It's a drag car. I hate it.

It has potential as a drag car (for some odd, unknown reason), but as far as circuit/road racing is concerned...understeer becomes a big issue. The vehicle is not really designed for corners. For the most part, every time I get one of the drag cars, I sell it for money. Since I haven't put much effort into tuning one, I don't think I have enough experience with it to make a "useful" review and rating. However...I'll say that I've set better 0-1000km times with the Speed 12 than the R33 Drag....

Yah, me too...I've sold dozens of drag cars by now :) You get to rate this car on a scale from 1 to 100, and you also get to name the next car, Ron

Toyota 2000GT I already rated this one again awhile back. One of the coolest looking sports cars, it's very unique. The 2000 GT isn't very fast at first, and the gearbox limits the car's top speed unless you get a racing tranny, but it can be made to go faster thru upgrades. Plus, the 7,000 rpm redline is decent. The real-life car has a 50/50 weight distribution and the 2000 GT is a middle weight. The engine accepts NA and turbo upgrades, making this car a devil in those lower levels of racing.

Some bad points: it's expensive, it's RARE, it's not really worth all the money you pay for it (but who cares, it's a videogame, right?) and the tires don't have much grip. Fully tuned (330 hp), it should be able to compete against cars at the same level-such as Corvettes, but the 165/HR-15 tires make the 2000 Gt difficult to control. This is a car from the days when a low-profile tire still had acres of sidewall. :) Finally, there's the torque...or lack of. :indiff:

and

I give it a 40/100

Next car: '94 Mitsubishi FTO GPX or GR

ahh this is my first rate a car, so if i did a bad job..yeh lol, typing this as i play the game.

'94 Mitsubishi FTO GR

This is my first car in GT2, Steel Silver Metallic, nice lookin car, great first car i rekken, mines currently at 210HP with NA tune 1,weight reduction stage 1,single plate clutch, racing flywheel, racing muffler and computer.

400m in - 14.884

not to bad,ill aim to get this car into the 13 second barrier, has a nice take off, i really havent driven it enough for a full review, but so far so good,i wasent a big fan of the FTO series before but this car sure looks sweet. Stock Gearbox does its job to.Car handles pretty good also,i cant find any bad points of this car as of yet tho.

1000m - 26.838

Next Car: Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX-R STi Version VI ( personal fav )

Skylines are amazing! 95/100

Oh I see...hmmm...then...

For Drag Racing: 95/100
For Gran Turismo (pun intended): 5/100

:D:D:D
Actually it's a wonderful car when tampered with, You have to sit the body on a normal chasis and it works like a normal car, You can also change the tires up front to that of another car and it works pretty good, But it's a shame to include cars in the game that have no place for there full potential!

For rallying the celica isn't as good as the other celica's when it comes to handling. 60/100

Next car: Lancia Y

GT 4Ever;2512890
Never heard of it :P

0/0

Hey that's bogus! You can't not rate a car just cuz you've never heard of it! Go take it for a spin, dude! Look in West City. If you think it's awful, then you have the right to say so, but don't go zero/zero next... if you don't rate the Lancia Y, then I eventually will. I'm curious about it.

If you know how to tune the Celica's it handles great, It's the best celica in the game! IMO...

Lancica Y 20/100-----)

Daihatsu Move Aerodown Custom Like all Kei cars, it's a slug at first, but this is one that can tackle a lot of races beyond the Kei Car events. Trial Mountain enduro and maybe even the Seattle enduro can be tackled. Power can be boosted near 190 hp, the 4 wheel drive keeps the Aerodown relatively stable so far as traction is concerned, and it also a fun, silly van to drive 👍 It is also inexpensive

But it must be driven with lots of care in those corners. It understeers and is severely clumsy. Not really a good beginner's vehicle. And do we need so many Moves in GT2? Isn't one example enough?

Good point :)

Okay... BMW 328Ci....

Likes: It has good acceleration and has good looks
Dislikes: It comes i a lot of colours, but none of them I really like, and also oversteers quite a bit for my liking. But hey, that's just me.

71/100

Next car: Nissan Skyline R32

Okay...I'll do a general R32 write-up (not the JGTC or LM'S..just the regular dealer-bought cars) keep in mind it won't be 100% accurate! I haven't raced every single R32, but I got a general feel for them. ;)

In Gt2, these are all in the used car section. Which means they're CHEAP! Some other plusses: there are all kinds to play with: 4-wheel drive as well as rear-wheel drive...coupes as well as 4-doors, and many R32 Skylines can and will accept 3 or 4 stages of intercooled turbocharging, which means some dealer-bought cars have potential to do every top race GT2 has to offer! Handling is always good; Early Skylines weren't very tail-happy, and the R32 generation also attacks corners with a bit of understeer. Even the rear-drive versions aren't prone to spinning unless you really fvck up or lack experience.

