Relive the Golden Era of F1!
It’s time for 60s F1 on GTPlanet! This era will always be remembered for the danger and bravery. Poor safety, unsafe track designs and crazy cars are all unwanted things in general, but it is any man’s dream to drive these cars. So on this special occasion, we’ll have the possibility to feel like the heroes of F1.

Teams
In this series you’ll have a choice of 8 teams, each having two drivers with one extra allowed as reserve. Each team will have their distinct color and as identification. Also, with the recent update, every car will have a racing number using one of the round backgrounds with the old number fonts. Keep in mind that any two team-mates’ numbers need to be related in some way.
The teams available are:
Scuderia Ferrari – Rosso Corsa
Team Lotus – British Racing Green
Honda Racing – Championship White
Bruce McLaren Motor Racing – McLaren Orange
Brabham Racing Organisation – Any black
Matra Sports – French Blue
All (Anglo) American Racers – Any dark blue
Porsche System Engineering - Silver
Now there's also privateer teams available, but they have less priority than factory teams, meaning, if a lobby is full and a factory driver can't join, the privateer driver will have to leave the lobby to make space.
Team choice won’t affect car performance, unlike in real life.
Season
The season will consist of both championship and non-championship races. In order to be on the championship standings and fight for the championship victory champagne, you’ll need to register, by filling this form:

However, anyone, even if not registered, who has read the rules and has an LCC Rocket available can enter the non-championship races. Those not registered will take a place of any team of their liking. Before each non-championship race, a list in this thread will be posted where each participant will write in his name to confirm his place.
The season calendar consists of 10 championship races scattered throughout the world. Besides championship races, there are also no championship ones which aren’t raced for championship points. Countries with no represented track in GT6 will host their GP on an alternative track. All tracks with available weather change will make use of it.

Race procedure and penalties
Each raceday will consist of both qualifying and the race. Qualifying will run in a very simple way: once the room is open, anyone who has joined goes on track whenever they want and start their hotlaps. Once satisfied with their time, they remain on track, waiting for race start. After a determined time period, the race will commence. The 1st lap will be the parade lap, after it, drivers take their places on the grid. At a defined moment, everyone goes for it!
Accidents happen and will happen and safety was poor in these days. In case of a crash, the driver in question must type “c” in chat box which will act as the yellow flag. That means that all drivers must be more cautious, it’s advised that they lower speeds as well. SC will not be present though as it also wasn’t back then.
Bad race conduct can be punished by place-loss penalties or disqualifications. But you’ll also lose the respect of fellow drivers; remember, F1 was a gentleman sport back then.
Penalties can be applied for missing a race without warning, that will usually result in a points penalty.
Raceday plan:
Room Opens (2:00 GMT)
Practice (2:00 GMT - 2:30 GMT)
Qualifying (2:30 GMT - 2:45 GMT)
Pre-Race Break (2:45 GMT - 2:55 GMT)
1 parade lap (2:55 GMT)
Take positions on grid (3:00 GMT)
At defined time race goes green (3:00 GMT - 3:03 GMT)
Finish, victory lane ~ (4:15 GMT - 4:30 GMT)
Sign-ups are still open, Suggestions are still welcome!
