Basic maintenance on an old car is the easiest way into the auto industry. They are much simpler than anything out now.
I agree, but most of the people on the road could care less about cars, see them as merely a tool. And those people don't know how to fix the problems you could run into with a classic, so they see them as unreliable hunks of junk.

True. Well I hope they like junking their car in a few years then. Plastic doesn't last forever...
 
:lol: I do know why people think old cars are unreliable.

I don't have a hard time understanding why people think they are.
I use dad's truck as an example every time. Carbureted small block, sat for well over a year without running, cranked it over with watery gasoline in it without priming it and the choke off and it fired right up within a half crank.
