Knowing what they are now it would be nice. In GT6 they were just 500HP but now they're 650. I wanna know how that drives!

Hi,

is it possible to implement to safe different controller layouts for people who share their system with friends ? or for people (like me) who want to use 2 or 3 controller layouts with an option in the tuning for selecting the controller layout.

Why ? example:

I use a Logitech G920 on Xbox with an H shifter but no there is now hardware handbreak available. I want to use the H shifter (with a rubber as an workaround) as a handbreak (gear 4 = hand break) or as a sequentiell shifter ( gear up -> gear 3 and gear down -> gear 4).
I didnt want to change this manual again and again... because i need this only on the rallycross cars.

A way to safe and choose a controller layout, would be perfect solve this :)

Has the controller vibration on Xbox been reduced? It is more than a little over the top even on 1% and sometimes actually causes my controller to disconnect momentarily on the first game. I've used xbox controllers on PC as well and the vibration is fine there, it's only on xbox where I have had the problem. This has probably already been awnsered but it is my biggest complaint from the first game
 
I dont know if this is only for FB but there are two options where you have to increace the FB (maybe vibrations too)... one in the normal settings and one in each setup. I have seen this after arround 50 hrs :mischievous: maybe this is your sollution.
 
are formation laps skippable? i want to have them, but for obvious reasons id rather not on the nordschliefe.
We've seen videos where the rolling starts start near the last corner. There's an option for a manual formation lap as well as rolling or standing start. Maybe will rolling on and formation off you still have control of your car but it's start you near the last corner.
 
For disciplines that have DRS and/or KERS will the game explain how they are utilized in said discipline? I believe IndyCar 2016 regulations had a set number of 10 second bursts of power and we'll get that. For Formula B in PCars1 you had one KERS charge per lap and the whole thing was used when you hit the button once. Formula Renault 3.5 V8 had DRS but you could use it whenever. I don't even know how the LMP1H cars work. Will the game explain this to us?
 
Quick question for @IanBell, apologies if it's been covered before...

When racing and the rain comes down, do heavily rubbered in areas become less grippy than less rubbered in areas prompting the player to take different lines in a search for grip?

Also, do marbles form off line causing a drop in grip if a car strays on to them?

as in real life, you cannot warp a formation lap . But you can simply disable formation laps in race setup.
if you join an online race, where the host didn't disable it, bad luck.

I'm not a huge fan of Chinese sweat-shop oven gloves either, especially after playing Assetto Corsa with its wide range of official Sparco gloves. It sounds like a nit-pick but it's really quite important in VR.
 
Tell me about it... I have a ****load of modded glove textures myself, from Alpinestars and Sabelt to Adidas and OMP and even those Stand 21 gloves made especially for the Porsche LMP1 team.

Unimportant detail to some, but a great bit of immersion for me

I completely understand it for those of you running in VR.

For those like me however (I run triple screens and turn the in game steering wheel completely off), you are absolutely correct that it is unimportant. If no one had posted anything about it here, I never would have even noticed it.... :lol::lol:

I have no interest in VR but I'll piggyback on that sentiment to request the ability to choose your suit/gloves to avoid some of the gross colors and add some personalization. :)

Never seen this happen before myself though I don't doubt it. Maybe some smaller races like the WTCC events do it that way? I wouldn't be surprised. The VLN and 24 hour races use the entire track because they have so many cars. Since we are limited to only 30-ish cars it would make more sense to have the formation lap just use the GP course I suppose.

You should at least be able to skip the Nordschleife in practice and qualifying to either start a flying lap quicker. You should also be able to cut the lap off to deal with a problem, even during the race(at the cost of the lap not counting) and for the cool-down lap. These things worked in at least one version made in rFactor 1(formation laps didn't work right though) but I wouldn't really expect it to be possible in any given title. Just not a high enough priority for most. pC1 had a wall there and I expect it still will be there. Would be a very nice surprise if it's corrected, but I'd happily settle for it just being possible to run a race with pit stops(and maybe with Bob) on the full Ring.

Being able to press a key to skip to the end of the formation lap would also be nice for long tracks and for when you are sick of restarting a race.
 
Video game or not, if you cut trees you need to replant them somewhere else!

For some reason I felt that PC1 looked better than PC2! PC2 has some kind of that yellowish tint to it! Also the scenery looked much better on PC1 (as you mentioned, more green areas and more trees).

In general I like the PCARS2 visuals more than PCARS1. The scenery far in the background looks more "warm" instead of cold and grey. I think that's the yellowish tint you speak about but I like it as it feels more real to me. And trees (when they are not cut by the SMS deforestation squadron!!!) are a lot more detailed than in PCARS1 as well.

To be honest it looks nearly the same and I'm sure it is! Basically it's the same track/cars models from PC1 slightly modified! Obviously they won't make it from ground again for no reason! But in general the graphics themselves feel exactly the same to me (if I neglect the color palette).
I mean if I am presented with this video without any annotations and they told me which is the newer one, I probably wouldn't have guessed it! Probably I would have said it's the same game with some very little differences! That's not a bad thing provided how good PC1 looks!

I increased the FB to 2% and it actually fixed it. Thank You for telling me about this. Shame I only tried this 16 days before PCars2 releases.

Well now I've noticed a wierd rattle from the right trigger when it vibrates

you use the shortcut for qualification outlaps in Raceroom Racing Experience (R3E) (along with 99 AI opponents) on both Nürburgring VLN (Nürburgring Sprint/Short + NGK Bike-variant chicane + Nordschleife) and Nürburgring 24h version (Nürburgring GP without Mercedes Arena + NGK bike-variant chicane + Nordschleife).

In pcars2 only the 24h layout is present.... sadly..

Looking at videos, it seems like they do the full circuit, at least for VLN. Can't remember where I watched them take a shortcut but I'm not going crazy. Perhaps it was for the quali laps as said above rather than formation. Still relevant either way