Some bad things? There aren't many bads. The R32 generation looks rather plain and ordinary compared to earlier and later Skylines. The race kits look awesome, but the regular cars look as exciting as an Audi S4. No wings, fender-flares...etc. Also, I find that despite their predictable handling, these cars can be dangerous at their limit with understeer and throttle-oversteeer. But this is not a major fault. Any intermediate or experienced player can quickly learn this car's limits...they're not impossible to drive. The rear-drive versions suffer from poor off-the-mark acceleration... Oh, and there's too many Skylines in the game! :sly:

But overall: 79 out of 100 for me.

Anybody wanna rate the '93 Honda Prelude Si? (used car lot)

Ah the 93 Prelude si I actually love these cars and I dont usualy like FF vehicles either. IMO these cars are very beautiful, the best Generation of the Preludes. This car is quick and handles awesome for a FF as well so all in all this is a sweet ass car Id have to rate it a

88/100.:sly:

Next car is the IMO best Muscle car in GT2 and it is the 1969 Cheverolet Corvette Stingray:drool:

The Plymouth Muscle Car that car is alright it is definintly not the best but a good classic for sure I got it to top out tuned to 192MPH, thats not to quick or realistic but it is not the performance that matters for these oldies its their collectable rating:tup: well at least for most in this game:ouch:

Next Car is the 1983 Mazda RX7 this thing is just so I can not tell you how much I love this car:drool:

1983 Mazda RX7 Just a few hours after unwrapping the plastic from my copy of Gt2, I discovered this car, which I totally never would have thought would be in Gran Turismo...so it was a shocker. Soon as I saw it, I had to buy it even tho my credits were low and I was initially shopping for something else.

It's a good looking car. PD did a great job with the limited pixels and stuff. Hood-mounted mirrors, rubber-trimmed bumpers...it looks like the real thing! The gearbox feels flexible with a tall 5th for straight cruising...the 1st gen RX7 hit 151 mph totally stock in my testing despite its low horsepower. It is CHEAP too. Priced to move off the lot! 3 levels of intercooled turbos boost power up to 433 bhp!

But some bads? Very underpowered for a sports car when stock. It rolls a lot and is prone to fishtailing (unlike newer RX7s) before an aftermarket suspension is installed. No race kit available? It has touchy rear-wheel drive acceleration once the power is boosted, and it is also rare...tough to find in the exact color you want (I DON'T want a white RX7! too girly)

How about the Fiat Coupe?

Are you sure in the versions I played the 1983 Mazda RX7 had a Racing Modification it has from what I remember 2 main colors red, and grey, with some blue and green stripes. And it kind of has a Nascar aero body shape. This may be because we have different versions thats most likly the reason mine does and yours does not:confused:

Now for the Pheaton this car is actually pretty cool I think pretty good power looks intereasting and sound powerful I just wish it was a more smoother ride, it is not a joy to drive really. At least it has a top speed of 200MPH.

This means it is a 62/100.

Now how about the Mazda MX5 Miata B-Spec?

Okay...you're probly right. My bad. :guilty:

I'm passing the Mazda Miata B-spec on since I never drove one.

I like the B-Spec Miata, Great engine sound and a different set of wheels, I has to shark a Little power and downforce in it, But all in all a nice car with clean mini power.

Bump.

It is probably the coolest Miata to own, as it can tackle any corner, without any problems. It has adequate power to win a race against a Silvia Spec R Aero, but it is still a Miata. 75/100.

Next Car: Nissan Skyline R30 Silhouette Fourula, I love this car, it beat a Toyota GT1 Race Car with ease, tell me what ya think. :)

Oh... R30 Silhouette is a damn good car. It actually doesn't seem like a copy of an existing car: it handles so good that it reminds me a little FR Escudo. If you tune it well, it will be unstoppable. The only problem is little understeering, but it can be easily removed. As you said, you can beat such monsters as GT1 Race Car without any problems. 91/100 for me :)

Next car: Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor (especially race-modified) :)

This is another great car, coming from Mercedes. It handles almost as well as a Honda S2000, and can be tuned to be a zippy little race car. Size isn't everything, and this car is just one of the many examples that proves it. It is a car with a certain "cool factor" that only Mercedes can offer. Even stock this car is a blast to drive. It isn't the right car to drift though, it seems to have too much grip to drift sometimes, which is good when you don't want to fishtail on corners and spin out on hairpins.

95/100

Next: TVR Speed 12, one car that is dangerous, but deceptively fast. It is one of the few NA cars I love driving, how about you?

Let's see....Viper...700+ horsepower if I remember right and can run with the big boys of GT2, but it makes the Speed 12 look tame if you don't know how to tune it. 82/100.

Next car: Spoon S2000

Spoon S2000... Hmm.. Pretty okay car if You make license B all gold. A great one to start with.. If I am right You can't mod it to have much power but it handles well, and it's pretty fun to drive.. It's beautiful tho. Just an... ok car :)

65/100

Next one .. hmm the Mitsubishi Mirage/Colt (hatch) ..
