With the changing conditions of Live Track 3.0, has anyone adjusted the behavior of their car over a race distance? Adjusting brake bias & anti-roll bars on the fly and tyre pressures during pit stops?

Yeah will pit crew be able to actually change settings on the car OTF. for example if they wanted to add downforce or take off some of the wing or adjust things like brakes tire pressure during pitstops. Kinda like what we have now but more actual effecting properties that you can do during P/Q and actually adjust it during the race. As far s i know you can do these type of things in the menu before continue to actual race.

If you're changing tyres, I think you'd be able to do that with new tyres anyway.

I think he is meaning more than just adding fuel/tires. How like in NASCAR you can add/take away wedge or adjust the trackbar (they an do that inside the car now though). I'm not sure what all changes can me made in other series.

Since this post, circuit of the americas is the only new track to be announced. I have a feeling we're going to get one more oval other than Daytona (and the beach course) Indy, and Texas. I hope we can get a short track like bristol. That would be awesome and they had the track made for pcars 1 (along with Charlotte and Dover made)

Yea like in F1 where they can adjust wing and stuff but i believe there is way too much you can do from the car yourself rather than pitting in to adjust.

Something "MASSIVE" is coming:rolleyes:

Seeing as this is a Q&A thread I have a couple of quick questions for @IanBell

How is it looking for the intended release date and what particular aspect of the game is causing you (and the team) a real headache at the moment?

I'm wondering if it is possible for the track selection screen to include a date range instead of a single date to show when a particular track layout has been in use.
EG In PCars 1 historic Silverstone could show 1975-1986 instead of just a single date.
This would make a little easier to create a fully authentic historic race without prior Googling beforehand.

yes, the VR audio in-game is spatially-aware. If you turn your head the soundstage will reflect your orientation accordingly. (i.e., turn your head left and you will hear a front engine more in your right ear)

Spatially-aware is good but is not a guarantee of realistic sound. If you try Assetto Corsa for example they have done this but in a very crude way imo. I'm sure pcars 2 has outstanding audio i'm just wondering how far they have pushed it in regards to VR. I think now i'm using VR, sound is probably the second most important thing after the physics so sorry if i'm talking about boring stuff.

Gran Turismo really sucks compared to Pcars, they keep making the same mistakes, they don't seem to listen to what everyone wants. Grand Turismo is dead to me atm.

I just want to hear that ford gt gtlm's v6 snarl and rasp around track hopefully SMS nailer that sound well...am I the only one who likes how that car sounds?

Heard it live on Sunday in anger at Silverstone. Its quite a brittle sound - you definitely know which car is coming from the sound. However of all the cars in the WEC at Silverstone I would have to say the Astons were the nicest sounding for me. The sound from the LMP1s was not much of anything to be honest - LMP2 were much more impressive on that front.

Yeah the ford gt is definitely distinctive. And the lmp2's use v8s if I remember whereas the lmp1s use alot of hybrid stuff.

Would it be possible to show/hide championships and invitational events from the singleplayer calendar if you already won a gold medal from them? I'm now +/- 70% deep into the PCARS1 career content and the number of times I had to click through for example the Glencarn kart events starts to get pretty much insane. :) I much rather spend my time racing than always clicking through past events I'm already "done" with.
