No no, I'm well aware of the IMSA Fieros, but the one I'm talking about was a brutal street car modified with an LSx engine, Porsche transaxle and R-Compounds that was, I think, precisely in the high 1:30s at Laguna, or pretty damn close to that. For a street car that's cookin'.

Wow, that's really fast, faster than some lower spec full on racecars

Here's what I imagine the owner would say.
"I've got a new car!"
"What is it?"
"It's an E350 3.5L High Output V6 AMG 4Matic!"
"..."
Not the first time I've seen cars with badges that obviously didn't come with the car, but the first time I've seen that many on one car!

If they would fix the front it wouldn't look that bad.

Here's one for you. A relatively stock, 1989 Dodge Minivan that runs 12 second 1/4 miles. Yes it's still front wheel drive.

EDIT:

Stupid looking Supra..

There's two ways to take this image:

1. Hyundai just got better, or
2. Someone just ruined Saleen.

Its a Saleen SR road car IIRC saleen had that frontend for better aero. I perfer the mustang front end but the SR isn't to bad.

I think that looks relatively nice.
Then again, I am a sucker for a huge intake :sly:

I just googles that; and what a surprise :P
I thought it was a Hyundai Coupe that someone had 'tinkered' with.
I mean, the headlights are practically identical to the Hyundais.

^ Or...

3. The 'Ultimate Saleen' of its day.
4. A very, very, very rare Saleen.
5. The coolest Saleen Mustang ever made!

^ I've dealt researching the SR while I was doing the VWL back in the day...

I commented on the car (Saleen SR) whilst I was under the impression it was a Hyundai that had been modified.

Had I known it was actually a Saleem, I wouldn't have even thought of bringing it up :)

I'm still not quite sure how someone can mistake that SR for a Hyundai (any specific model?). What with the Saleen windscreen decal and its somewhat distinctive design.

Either way, it's far from questionable in my book.
