Oh.

Well, to decide, how about we flip this coin?

Heads: C-Class Touring Car
Tails: Nissan Primera

And it's...

That's not the point, is it?

All right then, just go ahead with the Nissan Primera, whilst I correct my post.

I give the Primera a 70/100, but a decade ago, I would've gave it a 90/100 when I wasn't bored with it. It can handle well, great sleeper, but it is still an FF, and back then I never knew the difference between turbo and NA!

Next: Diahatsu Mira TR-XX '90

I generally don't like those "kei" cars, I don't understand what's the deal of putting so many little city-cars in a racing sim... Concerning Mira TR-XX - it's pretty cool, good power to weight ratio, clear handling, but nothing special... Maybe I'm just the wrong person to rate this type of cars :)

57/100

Next car: Lotus Esprit GT1

[upd] By the way, I'd be glad if someone more skilled than me would rate any kei car better and tell us and me why did he do that :) I mean, why there are so many kei cars here (if not to take general overrepresentation of japanese cars).

I agree. I mean, I think some of them are cool, but half of them aren't my cup of tea. But then again, PD is a Japanese company. Perhaps over in Japan they get all excited about keis.

Next car: Lotus Esprit GT1

88/100

Extremely fast, slick, and looks like something a witch would take a ride in! Lightweight, you can modify it without a race-kit.

Downside: expensive. Extremely twitchy/nervous...great for pros but newbs beware.

But I rate it highly.[/quote]

Maybe I will later on. As I said, i really like some keis (Suzuki Cappucino, Mitsubishi Pajero, and a few others) but most of them collect cyberdust!

Next car: I picked this at random off of Pupik's list on www.formulanone.org/gt2

'93 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec

It's just another Skyline, and I never liked this model too much, since it weights more than the regular GT-R R32 '89. 70/100.

Next: BMW 323ti Compact.

BMW 323ti Compact: 87/100

A quirky little car, really fun to drive. Sad that a racing package did not come with it, though. Being the only compact by BMW in this game and the only car present in GT2 on the E36 chassis, it is also very unique. looks correctly proportioned for a downsized car, if a little mutated.

Next car: (speaking of BMW...) BMW 750iL

BMW 750iL

What's it like to race a true executive-class Beemer? I drove this machine briefly a couple years back...always fun to drive something I see local yupsters cruising in.

I think GT2 is the only game that has this 4-door, which makes it unique. 👍

Can be modded past 400 horses 👍

Looks good even with crappy PS1 graphix 👍

Great BMW engine sound. 👍

V8 torque great out of corners 👍

Now the bads

HEAVY 👎

No race kit available 👎

Average "non-BMW" brake response 👎

Sluggish straight-line acceleration despite V8 power 👎

Newbs should stay away. Intermediates will need almost all the availble mods to make this one race-worthy 👎

Can't change wheels 👎

400-ish horsepower not enough to make this one a star except in the hands of the capable 👎

Beemers are known for their nimble, chameleon-like handling. This one (with its weight) maneuvers more like a Lincoln or something 👎

Summary: Fun to drive & race, unique, but its weight overcomes it in the long run.

40/100

Next Car--I been driving this in GT4 lately: '84 Toyota Celica Supra (used car lot-the game calls it the '84 Celica I think)

Toyota Supra Celica 1984: 76/100.

The oddball of the Toyota lineups in GT2 (bar the elusive 2000GT), this car seems to show up below the radar of the racing world of GT2. Sure, there are your 1982 Corvettes, your Mazda RX-7 GT Turbos (another furtive car) and even your Datsuns, but none capture the styling and the mystique of the 1984 Celica (maybe the 1983 Mazda).

Best of all, you can tune it and race-modify it, and it can do 178mph!

But, for all its greatness, the better-known Mazda outdoes it, and ultimately overshadows it. Could this be why it seems so obscure in GT2?

Next car: Its adversary, the 1983 Mazda RX-7 GT Turbo!

Next car: Its adversary, the 1983 Mazda RX-7 GT Turbo!
It is capable of 160MPH stock if I remember correctly, and it only had around 157HP! It is lightweight and well balanced, just like a RX-7 should be. Great car for beginner drivers and beginner drifters. Let's not forget that turbo it came with. 90/100.

