Right, that's one reason why I think they'll be adding more RMs eventually. Also, every RM says "Racing Modification 01" despite there only being one livery. This suggests that eventually there will be more.

How? :)

That NSX remembers me of the NSX LM in GT1, BTW.

It's more or less the same, huh. Here's a real life version:

Change Racing Modification number: Select your RM car in your garage -- it's immediately to the left of 'Change Car' and 'Tuning'. Four different fonts, and numbers 1 through 99.

Why is the 'GT' logo backwards?

I personally am ok with this, it would take a long time to put proper racing modifications on every car. If they did it they might have to do it half way done and I would rather not have it at all than half way done.

Race Modified cars.... if you respray them after RM'd do you lose the numbering etc?

I hate white cars with a passion, but love my Civic too much! :D

No. In the little preview, it says "Racing Modification 01" as if there were more Racing Liveries, but there isn't. It has nothing to do with the font or number.

ooo okay i thought you meant the number that was on the car itself
hopefully this means more cars will be added to the RM category soon

So far of over 70 cars, I have only found the corvette Z06 to be able to be RM converted. I would like to start a list of RM convertible cars. Anyone who knows of some please post here. Thanks

These are the 17 cars that can get the racing modification:

Acura NSX RM '91
Chevrolet Camaro SS RM '10
Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RM '69
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) RM '06
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09
Dodge Challenger R/T RM '70
Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) RM '97
Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5) RM '04
Lexus IS F RM '07
Lotus Elise RM '96
Lotus Elise 111R RM '04
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR RM '05
Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) RM '02
Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI spec C Type RA RM '05
Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) RM '95
TVR Tuscan Speed 6 RM '00
Volkswagen Golf IV GTI RM '01

Just take the RM out of the car name and you have the stock cars that can be converted. I copied the names off of the official car list, that's all. In game the RM doesn't appear in the car name.

Very much +1. This is in fact the do or die with this game for me. If it´s crap and too limited, then GT5 is a pass for me.

Great idea. I was wondering the same thing. I know the 1969 Camaro and the 2010 camaro have this option. Havent seen any other cars with it yet.

The list of all the cars with can get racing modifications are listed in another thread:

What exactly are the racing mods? Is it just cosmetic (like adding a number to the car or colors or something), or are there mods that effect performance?

If anyone has modded one of these cars I'd love some info on what exactly racing modifications do and what the cars look like when they're all modded up :D

Thanks for your contribution!

I'm turning on my PS3 to mod my Camaro SS '10 as we speak...

Edit: Nevermind, not performing this mod, it wants to turn it ugly for $177k... no thanks lol

Nice! Take some screenshots of it, I'm really curious as to what the racing mods do. Hopefully the mods give a nice performance boost too.

UPDATE: Just did a racing mod on the Silvia S15... looks pretty sweet... gonna test it now and I'll post pics later if I have time
