Great, turns out I have no driving lesson tonight although I am currently working on a WEC preview right now so I might have to give tonight a miss as I can't see this preview being done in the next 2 hours. Having said that, I only have Manor WEC and the whole LMP1 class to do so who knows!
Turns out the driving lesson is next Tuesday when I think we are racing around Figaro so all being well, I should be back in time for Lime Rock Mountain.

The reason I've left everyone's average at a level which reflects only the races they've taken part in is because otherwise, if someone who is super-fast missed a meeting and was given last place for each race not attended, the handicap would reduce accordingly. The alien might come back and have 100% when people who were previously beaten by her were on 87%. (Owing to the specifics of the English language it is awkward to complete a sentence as above without being gender specific. To all you guys out there, I'm really sorry :))

Fixed that for you ;) English is magic! 👍

Argh, can't make it tonight! :irked: When will i ever get to experience the mystique and glamour they call turnaround race? :drool:Have fun!

Zo
Sorry I couldn't make it at turnaround and the F430. Hope you guys has fun.

Also just came home to discover I'd left the ps3 and gran turismo running since lunchtime. :dunce:Amazingly my ps3 hasn't self combusted.
Sorry if it looked like I was online but not joining tonight and hope you didn't delay anything for me!

I should be there next week but you don't have to run figaro just for my benefit.

We were only 3 drivers in the lobby when the race should have started Zo, Colin and I. We did a 5 laps fun race and it was a great fight with Zo where he came out 1st. After that Zo opened a public room and we had some fantastic races at Trial Mountain with the F430. Jocke was joining when we were in that room. We also met a very fast and clean driver from Ukraine "Bolik-GT". Great driving from all

I thought I arrived just in time.
Was it not scheduled for 9pm U.K.?

Yes that was some nice races at the Mountain and later at Dristelen. I'll see if I can capture the replays and post them here later.

Fixed that for you ;)

Thanks Tarn, it took me about a day to spot the change!

Don't worry about missing last night, we postponed Target 84 and did a bit of open room stuff as Hakan said. It was belting racing, mind, so you did miss out a bit.

Was it not scheduled for 9pm U.K.?

Sorry Jocke, we've been starting at 8:30pm throughout, but I can't see anywhere on the thread that I've mentioned it :boggled:. I'll put a note in the first post.

Ferrari have been in touch, by the way. They want that car back if you're going to 'abuse' it with such a paint scheme, apparently.

I should be there next week but you don't have to run figaro just for my benefit.

It's not just for your benefit Suts, I recon we'll all love it, it's a good one 👍

Cheers, Zo.

I usually do things at the last moment and true to form I bought the Ferrari 430 last night and gave it a blast around Figaro. A very enjoyable combination. 👍

Sorry for missing out on the action last week but now looking forward to this evening.

There's also a 430 scuderia model. Now I liked the standard model so I should love that. I'm off to the dealer's again. :)

I've been working on a track for the last 3 days and it seems to suit the 430 quite well. While you've got the Ferrari to hand give it a go (if you want :)) and let me know what you think.

Circuit Sans Nom

I'll go along with the above, what's not to like about Figaro's Flying Ferraris.

The last haipin bend got me on the first two races and I was playing catch up after that but by the third race I'd managed to tame the car and track enough to keep the fight going throughout.

An exciting track Suts. 👍
We should have had this Nissan though, look it's made for it.
figaro-12.jpg

Probably wouldn't have flown though.

I tried your new track Paul and it is very good. Maybe we can use the Scuderia there Zo
Thanks Hakan. Yes the Scuderia would work, it is a track for fast cars.

Fantastic races yesterday

Thanks for coming Tarn, I really enjoyed it too.
Maybe we can use the Scuderia there Zo :sly:

That sounds like a good plan. I was thinking of doing Rob's track next week, with something completely different, The Honda Civic Type R from 2007. I think we'll get very close racing out of that, and we could do the nameless track with Scuds the following week 👍

Eat your heart out Murray Walker. My only comment is, I can only get better!

Cheers, Zo.

Thanks Zo for the video, it is very good and your comments makes it even more thrilling. I have to say that I was sweating after that race with IfAndOr and you so close. Very good racing guys

Great commentary @Zolon32 👍 :P

Loving the corner names. I bet Suts didn't even know they were called that and especially that his neighbours feline was a feature of the track.

Can't wait for your description around Sans Nom. Should have nameless corners. :D

An exciting track Suts. 👍
Thanks Paul. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. :) I'm surprised at how hard the track was having not raced on it since I first created it.

Perhaps Zo's commentary and unique corner names resulted in the track becoming harder :D as we went along?

his neighbours feline
Unfortunately that same said feline is as naughty as that string of corners as she comes into our garden and runs amock!!!