Next: Lister Storm V12, if that was done, then RUF Turbo R.

Lister Storm V12:

Looks quite good
Goes HARD
Decent handling
FR despite somewhat MRish bodywork
JAG POWERED!

Isn't quite as affordable as I'd like
I can't think up enough cons.

Next: Vector W8 or RUF CTR2 Sport if done already. If both are done, RUF Turbo R.

Wiegert Vector W8 Twin Turbo...

Pros:
634 horsepower stock...most out of any non-race MR car, I believe 👍
Odd, but awesome styling 👍
Can do 175 mph in 2nd 👍
Good novelty value:tup:

Cons:
420,000 credits, a little much for this car IMO 👎
"Only" 3 gears 👎
No RM 👎
Can't use it for much, and it's outclassed in what it can be used for 👎
Handles like a train, except worse, without any suspension tuning 👎

Overall: 60/100

Alright, let's just get the RUF Turbo R over with.

hmm...possibly offtopic, but there is an MR road car that produces more HP..the infamous Ford GT90 (726hp)...but does that count? sorry im being nitpicky here lol

That Vector can get tuned past 730HP, I don't remember if the Ford GT90 could. :ouch:

RUF Turbo R
It is 4WD, even though I was expecting it to be RR.
It can be almost as dominant as the RUF CTR2.
Very fast car, it's expensive because it's a RUF, but you know you get the typical RUF high speed, smooth handling, and neck-braking acceleration from it's RR/4WD engines.
The bad part is you can't tune it too much, only around 530HP or so. It is also 440,000Cr stock, but worth it IMO.
95/100.

Next: Mercedes CLK 320 Sport.

Toyota Supra Celica 1984: 76/100.

YEah this is so true. good point. I sometimes forget the 2nd-gen Supra is in GT2.

Mercedes CLK 320 Sport: 68/100

A conservative sedan... perhaps a bit too conservative. It costs that much more for a 'Sport' version of the CLK 320, and yet for many, the value is lost. Its performance, from what I recall, was only marginally better, and it shared the same appearance as less expensive cars slotted into the line-up of Mercedes-Benz. Even the AMG C43 was distinguishable...

That's not to say it's still a solid car, though, just to say that it's less solid than expected.

Next Car: Nissan March Superturbo (1991?)

March Super Turbo

Pros
Unique but cool sound. 👍
Like it's name says, it's turbo'd and supercharged. 👍
It may be FF, but since it's low powered it makes for one hell of a fun car on Motorsports Land. 👍

Cons
Somewhat boring and plain RM. 👎
It is not that easy to drift, without PLENTY of tuning. 👎
Well can't think of any real cons.
88/100

Next Car: FIAT Punto GT, one of the best cars on Motorsports land IMO, especially fully tuned.

EDIT: Cool, this post was made at 5:10PM. :)

Well, you can. It is just not as straight-forward as drifting a rear-wheel drive car. There are probably more settings that interfere with drifting a March Superturbo than most, so that may be what racerx510 means.

P.S: Yes, racerx510, that is very cool indeed.

Rate This! if it hasnt been rated already.
Nismo Skyline GTR 4-door
ill start with my attack on it.
Pros.
good power stock. unique. cool bodykit. 4WD
Cons.
Heavy. slow. understeer
84/100

Sounds good:

(Estimated if it exists)

Mazda MX-5 D-Rights Car- 79/100

The car is still a Miata (or an MX-5): it still is slow on the straights, and it could be better-looking. However, that's not to say that it would not be a cracker to drive in a twisty or technically-demanding circuit or course (it would have loved the Eigen Loop.). The red lettering, while not particularly performance-enhancing, makes it that bit special.

Of course, this is the only Miata with red lettering that I know of.

Next Car: Mazda RX-7 Turbo 1983

RX-7 '83:
An ol' skool car :) Cool-looking, but lots of understeering... I'd give it 75/100 because it has ~450 hp when fully tuned.

Next car: CR-X del-sol LM
