I honestly think the Ford may need -5 hp possibly. The straight line speeds look like the Honda is the fastest (like last season) and the Ford may be a little quick (like last season)

We started with Motegi East - the cars were pretty much dead even. Then Brands Hatch Indy - pretty much even (Honda was fastest).
Then Autumn Ring Mini Reverse - cars were suddenly not even - Honda was .8 faster than every other car - and the rest were even.

But, Apricot Hill... Woops.

And, now, at Silverstone National, with the 15 hp reduction I'm testing on Ford, Ford is now .6 slower than Citroën at Silverstone National.

For me Ford/Honda/Mini are even on Ascari and those 3 are the fastest atm for me (tested them plus Eclipse and Tuscani).
Will test them at Apricot later I just love Ascari and due to that Trackknowledge me can compare them cars better as on Apricot where I sometimes struggle to get the first sector correctly.

You're not cutting 15 off the Ford. No one will race it then

Ford got superb turn-in and general handling and by now it definately needs lower power, more weight or both.
Honda needs debuff too. You build it, put on a standard tune in terms of suspension and LSD and bam you have a good time (minor tweaks and your set).
Mini is a other thing for her to be fast you got to know the Tranny :D But topspeed is still not the best attribute for the Mini.

Will test teh remaining cars too but to make the Eclipse or Tuscan as fast as them 3 it would take too much power for them atm.

It's getting tough decision for me! Mini and Ford corners very well but I just can pick up just one :( If I could change car during the championship....

If Jammy returns, he's the oldest ITCC race winner/champion. Age doesn't matter here, buck. You're only in your 20s anyways - like me, Caine, Siggers and (I think) Sakery...

That said, Gedi should totally come back. I've gotten my connections fixed! :)

Sakery, you didn't find that Hyundai was too fast? :odd: Hyundai is almost on par with Honda at 275 hp  and 1220 kg.

Connor, many people are still interested in Ford regardless of power. It's a good car.

Honda update: Honda is considering its options, with four drivers trying to get into two slots: Harsk, Siggers, dano and Ettick all want to drive Honda. There are only two Honda slots available. The fastest two Honda drivers will get the slots. For now, all four may drive the Honda in ITCC 4 run-offs. However, with that said, the more variety of cars we see on-track, the better the specs will be for all. Run-offs will hopefully be an excellent opportunity to perfect the specs for all cars.

If I choose for Honda, then I'll regret later by not choosing the Mini or Ford.... In previous season, I made the right choice on putting my self on Focus which was made to win races and help Caine and Dano to win the Manufacturer's title.

Yes. Everyone* should be glad that they chose the car that they chose.

*and not be shafted by not picking the car they thought would be fastest and was slowest.

Edit:

In my 30s :ouch: :grumpy:

Happy belated birthday! You told me you were 29 last time... ;)

But I'll test them on rounds of ITCC-5 to know what car is the best. The car which has most points of my testing, wins!

My points will be:
1st- 25
2nd- 18
3rd- 15
4th- 12
5th- 10
6th- 8
7th- 6
8th- 4
9th- 2
10th- 1*

All cars finished above 10, will be obtain 1 point.

On the rounds of ITCC 5? So, you mean, whichever car is fastest across the most tracks? ...whichever car earns the most points for you according to that?

The car which is quicker, is the winner. And there will be 1st overall (CHAMPION) and 2nd overall (RUNNER-UP). But 2nd overall car will be the my back-up vehicle (If I can change during the championship, of course). Yes, it's on the rounds of ITCC-5! The car which has the most points as possible, wins! Will we be able to change car during the championship?

Mel, I'm going to sound harsh saying this, but you don't want to nerf the Ford so it's .6 slower than the Citroen, you want to nerf it so it's .0 slower than the Citroen. That's the whole point of speccing.

So, this season is bringing a new points system.

Races are the only way to score points. Each race is 25 points to the winner.

1. 25
2. 18
3. 15
4. 12
5. 10
6. 8
7. 6
8. 4
9. 2
10. 1

Four races per weekend, there's 100 points available each weekend.

Now, though, the racing through the entire field will be for the first ten spots. If you can get top-10, you get points. Otherwise, nope. Sorry.

And not .6 faster than Citroën? Like it currently is? Oh no...

I'm doing my best to make things actually even. Feel free to join testing, if you want.

I drove the Ford at AR mini tonight in my own private session. I had a very basic tune, but I was just about able to keep up with my Honda times from earlier. I was thinking the Ford was probably better, right up to the moment when it spun :ouch:....so now I have decided that it's worse than the Honda:cool:

Anyway I brought all the cars and had a quick drive. Pretty impressed with your work Mel the majority seem to be quite well balanced. My only concern is that those which have the High Rpm turbo will dominate on the faster tracks.

I don't think I will bother going for the Focus because I don't want to turn myself into one of those track day yobo fan-boys, but the other car I am really interest in is the Clio, so next time you have a test session I will bring that:tup:
