If we end up with 17 drivers, I will sit out this week to leave a room of 16.
The OP says that the grids are locked 2 hours before the green flag and that you can qualify late with a 0.5% penalty.
I don't see a problem in splitting the rooms now. But for the future: I think a better option than having to adapt the grids every weekend (even though it is short) would be to promote a little bit so we get 4 or 5 more drivers. I really don't like having to punish the part timers like this either.
After all, one of main initial ideas was to carry over the popularity of GATE 2 over, not turn it into a club race.
I'm torn between 1 and 3. I'll wait and see what others say.Müle;8352287Alright, so for splitting the grids (because I'm assuming Tony will qualify anyway), We have three options.
I am in favour of option 1.
Maybe even set D1 at a minimum of 12, with the remainder running in D2.
Option 1 with an even split, I see no problem with it at all. Remember racing in GT4 Cup?
10 man races are fine; any number more than one can be good if there's some close matches (the hard part). I'd have to think about option 2 more, but I'd lean towards 1 or 3. If 3 is instituted, you would pretty have to stick with it for the season, yes? Does there need to be 1 less point per position in D2?
I'm also okay with not racing. I understood the risk, and didn't prepare much, but it didn't seem fair to specify full time when I might miss several weeks (I'm uncertain at least the next three weeks, for example).
I'll try to be awake on reserve, but 5am is not the greatest time to be doing that - happy to go to last on the reserve list behind Dave.
