Don 't I get an 8th dnf as I started? The cold mic rule could be worth looking into (if I happened to have a working one). The main reason I've had them forced off so far is due to the lag they supposedly create (which would only make sense, seeing as they create data that is transferred through the internet), but if everyone actually follows the rules (and we don't get any 10-year-olds-who-just-found-their-dad's-mic-randomers in the room), it could work out just nicely.
And don't worry about the lag incident race 2 start, it was red flagged due to chaos and (what felt like a long time) later restarted.

Me too....I was so pissed at guys bailing at the last minute I jumped in with a set up in a car that had not turned a wheel. I haven't driven one since last year in GT5. TG for Lightning in a Bottle's tuner Gino. Iliterally trusted him out of the box....worked fine! Me..not so much.I totally negated that... Unless 5min of prepping counts
Naa...not to worry...just looking at the big picture for the team.Technically, you did start race two. But, that race was then red flagged due to the pileup in turn one, and you weren't there for the restart. It's a bit difficult to judge on that one, but besides, you failed to complete 50% of the race, and as of such wouldn't score points anyway. I can list you as 8th if that gives you a good night sleep, but there are no points in this situation
I'm American. /)_-Hey one of you Urepeens can do the Zanardi move in the corkscrew. It will be fine. They used to run real fire breathing can am cars there....
I'm not entirely sure which incident you're referring to?
One thing to add might be what exactly constitutes as corner cutting.I do see your point in the "if it's not in the OP, it's not a rule", and there might be a few more things that needs to be added.
Adam left immediately after that and I was pushed off track. Everyone else was fine. Your taking it three-wide did not cause that wreck whatsoever.I have to say I'm unsure as to how my start was affected by those behind me crashing. At least on the replay of what turned out to be race 2, they seem to be doing just fine?
I'm glad you realize that sometimes you do have to wait behind some cars as they sort things out. There is nothing wrong with taking it three-wide, it just needs to be done without causing much interference for other drivers. Often times when two cars are side-by-side the car behind them might have a better run, it's best to wait for the battling cars to sort the position out. I was just surprised that you did that in turn 1 of lap 1.You do have a valid point in that it's not to be done again. The thing is, though, as I said, I got off to a better start and was able to catch up to the front row, being wheel-by-wheel with you as we enter the braking zone. I do think it was mostly luck and a litle bit of me running wide that nothing major happened in the first part of the corner.
Yes, it's a learning experience. Something I would highly recommend for any fledgling series, would be a mandatory group practice session before the season starts. (and maybe not just one.)Running an online series isn't just about the host doing his job. It's just as much about everyone else being prepared and everything being easily understandable. I claim responsible for the latter half, sure, and I realise that I could've done something to change the outcome of tonight, but what's happened has happened, whether we like it or not. Besides, despite the chaos, all of this just makes us all that much smarter when we get to the next round.
I like the idea of having mics on with the cold mic rule in effect. One thing that could be done to prevent those 10-year-olds from speaking would be to simply limit the room to Friend's Only. The cold mic rule could be worth looking into (if I happened to have a working one). I actually quit out of this race on Lap 2. (Maybe 3.) Adam quit after the incident in turn 1 on lap 1. Either Adam and I are both DNF's in this case or neither of us are. Honestly, I thought that I would be marked as a DNF here.Race 2:

Thanks for the honesty. Isn't this series like 3 AM in Australia?Sorry guys, I slept in way late
Race 2, Lap 1, Turn 1. Adam turned way too much to the right and pushed me off track causing front right, rear left, and engine damage to my car forcing me to pit at the end of Lap 1. I immediately asked if that should be a Caution, to which I received no reply.

Lag Bubble/Lag SurgeJust want to point out, on my screen we had the world's lightest contact. How on earth did you get that much damage?!?
I just braked early, didn't see any cars, turned in and met the side of your car for what, on my end, was a brush. Sorry if it had a worse effect on you though. As you say, I left after because I had a feeling my driving was going to be way too sloppy anyway.
Come on teammate or should I say - pleaseLet's race today and see how many drivers we have. I just wanna test this car with these specs - at least one race.
Nice to see this all worked out ok for you in the end rally 👍
Wish I had attended now, will probably show up to future races if I have the time
Safety car saved my butt on the second race, got back on pace, passed Ciro laggily apparently, and carried on

Ah but you drive like ...as the great bubba AJ Foyt would say....one of them fellas with pointy shoes. I do believe that is a compliment. Nice job. 👍I'm American. /)_-
This has nothing to do with nationality. nascarfan is kinda a prodigy in the making. Driverman (a.k.a. Ciro) and Morten are the same, but they are European (and further along the process). And, I'm no slouch, and I'm Canadian... Though you haven't had the pleasure of racing with me. Yet. And I'm still learning, too. Racing with us will undoubtedly make you faster. SNAIL and WRS, too.Ah but you drive like ...as the great bubba AJ Foyt would say....one of them fellas with pointy shoes. I do believe that is a compliment. Nice job. 👍
I wasn't that was a joke. I'm steady and rarely fall off.. The parabolica nonwithstanding...and slowly getting faster. Definitely a new boy. This has nothing to do with nationality. nascarfan is kinda a prodigy in the making. Driverman (a.k.a. Don't associate nationality with speed. Two of the fastest drivers I've raced are actually from Africa; @Mamaghi from Morocco and @NizmoDr3 from Johannesburg.

No. You're still the protege of the prodigy. So ya don't include me!?
I can live with that.No. You're still the protege of the prodigy.
