be here.

It's really easy. Once the grid is set, we do what I did last night in the Toyota 86 race by calling people out one at a time to line up, then the race starts. I know last night the grid looked incorrect on people's list, but when the race started everyone was in the correct order. This method works about 95% of the time.

Yes, now I know it easy.
We did it for the Tokyo race too.
BTW, That tree on the side means nothing, it's the number in the top left corner that dictates your spot. If it's wrong, the start will be bad.

Yeah that's why I turned my list off. Adds a bit more excitement to the race too, not knowing who you are trying to chase down until you get to them. :dopey:

Edit:

Now all you need is that sweet little logo you were eyeing *nudge* ;)

I support this. :D

Done some more practice today took a second off yesterdays time I'm down to 1'46.6 my setup still doesn't feel great but it's getting there. Anyone else done done any practice I need something to aim for, I'm pretty sure we're going to see 1'45 at least. I really hope the times don't go as low as 1'44 or I'm fudged lol anyway I'm hanging up my driving gloves for tonight :D.

Our second show was canceled tonight 'cause our box office thought we would only have one show according to an old schedule, so I'm ready to hop into a room with you all.

I'll look for a room in a sec here (after I finish eating) and if I don't find one I'll start one up and post the number here.

I'm finishing putting wheels on my standard cars. I really shouldn't stay up, but if you post a room in the next 20 minutes or so I'll try to hop in.

OK yeah, I will deprive you of sleep. lol, posting in a minute.

Apparently I'm not allowed in the room. I'll probably have to reset my modem, but I'm not going to deal with it tonight.

I'll see everyone tomorrow.:(

Had a good session. Perfect race with outlaw, grayfox, and Mule.

Hit 1:46.7xx after some tuning. Especially important is stiffening the spring rates from stock. They're way too soft out of the box. 2 front 0 rear ride height's also a good setting to start testing from.

Cheers

I had my ride height alot higher instead of stiffening the springs, think I was running something like 23 18 for ride height. Have you broke your car in yet ? think i was at 497bhp

Yup car's broken in at 497. Although outlaw hit a 46.8 and he still has a bout 10hp to go.

You have a reall weird rh btw, but I guess it's worth trying out.

My understanding is that the ride height and springs are still backwards so jacking up the front does the opposite of what it does IRL. Of course, my setups are considered to be, to put it nicely, insane, but what else can I say? I just don't like to turn the wheel that much.

Ah, and to make it all nice and official...

#4: outlaw4rc (outlaw4rc): Le Mans Blue Metallic / Brilliant Red

Here's my tune if anyone wants to try it, still having problem with front tires wearing quicker than rear :yuck:. But car feels good to drive you can be quite aggressive through the hairpin without ending up facing the wrong way :dopey:. Currently doing high 146/ low 147

497BHP,975kg,607PP

MAX Downforce

TRANS Max speed at top 207mph- 1st - 2.304, 2nd - 1.561, 3rd - 1.163, 4th 0.902, 5th 0.725, 6th 0.602, Final 5.250 Max Seed - 236mph

LSD 9, 13 , 7

Suspension -

23 18
8.4 10.3
5 5
4 4
4 3
2.0 1.8
0.00 0.03

Brakes 4 / 7

Notes - If you want more oversteer you can raise the front up to as high as 28 you just need to be more careful through the hairpin.

If you find the brake is kicking the back end out to much then you could put the front brake upto 5. But best to get the rear doing most of the work as the fronts will wear fast.

I can't actually remember how I set the trans up  I think I made the gears longer with the final drive then set the max speed to 236 then set the final drive to 5.250. Sorry I know that's bad but hey I'm a stoner I forget things :dopey:

Anyway that's what I think, but I'm interested to see how other people are setting up. Also Mule my car colour is Matte light green/purple rims đź‘Ť

You and me both. Might be able to do it after the 86 race tonight. Maybe.
Quck tip:
For a full breaking just send it to the B-Spec 200 mile race at Mazda raceway.
If you run an open room, I will try and join you.

I broke mine in with bspec G-Valley enduro. Im online as well so I'm looking to set some times if anyone can help out.

2hrs @ 100mph :D which is probably the average speed on seca maybe 2hrs 30mins
