Greetings Gentlemen. Thanks for fielding the enquiry for me Paul, looking forward to meeting up with the RR group tonight. The BM is a delight to drive and very user friendly, but Dingley Dell is one of those tracks that looks deceptively easy, but isn't. I hope you guys can come to terms with it a bit quicker than I have.

Paul's right, we'll be kicking off at 19:30GMT, (20:30BST) since the clocks have now gone forward an hour on our misty island.

Cheers, Zo.

Very nice event and a brilliant track made of Paul "IfAndOr"
It was fun races but some problem with lag in the 2nd race where I had two accidents ...
The BMW M3 GTR was a great choise for this track. See you all next week 👍

Thanks for letting me join yesterdays races, it was great fun!

I have to say that all of you are racing on a pretty high and consistent level. It was quite hard for me to keep up with you guys, especially since I haven't been racing online for months. Furthermore I guess it's more difficult to master appropriate throttle and steering control with the DS3 in comparison to a wheel (which most of you seem to use). But I managed to improve steadily and had some intense battles and chases with @tarnheld and @IfAndOr. At race 3 it was an exciting battle for the podium with these two guys plus @Zolon32. Great thrill.

The track is really good though I needed some adaptation time. It's definately hard to master and it took up to race 3 till I was able to drive consistent 1.53 - 1.54 lap times on a good line. Since all my custom tracks are built at the Eifel theme I rarely race at Andalusia. My personal impression is that it's harder to concentrate on the routing at that theme with all the side objects and most important that center mark really annoys me.

Nevertheless the M3 GTR was a great drive at this fast and fluent track - great combination. 👍

Reminded me of the Z8.
Now you mention it, yes it did. The engine sound is also very similar (if not the same).

problem with lag in the 2nd race w
Yes me too. We both were involved in an "incident" on the pit straight. Race 1 was good, I just about managed to keep up with you. :)

It was quite hard for me to keep up with you guys
You soon got the hang of it. Great battle on race 2, I couldn't get by. 👍

Glad you liked the track, it and the GTR seemed to work well together. It was the first one I created and until raced upon you don't really know if they work well. Quite a good flow when you've got the lines correct.

Anyway great clean and close racing again chaps.

Hi fellas, thanks to all those who turned up for Target 84 again, and congratulations to Goofy on his two wins.

More congratulations to Rob, who gets the Nobel Prize for Persistence. This carries with it the option of a two tyre upgrade. Therefore, if he'd like to, Rob can use S/M tyres for the next meeting.........

Speaking of which, it's the glorious GSX-R at that ridiculously named track, Judy. All those who know how much I love Bongo's Tricky Hillclimb will know what lunacy to expect there. It's the only circuit where I've managed to roll a car whilst staying within the confines of the track, ace!

Thankfully, the GSX-R is right up for it, and I expect plenty of fun on the night.

Results and standings will be updated in a minute. (Done :))

Cheers, Zo.

Those cars move about so beautifully, I just want to race them for ever! Why doesn't everyone of GT race comfort tyres all the time? I just don't get it.

Cheers, Zo.

Another great video @JockeP22, as Zo says you can see the cars moving gracefully around. It also shows off the elevation change which aren't so apparent when driving.

You had a lot of lag though, you missed 8 laps. :P
(Actually very good editing, I didn't spot the join.)

:D You and your comforts.

Thanks to you and Jocke I've come to really like the feel of comfort tyres, especially on cars at one time I wouldn't have considered trying them on. It's actually helped improve my car control. 👍

However I do like a bit of extra grip here and there. Particularly the game's race cars which I prefer mainly on sport's mediums.

I hardly use race tyres anymore where as once they were my tyre of choice!

A preview for those that hasn't been there yet. Clicking Play should take you to 'Judy'.

Continual tyre squeal! My idea of heaven :)

Can you spot the point where a roll is definitely on the cards? (About 12:45)

Cheers, Zo.

3: Suts (2.67) 90%

I'm surprised I'm still 3rd since I've missed 2 days worth of races, and should have been placed as last in the races I didn't attend. This would give me an overall position of 6th (5.75) I think? See if your maths gives a similar answer or have I got this completely wrong?:dunce:

Hope to be there tomorrow with whatever handicap you feel is correct.:)

Hi Suts, you were too quick in the Rockets!

The reason I've left everyone's average at a level which reflects only the races they've taken part in is because otherwise, if some super-fast guy missed a meeting and was given last place for each race not attended, his handicap would reduce accordingly. He might come back and have 100% when people he'd previously beaten were on 87%. (Owing to the specifics of the English language it is awkward to complete a sentence as above without being gender specific. To all you girls out there, I'm really sorry :))

To be honest, the handicap will probably have only minimal effect with the GSX-R. It's a really peaky engine, so actually accessing the extra 8 or 15% or whatever that an un-handicapped person (That's how you do it!) would have won't be easy.

See you tonight fellas, I really hope you enjoy Judy as much as I do, cheers, Zo.

Good fun on a very tricky track but good racing all. It was very easy to make a mistake when you entered these blind curves and it was a steep downhill afterwards :scared: :odd:
I was unlucky to be dc´d in the first race. See you all next week 👍

I was unlucky to be dc´d in the first race

Very unlucky Hakan, you were going like a train.

With hindsight I think I should have used a more stable car at Judy, tricky track and hormonal motor on comfort tyres can lead to problems.

Thought I'd make a little video of Suts getting some reward for his persistence........ and quick driving of course :)

Cheers, Zo.

Sut's going for it at Judy! Don't tell the wife.

That was funny at the end, me and Tarn are part of the synchronised grass cutting team and thought we'd put on a display. :)

It wasn't to bad a combination Zo, I'd got the hang of it by race 3. ;)
In race 2 I switched to bumper cam so that's why I was all over the place. I prefer "bonnet" cam - I just wish it had a mirror.

Thought I'd make a little video of Suts getting some reward for his persistence.

This is very kind of you but I wasn't really that fast. I think for once in my life I didn't make that many mistakes. :D
Tarn and Paul kept pulling away from me every time I got near so never expected them to take each other off at the final corner. I was also trying my best not to follow them into the long grass!

Sut's going for it at Judy!
Yep. But I think it was more Judy going for it on Suts!!:nervous:;)

I wasn't really that fast.

You got fastest lap of the race Suts!

Moving on to Figaro Opera fellas, she looks simple. However, while she won't set fire to your vintage guitar collection and change the locks, like Judy will, she'll definitely make you sleep in the spare room. I can heartily recommend some practice before Tuesday, if you have the time.

There'll be plenty of flying acrobatics too, yippee!

Cheers Zo.

:sly:
I forgot to save the replay and never noticed the fast lap again!!

Judy was hard but the GSX is so low there was no way you'd get it rolling over and my confidence grew the more we raced.

Judy would definitely be fun and more of a challenge in a bigger heavier car like a GTR. Or a saloon or wagon. I'm sure in the chicane one of those would end up on the roof!!

I'm pleased you find my weird track good enough to race on but also a bit embarrassed as I forgot I have a really important work meeting that evening. :embarrassed::dunce: So I have a bad feeling I might miss the races. Please feel free to use another track if you'd rather.
I'll obviously try my best to get back in time.

I might miss the races.

SUTS!!!!!! No wonder Bernie looks so old, if he has to deal with problems of this magnitude every day. No matter, I've got an alternative plan. I've had a run around Turnaround with the 430, and it works fine. So, we'll do Turnaround on Tuesday, and fit Figaro and Rob's track (so Rob, forgotten the name for the moment) in over following Tuesdays.

This 'Target 84' might last all year at this rate 👍

Cheers, Zo.
