Just finished all the T-Hunt missions on realistic last night.

Shield + Desert Eagle = Dead terrorists :D

Holy crap congrats on that "Elite Hunter" achievement! That is not easy at all by yourself. Yes it is a typo too. It sais to complete all maps in split screen for the achievement but its a typo. To get it you have to actually play through the single player terrorist hunt by yourself. Again...CONGRATS!! I beat that on normal but havent been able to finish that one on realistic by myself.
I am Master Sergeant but I still havent tried my AK47 or the Raging bull yet.

I need to play some of the terrorist hunts, as I have yet to try out that mode on the game.

I think you may be surprised by the AK-47. It is not a bad gun and is definitely a good alternative if you are tired of using the same old assault rifle all the time. I have yet to try the Raging Bull, so I have no idea how it is.

The Raging Bull is great. I've been able to take people out who come up from the rappels from the helipad in Calypso with it. Its 2 shot kills at close range too.

I didnt find the T-Hunts all that hard, did them all in 2 hours. If you only have a few left, hide somewhere, they all come to you, so its easy to kill them. Casino Vault is really hard though, had a good few turns on that one

I have never tried them with the shield. I heard that is definetly the easiest way to do the T hunts. I just like the challenge of running around without the shield. I only tried it once and just prefer to be without it.

You do go very slowly, and you cant look all the way down, so you can be shot from below. Good thing you can have a shield and a machine gun though :)

Not really so much stuck as I am just tired of dieing at the moment, well I have probably died three or four times (so not very many really), at Dante's Casino. This area is definitely nice with the mounted turret down the hallway and above, along with other guys coming in from multiple directions. I just saved Gabe and then died in the area I just described twice. Being then put back into the firefight to save Gabe is a pain because there is not much of a chance to get your teammates in cover. Well enough of that.

I just tried out the co-op on the single player campaign to see how it worked, well I did just play it by myself to see what it was all about. The vertical split screen is absolutely a horrible, horrible idea, especially with a game like RSV in which there are not exactly a whole lot of enemies vertically higher or lower than you. Other than that, I am looking forward to playing it with some friends whenever I get a chance.

I attempted playing RSV Co-Op in the story mode and I found it to be a bit awkward. Given that he really hadn't played the game all that much, it turned into more of a shouting match than anything between the two of us as to how to get things done. Hmmm. Isn't there a way where you can get like four friends together and do the story mode too?

I'm not sure, but I think you can do a system link on two 360s and play the co-op together with four players. I will most likely find out on Monday when a friend of mine comes over with his 360, as I am sure we will have at least three, if not four people. It should definitely be fun though if we can all get past the horrible verticle split-screen, as some of my friends and myself have already worked together in the co-op in GRAW and do it well together.

I love this game, but as I'm in Hong Kong I always get a red dot on my ping when I join gamers in North America. It's really frustrating as my connection is very quick (as are all in Hong Kong) but people just kick me all the time. It's driving me nuts!

Yes you can play 4 player campaign co-op and 4 player co-op terrorist hunt. Plus up to 16 people online. 4 players going through the campaing together is a blast. Hit me up some time if you want to do it. You can even host your own room and people will join. Its more fun with friends as a co-op but sometimes you can meet some cool strangers too. I joined a couple co-op rooms this weekend just to help random people with different levels.
I started using the AK-47 the other night and I cant believe how brutal that gun is. You can mow people down extremely fast with it. Especially with a scope.
There is also a rumor of 10 new maps coming and 2 new game modes for 800ms points or $10.00 some time around March. Thats a very good deal.

Well i finally got me an X360 on friday and a copy of RSV and my god its hard! Im guessing it takes a fair amount of practice to get competent on the game? I must have tried the first T-Hunt at least 20 times before i did it and that was with the help of a friend (who also recently got RSV).

Certainly is a great game though and i cant wait to get a little further into the game and actually kill people rather than them kill me :)

If anybody would like to PM me some tips i might find usefull id be happy to hear them

You will get better the more you play. You will also unlock more armor and better weapons the more you rank up. The most important hint is to find a gun you like that works well for you. Aim for the head. Also dont just hold down the trigger. Fire in bursts. Squeeze the trigger for just a second and let off squeeze again. If you just hold the trigger you will be shooting all over the place. Terrorist hunts are probably the best places to dial in your skills. Try to get 4 people if you can into the co-op modes. The more people you have the more you can learn and the easier it is to survive.

Well I played some co-op yesterday with a friend and it was pretty fun, though my friend had not played RSV all that much and we struggled a little because of it. I also found out the effects of not using a silencer in some places and how the enemy will actually go out of their way to flank you because of them being much more likely being able to hone into your position. Plus it was a lot harder to flash and clear a room when you actually have to throw the flashbang, instead of letting your bot teammates do it (refering to single player). I got a first hand experience of flashing myself.

Probably would have gotten a little farther along in the game had we not stopped and switched to Gears of War. I have to say Gears of War is definitely fun, but was hard to pick up after playing RSV so much and not remembering the controls for GoW.

Both games are very good. 👍 Now I just need more time to play both of them and with friends. I really need Xbox Live.

So is the AK-47 your new favorite assault rifle? Or favorite overall gun? Do you use the ACOG or rifle scope on it? I need to try it some more, as I have only been using the MTAR-21 as an AR and have been switching back and forth between the MP7A1 and P90 for submachine guns, as I have changed which of the SMGs I like now from the P90 and MP-5N to the MP7A1 and P90; though as of late, I have been using the MP7A1 almost exclusively as my SMG.

