I like that mustang shot. I don't believe i seen an option on xbox for doing that, but then again i didn't look either.

There isn't a option. He used a capture card to take "photos" not a designated photo mode. đź‘Ť

Yo be honest you could do a similar stunt in parts of the UK and expect a hostile respoce LOL
You wouldn't need to do a stunt, just pull up somewhere in Moss Side and stare at everyone who's walking past. You'll either be dead or in the back of an ambulance in no time.

This thread is kind of going off-topic if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, Codemasters released a trailer earlier during the weeks showing what types of racing will be included in the Japan section of GRID.

NĂĽrburgring GP circuit and donington are a couple of my favorite tracks as well. Looks to be a good lineup I can't see the DB9 or the Elise in that list but I'm sure they were on many PR pics and vids?

Looking at those cars, I'm even less interested in GRID. My expectation before the demo were too high I guess.

:guilty:

Well, I just replayed the demo. First time I played it, I was hoping for a sim, so immediately I turned off all driving aids. It was horrible. But playing it with driving aids (except automatic shift), it's awesome. Very fun. Great arcade-esque racer. Like a multiplatform PGR.

The tracks dont seem all that thrilling to me and niether does the car list and I think GT5P has a better selection (and more) cars and will be updated overtime... Its funny that a "demo" surpasses a full blown game.

The only thing I liked about GRID was the online system...

I guess I was hoping for "Race Driver 4" but this is not it!

Is that the whole list, because I thought that including variations there would be 70 tracks (15 tracks making 70 total variations is a long stretch and if that's the case the developers have been highly missleading by throwing the number 70 at peoples faces imo) and also there's less than 50 cars (they've been throwing around the number 50 for thoes too) and I can't see anything on there that matches the Demolition Derby races.

The track-list seems pretty decent with some good tracks in there. The car-list doesn't really matter since all cars will handle the same. ;)

I was hoping for a Race Driver 4 as well, but with GT5 shaping up to be nothing short of breathtaking, it kinda makes sense that Codemasters went with a more arcadey game. And now that I've come to terms with the fact that it's an arcade racer, I'm really digging it. Not quite as good as PGR, but it's the only game that comes close, IMO.

Whats the deal with people comparing this game to GT5? Its not even in the same type of racing game. I think its a decent game, i mean the physics aren't as real as dirt which they aren't suppose to be. Dirt had really good physics, only thing i didn't care for was the way the car behaved when you got the rear end to step out. It was like it would slowly gain traction and straighten back out no matter what you did to try to keep it sideways.

People are comparing it to GT5 because they were hoping GRID would essentially be Race Driver 4.

I don't know about the rest of you, but more and more I'm gravitating towards gameplay over pretty graphics. GRiD has a kick ass gameplay vs GT5p, that's why I'm comparing the two. That video comparing this game to GT5p says it all period...

GT series is created by a car nut => KY.

I don't think there are car nuts in Codemasters's team, I guess. The only thing Codemasters is interested in is making games in a short amount of time, so they can make money. It's all about marketing for Codemasters, IMO.

I haven't played much Ps3 in the past month, and the GRiD demo has been the most played thing, I'm waiting for a DFP I got off of eBay to arrive so I can try this with the wheel, anyone have any suggestions?

From,
Chris.

I don't know... I guess I'm glad codemaster's team aren't car nuts because they sure do know how to program the game to act realistic and capture the essense of driving better than KY. I mean sure they can be car nuts but if you can't translate it to a game it's pretty pointless... :cough: GRiD vs. GT5p video :cough: put on GT5p flame suit đź’ˇ

I tried the demo, without the aids its pretty hard to control the car while drifting, but thats just like in a real car.. You cant mash the gas and expect a perfect drift. haha. :)

The graphics are pretty great, and i look forward to playing it more later after i purchase the game. :)
