Rainbow Six Vegas for the 360

I highly recommend Rainbow Six Vegas as a must buy game even over GOW. RSV is excellent all the way around. You can have up to 4 players in the co-op story mode or 4 players in Terrorist hunt. Terrorist hunt is extremely fun. You have a time limit and have to kill all the terrorists in that time and you cant die at all. Its very very fun. Yes it is also very colorful on most of the levels and the single player graphics are around the same as Ghost Recon. The multiplayer graphics are less that GRAW but they are still good.
RSV is very very good. The multiplayer blows GOW away.
Heather and I already beat the co-op campaign now we are concentrating on the co-op terrorist hunt.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Yes as you increase your body armor you become slower but stronger. The online options are mind blowing. Easily well over a million customization options(this is official). You can also get a guy with a shield that can take some serious damage! There are also females so Heather finally has a female character.
You can also take a picture of your own face and put it in the game. Or actually any face you want. There are some guys taking pics of arnold schwarzenegger and using his face or Osama Bin Laden. lmao I have seen some pictures that look exactly like the real life person. I dont have the cam and dont plan on getting it but there are a lot of cool things in this game. I want to see some Sponge bob faces or Ronald Mcdonald. :lol:
RSV is a must buy for sure bro.

Thankfully there's no camping in the game only crouch, plus a frag grenade will take you out before you more than likely get a shot off. Even guys with shields die with any explosive device. I'd love to know where he stores that shield though. lol
 
Well I cannot wait to get this game for Christmas. Hopefully I will be able to get three friends together and play through the game on four player co-op. This last weekend I played through the four campaign co-op missions on GRAW and that was an absolute blast. I can only assume that RSV is just as fun and makes me want the game that much more, along with the 2nd chapter of GRAW.

Maybe we can hook up some time over the weekend. I have been playing ranked games and I am also not that good but it is extremely fun. There are a lot of different modes online and yes there is a way to get friends into ranked games. I saw an entire team with friends that had the same name so I asked them how and its just like GOW. You just have your friend look for the name of the room you are in the you can play together. I got lucky my very first time online and actually killed every single person on the other team and got an achievement!!! It was just pure luck IMO. I was playing team survival but like I said it was pure luck. I was just in the right places at the right time and got some lucky shots. Most of the games after that I got owned. lol
OH BTW team sharpshooters is not just snipers only. Same with sharpshooters. I avoided these thinking they were only sniper games but they arent. They are actually regular games where people kill the other team or everyone is against everyone and there are respawns. So sharpshooters is so far my favorite modes to play mainly because of the respawns. :)
And if you are a person that doesnt like respawns then there are plenty of modes for you too. Something for everyone.
 
To be perfectly honest, I don't think much of the game. Yes, I only completed the first level on Realistic, done most of the first level in Terrorist Hunt mode and played the Multiplayer through the demo, but I still don't think it's worth all of my money. The graphics are a step down from GRAW, and I found the controls and cover a little fiddly. Sometimes when I'm stuck on the wall, the man won't walk all the way across to the very edge of the wall so I can fire at the enemy. Then sometimes when covering behind boxes, I cannot move to the edge of those... Plus, it just feels all washed out and lifeless, unlike GRAW.

There is no doubt it is a seriously hard game, though. On the part where you only have the pistol and shotgun, it took me at least 30 attempts before I got past (proof by seeing I unlocked the "kill 150 terrorists with a pistol" achievement. :lol:) . One close shotgun blast from the enemy and you're cooked.

Probably the game will get better the deeper you go into it, but I have better things to spend my money on.

And I'm sure you know the main part of a game to me IS the offline single player modes. I was expecting it to be great, but was a bit of a let down.

It may be great online, but from what I've played and seen on it, it isn't my type of thing.

I'm guessing you can play the single player campaign on co-op through Live right? If that's the case, that is all the more reason for me to figure out how I want to run a connection to my 360. A wireless adapter from eBay is looking better and better by the day.

Yes. You can have up to 4 player co-op campaign and 4 player co-op terrorist hunt. However the co-op campaign is a watered down version of the single player campaign. The co-op is much shorter but still fun.

yesterday was fun, i definatly like the co-op beter in this game than other co-op games.
 
Woo yeah I am loving this game, just completed the first mission on Realistic, took a while and damn is it hard but man it's just so much fun and teaches you to use your cover and team even when it seems safe. After doing in on Realistic I don't know if I could be bothered doing Normal but this game doesn't even make me consider GoW, I'll buy that sometime but right now I couldn't give 2 shh'its about it.

Died about 100 times, that one area with you and just a pistol is a b!tch and damn the way the enemy flanks you, climbs up the stairs, climbs ladders, whistles, listens to everything, calls for help etc...

Now to try some multiplayer.

Glad to see you are enjoying RSV. You should just rent GOW. After you beat the co-op on insane there really isnt much more to offer after that. The multiplayer of GOW gets extremely boring after a few rounds. You will have much more fun with the RSV online multiplayer. Also make sure you check out the RSV co-op with 2 or 3 other friends. You can have up to 4 total. Maybe you can meet up with Driftgod, Heather, and I this weekend some time. :)

I think maybe the GT series games were the only ones I have but that's GT.

GoW I'd gladly pay also.

Hell, the DFP I got was only $35 and barely used.
 
Wow another 2 levels done and damn did I hate that Red Dragon Restaurant, I got mauled so many times trying to do a successful strategic insert and keep my wits and not get shot and honest to god I must've taken 30 or 40 goes at it to get it done. The enemy flanking you through a closed door and your team not acting until your shot and killed is kind of a hindrance but a small one but I really do admire the enemy and their intelligence most of the time as they get round me and shoot me dead when I least expect it.

I wish you could save as you like rather than having certain Save checkpoints as I really wanted this in the Calypso main stairway room. The game though is amazing and I've hardly touched on the multiplayer as soo many people seem to be taking extreme advantage of the Countdown glitch to rank their asses up. I wish little kids didn't play this also, their voices are so annoying. Wish you could remotely set parental control. lol

Now I've just been dropped on a spire and ready to rappel down a very very tall building but that will need to wait till later today as I'm knacked.
 
Heather beat the game today. She said the last level was real tough. I am looking forward to playing the single player some time again this weekend. I have only played one level of the single player.
I have been playing the co-op again on this time on realistic with Driftgod and we are getting close to beating it. Heather even joined us for a few rounds a couple days ago. She will probably help us finish it this weekend. :) Maybe even Diablo can be our 4th person for the 4 player co-op.

Thats ok. I stayed up until 10:45 but with the winter storm I just figured you got home late. Or I thought maybe you ran into a donkey troll. :lol:No big deal. Heather and I will be on tonight. She doesnt have to work tomorrow so she can probably help us and she can stay up late tonight. Will you be on late tonight? 10:00 or 10:30ish?
 
i should be on around 10:00pm, we are suposed to get pounded with snow tonight (2-4 inches today and 6-12 in the morning) 👍
