Lot's of fun at Busybusybusy, well done Zo -- eh -- S.I.T.! :D:tup: Great flowing track with lot's of hidden apexes! The Cerbera was my favorite, has just the right amount of beingquiteahandfulness to make it exciting!

Thanks to those who turned up last night fellas, I really enjoyed the scrap with Aaroh in the first race, good to have you back fella.

Thanks Tarn, glad you liked it. The NSX is my favourite there, but I have to admit it sounds soooo tinny after using the TVR.

Cheers, Zo.

Zo

I had more fun than I expected. The track was much more fun racing with you guys than it was when I was just practising on my own. I loved the NSX. Made me feel like a drift king...well for 5 secs anyway until I did a twirl.
See u in trinity

Hi people. Back to usual Tuesday racing for a couple of weeks before Racers Reunited 'Target 84' kicks off.

Next week (16th) we'll be recreating, in our own fashion, the recent and very popular Seasonal TT around Apricot Hill, using the sublime Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car, stock, on S/H tyres.

We'll have 3 races, of 13 laps each, with normal, fast and very fast depletion.

Kick off 20:30GMT.

Cheers, Zo.

Had a wee shot of this earlier, gentle on the throttle! Likes to swap ends of you're a bit eager. Throw tyre wear into the mix and you've got a real test of skill

So the racers will reunite once more. Cool.

If you happen to read this post within the next couple of hours @tarnheld is hosting the Makeshift Shuffle tonight at 19:30GMT.
I just have to join in on that and have already made an excuse to stay home this evening. : )

Was watching some youtube clips of Australian mini versus mustang racing, which was excellent, really close.

So I did some testing to get close lap times. 1998 mini at 435pp on sport soft versus 1965 GT350 at 470pp on sport hard produced pretty much the same times at autumn ring.

We've all seem that before though, retro mini versus classic mustang, so what do the new ones do?

2011 Cooper S at 450 pp on sports soft versus 2013 mustang boss 302 at 565pp on sports hard matched each other round brands indy 80s. And they're a blast to drive.

Any interest in putting this together in the future? Start according to zolons patented randomiser, then swap cars for race 2.

Thoughts?

@reefer @tooma don't know if you follow this thread but would be great to see you join the group

The Shufflers, it looks like fun and I'd have go @tarnheld but there's so many cars and I've haven't got many of them. I'm not a big collector. (I miss the shuffle from GT5)

In fact @Zolon32 are you planing on using any of the quinity coupés again? I'll have a garage clear out otherwise.

Thoughts?
Those new models sound like an interesting combination.

Anyone tried the LCC Rocket un-tuned on CH/M tyres? That's quite a blast.

Thanks mate. Always something interesting seems to be happening here:tup:

The Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car with tyre wear on!! races look like a challenge. I've just had a play at the AH seasonal - good fun. Didn't see @IfAndOr's name popping up? @Sutsagrd, every time I went over the Start/Finish you horsed passed me! How can one man carry THAT much speed over the line? What's your secret Suts?

Yes, great fun Paul, not much grip but it just feels right.

Hi Joe. No I haven't done that one yet. I've been bouncing off 50mil so I've not needed the credits - but there is the challenge. ;)

I've got quite a good time in the NASCAR event though.

I'm always scraping the bottom of the barrel and need the credits. See if you can get into the 1:19s at AH cos I couldn't.

What time did you get in the Nascar event? Might need to give that a go..

Of the 21 from my friends list that have tried it, you are at the top! So I doubt I'll beat you. I did make the top on the NASCAR though - at the moment!

These Seasonals are the most frustrating thing I've ever done. (Just started doing them a couple of days ago.) Funnily enough, your ghost doesn't come up in the Nascar one at Willow Springs Paul, but if I make a mistake, Colin flies by me:banghead:

Anyway, Zolon's series looks cool, but it's a bit early for me

What it does is the first time you try an event it'll load the ghosts with the slightly slower times for you to chase. If you get a good time or beat them all, exit the event fully and then reenter and it'll load the faster ghosts for to have a go at. I luckily had a good time at this (I like big Willow) so I should appear on the second go.
I suppose it would get even more crowded on screen if it showed everyone at once.

I quite like the TT's since the ghosts add an incentive to go just that little bit faster. :)

Can never get the last corner right at big willow, but really like the track. Like it better when those pesky blue lines aren't passing me !

My thoughts are YEAH!!! LET'S GET IT RUNNING!!! But Tuesday after next I'm away, so please don't do it then :)

I can't believe this, I haven't heard mention of the Rocket in ages, and I've chosen it as the opening car in the 'Target 84' series. I've tested it stock and on C/S tyres, since all the cars in the series will be run on them. There's mighty grip, but it feels natural and kind of suits the character of the car, I thought.

The track we'll be running at is one where the ridiculously short standard gearing isn't a problem.

Likes to swap ends of you're a bit eager.

You guys need to take my example and drive a bit slower, enjoy the scenery. She's a pussycat if you're gentle with her. Just relax, it's not a race you know.............. hang on a minute...............

Cheers, Zo.

I've been giving this a run out because @Sick Cylinder is going to use it in his next series. And it is a fun little thing. I've actually made a track based on it stock - see Rocket Raceway in my signature. It trys to avoid the gearing problem whilst still being quick. Give it a try.

Yes, initial entrance is hard, so many cars to buy and change to magic oil. Maybe we have to reintroduce a series where only one or two lists are used over a longer period... 💡 It's a shame GT6 dropped shuffle racing without installing something similar, it would be great if the host could select a few cars of his own collection for others to use in online racing, one for each racer. PD, can you hear me?

NOOOooo... just 11 more and you have the Performance Coupés list ready! :dopey::sly:

Yes, it's a fun car! But you have to be careful when selecting tracks for the un-tuned Rocket because it hits the limiter on longer straights, so Monza is a No No.

See you next Tuesday, looking forward to Apricot Hill! :)👍

@Sutsagrd, every time I went over the Start/Finish you horsed passed me!
I'm using a Cadillac cien '02 which is immensely fast in the AH straight but can't go around corners.
I try not to use the fastest car going as all I aim for is to get gold. Hence why everyone passes me after the first corner!!

However given the racers are racing here with the NSX of ye long name then I might have to see if I can go faster??;)

NSX of ye long name
That's why it is wider than the standard model so they can fit it all in. ;)

PD, can you hear me?
You'll have to shout louder than that Tarn!

Perhaps I'll keep them to now then.
It's also a shame that the "garage" isn't more sortable. For instance I'd create a tab call it shuffle and put the coupés in there away from all my others but ready for quick access later. It would keep everything tidy and I'd probably keep a lot more cars. Easy if PD thought about it. Do some more shouting.

Tried the boss mustang and new mini combo at some other tracks to see how they do. Works at trial mountain, and suzuka east so far. Mini actually laps a bit quicker but once there's cars on track they won't be able to take the line of choice.

Reckon as long as we avoid tracks with big straights it should be ok. I'll have a crack at some more later but if anyone had the time to try, I'd like a second opinion on the pp for each car. Seems like it could work to me though.

closest yet at deep forest

Fine by me Zo. 👍

Cheers Paul.

Oooooh! It's quite interesting for tonight chaps. I've just done a couple of runs on very fast deg, one with a pit stop and one without. My total times were one second apart. Decisions, decisions.

Cheers, Zo.