@Zolon32 - excellent job. I was laughing out loud but couldn't tell my wife why!!:lol: I'll try to get those names onto the Track guide!💡

I've downloaded Paul's track but yet to try it out. 👍 Looking forward to next week.

A suggestion - Instead of "another" Ferrari (the Scud) why not try one of their rivals machinery. A Lamborghini.

I've given a couple of them a spin around the nameless track.
Lamborghini Gallado LP560-4. 4WD slippy slidey beast with a nice feel to it.

Lamborghini Diabolo GT2 '98. Great fun and surprisingly controllable on CS. It's a race car that comes as standard on SH's so it's only one step down. Sounds good too. It's even got Rocket launchers on the roof!

Or even something totally different, the
SRT (Dodge) Viper GTS '13 - I thought it was going to a lairy American motor but I was surprised. It's actually very good. Just the right amount of grip. Well worth a try. And it has a glowing tachometer.

I think you'd like all three Zo. And perhaps Tarnheld for the Zero Cup.

Note - I've slightly updated the track, kerb placement mainly, so you won't see much change but if you want to grab it once more... (I'm not touching it again)

If I may suggest my own track "Viking Motor Park-SWE-Enköping"
It´s a track that they are probably going to start building soon only 3km from where I live :D
It should be good for a fast car. I´ve just created it and haven´t had the time to test yet

See you all tomorrow 👍

Sounds good to me Paul. I must admit, the Scud does feel very much like the standard 430. A nice hairy F/R motor would ad a bit of variety.
"Viking Motor Park-SWE-Enköping"

I'll add it to the list Hakan. Sounds like you're in for a bit of a treat to the ears when the wind's in the right direction. From where I live I would say it's more than ten Kmto Cadwell Park, and we can hear the bikes there quite clearly some days.

I've slightly updated the track

By the way, I know I keep saying this about new tracks, but that one with no name is simply sensational, I love, love, love it. The way it flows is magic. It's making me think about re-visiting some of mine and working on them to bring them up to standard. I really hope that they carry the course maker over to GT7, or GT/S, or whatever it is.

See you tonight guys 👍

Cheers, Zo.

You like it then? :P

I think I'm getting the hang of the course maker now. I used to spend hours on the old GT5 one and I find I'm starting to do so with the new one! I tend to start a new one on a Saturday and it's usually well past midweek before I'm happy with it. I have before now spent all that time and then end up deleting it because I can't get it just right. I do like a flowing track. I'm a bit obsessive. :)

There's a new one coming up for release soon. There's just one section that needs tweaking!

Did you ever try my previous one Cape Canaveral - designed around the Rocket?

See you in the Honda later.

Good racing again yesterday. It took me 3 races to get to grips with the Civic and the track - and then the pressure from Goofy got to me at the last corner. :dopey:

I liked the KTM though - do I get double points for that? :mischievous:

Viking Motor Park-SWE-Enköping
Nice course Håkan. 👍
It's a proper racetrack with long straights and smooth corners. We are going to need something faster than a Fiat 500 for it. :)

Maybe that Lamborghini Diabolo GT2 I mentioned before may be suitable.

Hehe, I was thinking of the Sambabus, noooo I agree with you on the Lambo thingy :D

Greeting chaps, sorry for the tardy timing of my update to the thread............... no excuses really.

Anyway, welcome to Sir Suti, I think he fitted in very well. It's nice to see new faces, so to speak.

And, well done to Rob on two storming wins. Not sure what happened in the last race!

And..... well done to Hakan. A very strong performance at Lime Rock has moved him in to top spot in the series, on 84% (he he).

@Team_SWE_1 , what motor would you like to use at your track Hakan? Comfort tyres don't forget.

Race results and standing updated fellas, I'm pleased to say that the majority of us are very tight in respect of average finishing positions. I hope this is translating into good racing for everyone.

@IfAndOr Diablo GT2 set up for Tuesday, by the way, Paul.

Cheers, Zo.

OK. 👍 Perhaps anyone who has trouble with the rear end being a bit loose could use a different tyre mix.

After a bit more testing, and a oil change, I was starting to think the Viper with 670hp was perhaps a little to much for comfort tyres. The rears were squealing on the straights! Interesting though.

Gentlemen, I've had a spin around The circuit which has no name with the Lambo wearing C/M front and C/S rear. It feels extremely well planted using this combination. With C/S both front and rear it does have the potential to lap quicker, mighty, mighty quickly, in fact. However, whilst doing so it is dancing on a knife edge and, fun though that is when hot lapping, it doesn't make for the closest of racing, a slight tap, or simple speed miscalculation will have it facing the wrong way in no time.

With this in mind I am asking that everyone use C/M front and C/S rear. In that way no one has an advantage and we all have a car that is more stable. Believe me, this combination does not turn it into an understeering nightmare, the Diablo still carries it's name with pride, and goes like stink :)

Good call Paul 👍

Cheers, Zo.

Edit: BB, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?