I don't have the AK47 yet, but I picked one up with an Acog scope, and it seemed better then the rifle scope one. However I use these weapons for my current rank:

Submachine gun:

Either - MP5, MP7A1 or UMP45 (Mainly UMP45 or MP5) - With Reflex Scopes

Assualt Rifle:

G3K A4 with Reflex scope or Rifle Scope

Shotgun:

870 MCS with Reflex Scope

Sniper Rifle:

M40A1 - With 6x and 12x scope

FAMAS is also one special good gun. I always put Laser on each gun. Personally, my favorite gun is the AK-47 as I just reach the Master Sergeant rank. I was so happy to use the Raging Bull.

These are the guns I use

Sergeant Major

Submachine Gun: MP7A1; UMP45

Light Machine Guns (Not that I use them): 21E

Assault Rifle: AK-47; MTAR21; FAMAS

Shotgun: 870 MCS; XM-26-LSS (If I'm pissed off)

Sniper Rifle: PSG1 (Better than any of the Bolt Action rifles)

Pistol: Raging Bull (Of Course)

Gadgets

Frag Grenades; Incediary; Flashbangs (Good if you have good tactics); C4 (Rarely)

Submachine gun: MP5 on 3 round burst, UMP on 2 round burst, MP7A1 on Full Auto, all depending on situation. With Rifle scope for all. Mac-11 if I want a Shotgun without taking a Shotgun, Laser sight on that.

Assault Rifle: None usually, if I have to, the Aug. 6X Scope

Light Machine Gun: MG36 just because I have it. Recoil Control Stock.

Shotgun: Spas 12, Laser Sight.

Sniper Rifle: SV-98, 6X-12X

Pistol: Desert Eagle, high capacity mag.

Gadgets: All depends on the server. I mostly play with Explosives off, so Motion Sensors and a Gas Mask. With Grenades on, Frag and Incin.

Yes its definetly confusing going from GOW to RSV. Even worse if you go from COD3(which I already sold) to RSV. RSV and GOW are 2 games I will never sell. They are just too good. RSV is great all around and GOW has very good co-op that I have already played over 11 times beginnin to end.
To answer your question about the AK-47. I only used it a couple times before I went to bed that night. I usually use the MP9 but from what I could tell the AK-47 was very very powerful and possibly better than the MP9. You have to shoot in bursts or its very inaccurate.
When I host I dont restrict anything. People can use whatever they want. I usually use C4 and grenades.

Which game should I buy, Gears Of War or Rainbow Six?
Like I just said above GOW has a very good 2 player co-op campaign that I have already played 11 times with different people on different difficulties. I dont care for the GOW multiplayer at all.
RSV is the full package and is one of the best games for the 360 when it comes to multiplayer fun. I believe Gametrailers.com voted RSV as the best multiplayer game of 2006. If you have to choose I say buy RSV and rent GOW. Its a tough decision but I feel there is much more replay value in RSV plus its 4 player co-op and 4 player terroirst hunt. And 14-16 online. You also unlock camo, guns, armor, and many other options as you rank up. 👍

I'll get Rainbow Six on my way home then.

I would get both. I have both, well I got both of them for Christmas . So it might be a little different if I were to have had to buy both.

Well I got past the part I was having problems with. I think I know one of the biggest problems was that every time I tried to enter the room, one of the terrorists would open the door before my team had a chance to setup at the door. This run through I had no problems at all. My team had a chance to setup and then frag and clear. After the initial frag, I set them up and set back near the door clearing any terrorists who tried to take out my team from above. Once I had put them down, I went over to the left and helped Jung and Michael clear the rest of the room. Before heading into this area, I decided to give the AK-47 a go since I had not used it in a while. It is pretty brutal at long range and has no problem putting terrorists down. The recoil can get out of hand a little bit if it is not fired in bursts; otherwise, it is brutal when it comes to putting the bad guys down.

R6: Vegas DLC detailed

When most people go to Las Vegas, it usually takes them a while to muster the energy (and bankroll) to make a return visit. Not so with Ubisoft. The French developer announced that it is preparing new downloadable content for the recently released Xbox 360 version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas.

Due out on Xbox Live Marketplace at the end of March, the Player's Pack Red Edition content pack will include five more multiplayer maps and two new game modes for Vegas. Ubisoft has not announced a price point for the content.

Of the five maps, three will be brand new and two will be Rainbow Six: Vegas maps--Border Town and Killhouse--that have been "revisited and relit." The three new maps are:

Doscala Restaurant
--set in Downtown Las Vegas off Fremont Street
Marshalling Yard--a service yard in the center of an industrial district used to store cars
Roof--a coffee factory in Mexico overrun by gang violence

In the new assassination mode, one team will be tasked with defending a VIP, while the other team does its best to take him out. Total Conquest sees teams trying to control strategic points for a certain amount of time.

I still prefer some new weapons like the SA80.

It was fun playing the RSV co-op most of the day with you yesterday TVR. Had quite a few laughs. :)
Well I am a little disappointed that the 10 map rumor wasnt true. So now we only get 3 new maps since 2 are relit. Hmm thats actually disappointing. The 2 new game modes look like they will be fun. How much will the new DLC be worth.

Well I am getting closer to finishing the game. I am on the last level and I hope to be able to get around to playing it sometime soon. I have a bunch of homework and a test to do this week.

Also, I wanted to say, I have been playing around with the MTAR-21 on single shot and see how I like it because I have not really tried it. I was struggling with one part near the end of the level before the last one because I was going through magazines too quickly with the MTAR-21 on full auto. I switched it over to single shot and did not have the problem. So far, I have liked the results. I need to see if it holds up though.
