peterjfordHello everyone. I am a new drifter. I half-heartedly tried the Drift Trials in the Seasonal Events before but always found it frustrating. I finally followed some tuning advice and set up a Jaguar XKR Coupe '10 and got a gold on the latest Drift Trial after only about 10 attempts. I am guessing that for most people here the Drift Trials are easy, but this was a big accomplishment for me. Now I feel that maybe (with the right car, set-up, and practice) I can drift. I don't have a lot of time to play GT5, but I am now going to add drifting practice to the things I do whenever I do get time to play.

Hi I'm Conza, and I'd like to learn how to drift (in GT5).
I've sort of been able to do controlled drifts with the handbrake on FF cars, when they are understeering, I learnt on fifth gear (thanks Vicki), that the handbrake can help swing the car the right way.
But mostly I want to learn to drift for the seasonal events, I just want to be good enough to get the golf, so I can get an extra million bucks, and get the full use out of the new seasonal events when they come out.
So I'm going to look around for guides on drifting in this forum, I'm guessing the best cars are FRs, but Jeremy Clarkson also reccomended the Audi R8 (forget if it was the 4.2 or 5.2, possibly both are good).
I'm sure settings play a part as well, I'm also using a Driving Force GT, although I do have a controller available, I think it'll ultimately be more fun to be able to use a wheel.
Hello, imma new guy and i was wondering what the average drift score is.
