The city looks even better then those photos, when shown through an HDTV, but this has to be one of the best looking games on the Xbox 360. But I reckon it can rival Crysis and Gears of War in some places.
The city from the helicopter looks like the best looking on the 360, but when you get onto the ground, it isn't. It's still ver, very good, but in many ways, it is similar to the looks of Spinter Cell, just with more alaising and maybe slight better effects in areas. Though, we haven't got to to a proper daytime scene yet to see what the game properly looks like. The framerate can get a little choppy, definetely at the very end, so I hope they will improve that for the final release.

Other than that, the game is very good. It reminds me of Ghost Recon quite a bit, especially with the duck and shoot methods. Your team is more inteligent for once, actually getting themselves out of trouble and killing - in most instances - the enemy efficiently. The night vision was pretty cool - I died on the part you need to use it on Normal Mode a few times!

I'm talking about the full game, like buying it. I can still download M-rated demos. ;)

Shouldn't be too hard to get the game... the internet sells to those who pay ;), M-rated or not...

I just watched both videos. That game looks so good. I have been planning on buying it now I just cant wait until it comes out. GRAW was one of my favorite shooters on the 360 and this looks like its even better than GRAW. The graphics are even better and thats only a demo! Thanks for sharing!

Looks to be good from the screenshots and the article from Duck. When I get home, I will have to watch all of the videos. Looking forward to it because I have really enjoyed GRAW and if this is better than GRAW, well freakin' awesome.

To those who have played the demo, how are the controls? Similar to GRAW at all or what?

Say that to my mom who would burn me alive if I even touched an M-rated game.

Well that is a difficult subject. I'd say that most 12 year old can play M-rated games ( huge variety of course, DOAX Volleyball vs Manhunt ), or let's better say this game without taking psychological damage.
I mean this game is nothing different than most action movies of today, so what.
Which doesn't convince your mother I guess ;)
Well, whatever, just buy it over Ebay, hide the dvdbox and don't play the game while your mom is at home.
It could get a little tricky if you have brothers/sisters though.... Keep that in mind ;)
Good luck !

She's a stay-at-home mom. I'll just have to wait until I'm 17 I suppose.

But let's get back on-topic.

Well, the demo is finally out.

And it's pretty damn hard.
On Normal or Realistic Mode? :P

If Realistic, agreed. It took a few attempts to even get half way through, but once I memorised the level, I can now do it easily.

Normal. But of course it's fine for you because you're the same person who completed the whole COD2 singleplayer on Veteran mode in a week.

Gosh dangit . . . I really need more money. Between this game and Gears of War, I am going to go insane wanting to buy both, but not having the money to buy either. At least Christmas is coming up.

Yup these last few weeks have been brutal financially. GOW, COD3, NFSC, Viva Pinata and now RSV. BTW RSV comes out next tuesday the 22nd. Just imagine how expensive it gets when you have to buy two copies of each game. :sly: Luckily I dont think any more good games are coming out in 2006. I do still want to rent FEAR some time. I already played it on PC but wouldnt mind getting some achievements on the 360 version.

Well at least you have a job at the moment to allow you to make some money. I am too busy with classes at the moment to be able to do much more of anything. I keep trying to talk myself into getting Gears of War at the moment because I have enough to get it, but I also keep talking myself out of it because I will not have much left afterwards. Stupid school! :banghead:

This game comes out tomorrow and I just heard something really cool about it that I never heard anyone mention.

I just heard that RSV also has a co-op similar to what GOW has. If thats true then I will have to get another copy for my girlfriend so we can play through the game together.

This was posted on the xbox.com forums in one of the stickies.

The developers, are once again incorporating a Co-Op mode into Las Vegas, which will include all of the same levels, and objectives as Single Player. You will of course be able to use your customized character, and the game will support 4 players in Co-Op.

That sounds pretty cool, especially after having played some co-op on GRAW this past weekend. I am really looking forward to hearing what everyone, who gets the game, has to say about RSV. I will not be getting the game until Christmas.

I should have it tomorrow or at least by wednesday. I still cant confirm if its co-op online or not. I cant seem to get a straight answer. If it is then I will definetly buy a 2nd copy so Heather and I can play together. :)
Yeah the GOW co-op was is an incredible experience. We beat it on insane very late saturday night. I have also helped a few other friends beat levels or parts they were stuck on.

I just bought 2 copies of RSV at lunch time. I will be playing the co-op tonight for sure. And I can confirm it is 4 player co-op online!!! :dopey:

Dang, four player co-op online! Awesome stuff! Dangit, now I need to get the game. What do you think of it so far?

I am at work. I will be playing the co-op with heather tonight in about 3 more hours. I will let everyone know my opinion tomorrow when I get back to work.

First hands on impression.
Heather and I played the 2 player co-op for about and hour and a half and got to the level called Red Lotus. We really aren't sure what to think of it yet. The graphics are definetly a step down from GRAW which surprised me because I thought they would be better. Maybe the single player looks better. The controls take some getting used to after playing GOW. Instead of using the A button to take instant cover you have to actually hold down the left trigger. If you let off you come off the wall. I wonder if there would be more enemies if we had 4 players in the co-op instead of 2?
I have several days off for Thanksgiving starting tonight to put more time into the game before I give a full review. I want to check out 4 player co-op, the single player, and multiplayer. So far the 2 player co-op has just been ok.

Heather and I beat the co-op story mode yesterday and dang it is extremely fun. We also started the terriorist hunt and thats also fun. The T-hunt is a lot like Ghost recon 2 where you had to kill all the terrorists on the entire map. However in RSV you cant die at all so it makes it real fun. And you can have 4 player co-op.
I have also played through a level in the single player and its different and more challenging than the co-op. We are really enjoying this game now!! 👍

Well I am almost for certain that I am getting the game for Christmas, so I will get to enjoy it then.

I've seen very little in the way of a storyline for this game. Just like the SOCOM series and most of the Rainbow Six games, it's been more of a multiplayer focus. So I'm assuming that terrorists have taken over Las Vegas, and it's your job to dole out justice. I'm not a tactical shooter or modern first-person shooter guy, but it does look pretty amazing with all the bright lights and interesting effects.
