Well, my example was on "The Bill" on ITV a few weeks back, and that was called "Happy Slapping".

Random fact: A 12 year old happy slapped me at Angel tube station the other day while his friend recorded it on his mobile phone...

I punched the culprit and grabbed the mobile phone, I threw the offending phone to the ground and stamped on it (I was wearing a pair of steel toed assault boots, the phone didnt have even the smallest glimmer of a hope of survival), the two chavs made a rather subdued exit.

God that was satisfying!

I think we need to differentiate the copy cats and what the media turned happy slapping into to. Obviously they would twist it to make a story.

Happy slapping actually started in east london. Friends would just slap each other when it was unsuspected and record it to laugh at each other at a later date.

Then some little punks decided to start doing it to strangers and also calling it happy slapping when actaully its assault. Also in some happy slap video compliations you will see people being hit over the head with objects and generally being punched. These are not ahhpy slaps but just bunched in as "entertainment" probably by some 14 year old kid who hasnt yet grown out of watching street fights.

A true happy slap is a like playing slapsies but instead of a hand a head.

Having them on your computer and then saying you didnt want them is like saying you've got illegal body enhancing drugs in your fridge but you've never used them before...

Obviously they're a big problem in the UK and people are upset by them then I think you should just accept that and keep your mouth shut.
