How are we all fixed for Gr.X/VGT cars? I've got an idea for this week that suits some of the less nuts ones (and possibly de-tuned versions of some of the nuts ones, although the tuning for them is also nuts).
I have... some of them.

Suspect I may just miss out on this week's one again though. Return from a flight at five-something that evening and may eventually walk through my door at 8pm if there's no traffic, but that being the case I may not be race-ready.

What’s the planned recipe?

Sorry about Tuesday. Was Citybuilding. Didn't see notifications because I think I've turned them off (d'oh)

Sorry for some reason I missed your message. Just caught it today.

The wheel has been quite generous with handing out VGTs. Just had a look now and if you needed to know for your plans...
Daihatsu
Mini
Alpine (race)
Chaparral
McLaren
Subaru
Hyundai
Peugeot L500R
Nissan
Dodge SRT X
And I've got enough credits to buy half of a new one. Although I could probably sell a few cars to make up the deficit if needed.

Tits, I got waylaid yesterday writing about the Gran Turismo rap.

There's a gaggle of VGTs at around 400-500hp/ton. I reckon we should just race them as-is, and if you win in one you can't use it again. I've got the list as:
Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo
Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo
BMW Vision Gran Turismo
Subaru VIZIV GT Vision Gran Turismo
Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series
Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo
Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo
Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV Vision Gran Turismo
MINI Clubman Vision Gran Turismo

(from highest PWR to lowest)

Did the racing go ahead last night?
Yes. It was a bit weird in places - the Supersport was well overpowered and the MINI well underpowered, the BMW and Honda were awful in bends, the Mitsubishi was awful on straights and the Subaru's wastegate chatter is as hilarious as its brakes are bad (as @Sparkz_360's back bumper would attest). Relatively close though, I think.

I'm ruminating on next week, and always happy to concede and evening to other ideas. We've always got a Kerfuffle as backup, though @homeforsummer would need to buy at least the middle and slower cars.

Well unless I'm called in to work in London on the Tuesday (we'll be on press so it's all hands on deck) I should be able to do next week.

Happy to roll with a kerfuffle, but the earlier I know the car list the better for that so I can prepare in time (and give them all a suitable meme paintjob).

I don't know whether more conventional mini-series are a thing, but I'd also support one-make racing of some kind or other. I'm assuming we mainly steer clear due to differing levels of ability and it gets boring when the running order is the same each time, but I don't know whether GT S's BOP system is good enough to adjust for that - BTCC weight penalties depending on position, that kinda thing.

@Zolon32 would run a handicap on the fly, and my Kerfuffle has been keeping track of people's average pace with respect to each other, so if I were to do something like that (and it's on the list), I'd use that to slow down/speed up the relevant driv... Sparks.

Kerfuffle list was here, although it doesn't take into account any of this year's added cars and I think it's a couple of fives of cars too many

I haven't had time to think of anything for this week yet, but I can cobble something together in short order.

In the meantime, how are we all fixed for the VFE cars (and E-Types and Minis)? With Goodwood Circuit coming this Thursday, I'd like to stage a couple of Revival-esque photoshoots. That'd mean having everyone in some of the following cars:

Kinrara Trophy
Chevrolet Corvette '63 (100,000cr)
Jaguar E-Type '61 (170,000cr)
Ford GT40 Mark I (280,000cr)
Shelby Cobra 427 '66 (2,000,000cr)
Shelby Cobra Daytona '64 (15,000,000cr)
Ferrari 250 GTO '62 (20,000,000cr)

Other randomness
Mini Cooper S '65 (50,000cr)
Aston Martin DB3S '53 (10,000,000cr)
Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 Carrozzata da Zagato '65 (10,000,000cr)
Jaguar XJ13 '66 (20,000,000cr)

And anything else I've forgotten about. Not the Miura.

It's looking like I will be around for any racing tomorrow. I just need to buy a few more cars if it's a Kerfuffle.

Thursday I may not be around, but I can only afford a couple of those cars anyway

I think @Famine means those vintage cars for tomorrow night.

I think I have all of them.

I assumed it* meant waiting for Goodwood to become available before doing something?

Either way, I have the Mini and GT40 already and can afford the Corvette/E-type/Cobra 427, but the others are out of budget.

* I'm not referring to @Famine as "it" by the way, which is what it sounded like when I read that back to myself  I was talking more generally that we'd have to wait for Goodwood...

I'm used to "it" :D

Yes, the vintage stuff for post-Thursday-update, so Thursday evening or any time after really. I just want to get a gaggle of Revival cars on the Goodwood Circuit and photograph them. There'll probably be Scapes from Goodwood too, but I like races :D

How did you get a writing job? :P

When you start off your online life as a fat, hockey playing, lesbian, it does get a bit confusing.

I'm really glad I didn't just waste three hours painting all of these ready for a Kerfuffle then...

I have none of the expensive classics, except the 427 Cobra.
You only need one for posing :D

I actually can't remember which ones I have - I think, ironically, I have the useless Miura, but I've definitely used the Cobra Daytona. I recall we've all previously used the E-Type, because I painted mine to look like a willy.

If we can get six or seven of us just for half an hour's pootle at Goodwood, and maybe a posed shot, that'd be great.

Apropos of mucking about, have you got a Mach Forty, @homeforsummer?

Kerfuffle Revival
I'm afraid I won't be the most glamorous model at any photoshoot. The Cobra 427, Mini and the E-Type are I believe the only ones in my wardrobe. Might be able to run to the Corvette and possibly the GT40 but not much more.

And if I remember correctly I do still have most of the cars on the kerfuffle list. I never bothered buying the slow group of cars because...
(I can pop and buy them as required if I suddenly find considerably more pace!)

Oh and Mach 40. Tick.

How are you going to break it to @homeforsummer that metallicy greenish isn't allowed? :P

Wait... someone else isn't running that colour, are they? I couldn't remember from the last event I was able to attend, and just went for something nearby in the paint chips that was a bit brighter than last time...

To be honest, the colour's the easy bit. It's placing the decals that adds to the time. Happy to change the colour if someone else is running it!

Phew...

Edit: On a serious note, what colour cars are people running in this? The longer I look at my TVR turquoise the less I like it. Considering a bronze or maybe a darker green or blue...

I mostly use my usual dark blue.

I mostly use my usual dark blue.
Ah yes. I know @Famine goes for perpl and last time @Sparkz_360 went for hot pink, but I can't remember whether anyone has a consistent other shade. I'm avoiding the obvious ones like white/black/scarlet/yellow/Brit racing green etc so I'm mostly looking at flip paints, chromes, ultra-sparkly stuff since these are just basic liveries.

Quick Kerfuffle results recap:

1. @daan - 34pt
2. @homeforsummer - 33pt (1 win, 2 2nds)
3. @Zolon32 - 33pt (1 win, 0 2nds)
4. Famine - 33pt (0 wins)
5. @buybon355 - 26pt
6. @Sutsagrd - 25pt (1 win)
7. @Venari - 25pt (0 wins, 1 2nd, 2 3rds)
8. @IfAndOr - 25pt (0 wins, 1 2nd, 0 3rds)

Next cars would have seen daan in the Raptor, Zolon in the C3, me and HFS in the GRMNMNMNMNMN, BB and Venari in the Supra RZ, Suts in the FD RX-7 and If in the Smegane.

I think I'll have a look at a smaller, ten-car version - a Minifuff - to go with the proper LAN version, as we do tend to hover around the same few cars. No-one was faster than car 13, and no-one was slower than car 20 (and that was only once).
