Hey people! i'm not new to drifting however i don't drift regularly. I do it as a hobby. I'm pretty decent in My HKS Nissain Silva. It's my favourite car and i love it. it's the only drift car i have, and i'm looking for more setups for different cars.

I would like to get into drifting, and have a few noob questions. could you use the g37, the countach, or the pagani zonda to drift? what tires are appropriate for drifting, and what effect does tire selection have on your drifting?

I CAN DRIFT EVERYTHING !!!! :P

even a Midget ;)

hi im shaye. im new to this site and trying to improve my drifting skills and driving skills in both real life and on gt5. i really could use help with setups and advice on how to improve my drift and my cars. feel free to add me on psn also pitbullo21789. im very friendly and all advice is welcomed. btw i am currently building a 1992 240sx in real life for drifting and street racing but i could use alot of set up advice for my rwd cars on here. my favorite drift car is my r34 gtr v spec ll nur skyline. but i see alot of hate for awd drift cars saying they for noobs but as i see it if u can truely master a 4wd car and drift it like a rwd u have real skill and 4wd cars require different skills and techniques to make them drift and to keep them drifting cuz they like to under steer alot but thats my opinion but feel free to msg me anytime and all advice is accepted thanx for any input

Double Posting (#)

“Double posting” occurs when a user makes two consecutive posts, one after another. If this is done for no apparent reason, or if the posts are unimportant, “double posting” is looked down upon and may result in a warning or infraction for “spam”. You can edit any of your forum posts on GTPlanet at any time, and this is generally the best option to take if you have more to add to the discussion. However, it is not expressly forbidden, and can be useful in many cases. For example, if a reasonable amount of time has passed or you have significant information to add to the topic, present it in a new post so that others, including thread subscribers, are made aware of the update.

Thread Bumping (#)

Thread “bumping” is the practice of replying to a thread solely for the purpose of bringing attention to it. This is looked down upon and may result in an official warning or infraction for “spam” or “useless posts”. Your posts in a thread should contribute to the discussion or introduce new information in some way. Limited, overt bumping is permitted in The Trading Post (not to be confused with the GT5 Marketplace).

Hi, I'm not new to the GT series, but only started really drifting in GT5. I've been practicing over 4 hours a day on the weekends and at least an hour each day during the week. When I first started about 2 months ago, I could barely get bronze on the seasonal drift trials. I have made great strides and over the weekend I got 20,874 points on the Spa drift trial and a ranking of 2,229 at the time. I used the Cerbera Speed 12. I have figured out how to drift and only need to be more consistant to increase my point totals. However, I don't seem to be able to drift well with old Japanese cars on Suzuka. I can only barely gold that one. I have come to this forum to see what I can learn about drifting with low powered/light weight cars.

There was nothing better than finally getting over 20,000 points in a drift event! I'm hooked and can't get enough!

NEWb drifter here. Haven't done any looking for info yet. I really wanna learn to drift in GT5. I'm just looking for different techniques and setups and I know there are 2 stickies with tuning info. So.. yea! I'll be drifting in no times. Really hope to get my Camaro to drift with minimum front wheel height and max rear wheel height. looks sexay. toodles.

Hello I'm not new to GT5 or to drifting but I'm not the best drifter so I hope to become better. I usually drift the G37 with Racing hard but I also drift a Lexus IS 98 with comfort hard. I find it easy to drift with most cars and have no problem with comfort tires. I can also drift on most tracks but I have difficulty with wide turns but can drift them. I also want to join a team to drift with other friendly people but as a heads up I can't change my PSN. I hope to drift with some of you!

I have been playing GT5 for a while, got a new PSN ID for GTplanet, so I have to start all over again, so once I could get another drift car, hit me up if you all want to drift

Thanks for the offer JJJkr20, but don't worry about the car, I'm going to send some from my old account. I am away from PS3 for few days anyway, too busy ...

Not long since started drifting on GT5. I try to follow Formulad in the real world but it isn't very easy to catch the driftstream with the time difference. I did catch Long Beach though at the weekend :D

This is my weapon of choice, well, atm it is just choice until I am good enough to use it as a weapon :P

Hey all, long time Forza 2+ drifter and I do have to say, I don't know why I waited until now to get a PS3 and GT5! I played GT1 and 2 back in the day and it's bringing back so many memories. I am currently living in Japan and it's great, love my little 180, the KA24 is pretty fun to throw around. I'm looking for a couple people to help me out throughout my beginnings of GT5 drifting. I call myself a tuner I guess. Just looking forward to going out there and having a good time. The reason I'm switching to GT5 is because my FM4 team is no more and I just got some extra cash so I decided why not? Look forward to drifting with you all, add my PSN ID!

Hey all, GT fan since the first gran turismo, g27 user, likes nurgburgring, japanese domeatic market

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and I'm a terrible drifter lol I was wondering If it's possible to get some one on one time to possibly get better. If someone's interested in helping pm me please

Hello everyone!

I am not new to drifting on video games as I hail from Forza Motorsport. But I am new to Gran Turismo and this physics engine, thus rendering new to GT5 drifting. I plan on using a GT86 when I get my hands on one! :) I look forward to meeting a bunch of you online soon enough and hopefully tandeming.

I am sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but what is a good mic for Playstation, specifically for Gran Turismo online racing?

Thank you all and I look forward to playing with you all soon!

Hello everyone.
PSN: TylerLoveday

Was wondering if anyone wants someone to drift with or would be willing to help me out a bit?
I'm not bad at drifting, I have about 40 hours down now and can reasonably control my car, but I want to go farther because I don't consider myself good yet.
Was hoping anyone would like to teach a noob a little more than what I can just pick up, or if anyone just wants someone to practice with?

Thanks,

-Tyler

Hey guys!)
I'm new on this forum, but I play a lot of GT and I really enjoy drifting!)
There are many drifters in Ukraine in GT5, but I'm trying to keep the whole thing alive)
The PSN is KillaTrank, add me if u want to drift with Ukraine's finest)
peace!)

Im new to GTP, but not to GT5 or the GT series. Been playing GT since the 3rd one and actually have an unreleased copy with all the cars. 8)

Anyways, I drift occasionally with different cars and dont really have a favorite, but a ~500hp Supra is what I use for the seasonal events because power oversteer... :P

Oh, and I own an '88 CRX. Its currently out of commission though. Waiting on HMO for my D15b VTEC. 8)

EDIT: If you add me, say you're from GTP wanting to drift or race.
