(some specs taken from the Golf Syncro, of which this car is derived, it's very hard to find anything about this one)

Additional Information:
This car was produced by Volkswagen in the 1990's to fulfill a roll of medium offroading. Popular in the alps, this car came with numerous features typical of beefed-up offroad cars, such as changing the drivetrain to AWD, giving the base car beefier springs and so on. The car started life as a MK2 Golf Syncro CL and was taken to a factory where it was chopped up and reborn as a quirky hatchback-SUV hybrid.

Body Style: 2-door 2+2 coupé
Engine: 3.9L Lamborghini V12
Power: 350 hp (GT), 365 (GTS)
Torque: 300 ft-lb
Weight: 1450 kg
Transmission: 5-speed manual (Automatic was an option on the GTS)
Drivetrain: Front engine, rear wheel drive
Additional Information: The Lamborghini Islero would not conform to the new safety and emissions regulations in the United States in 1970. Rather than tweak the Islero, they opted to just make a successor. Marcello Gandini designed this car, heavily copying from the Iso Lele (one of his other designs). The upgraded GTS model was introduced in 1972. It is not named after the Jarama racing circuit near Madrid, but rather the Jarama bullfighting region in Spain, keeping with the bullfighting theme of Lamborghini's nomenclature for their sports cars.

Torque: 370 lb-ft
Weight: 1,455 kg
Transmission: 5-speed manual

Additional Information: The F512M was the last version of the Testarossa and also the last boxer-engined Ferrari to date. 501 cars were produced from 1994 to 1996, of which 75 were right-hand drive. The F512M houses a longitudinally mid-mounted 4.9 liter Flat-12 engine producing 440 HP and 370 lb-ft of torque. The design changes for the F512M included square framed lamps that are no longer hidden, rear taillamps that are round, a different front lid with twin NACA ducts, and the bumpers have been restyled to yield a more unified look for the car. The F512M could accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds and the top speed of the car was 196 MPH. The F512M is replaced in 1996 by the front-engined 550 Maranello. One F512M was destroyed by it's owner in 2012 in order to save a hedgehog from being ran over.

1959-1961 Goggomobile Dart
tumblr_kojkumQ9HT1qzsctzo1_1280.jpg

Body Style: Roadster (No Doors)
Engine: Two-Stroke Straight-Two Engine
Standard: 293 cc
Optional: 392 cc
Power: 14.6hp - 18.2hp
Torque: 17.4 lb.ft
Weight: 380kg
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Engine, Rear Wheel Drive
The tiny, doorless, roofless Dart was built between 1959 and 1961 by Sydney company Buckle Motors, already known for its fibreglass six-cylinder sports cars that campaigned with some success on racetracks around the country in the 1960s.

The Dart was clad in fibreglass too, although the overall size was somewhat less and the powerplant more akin to that of a model aeroplane than a sportscar. Displacing 0.3 of a litre, the two-cylinder, two-stroke engine makes the smallest of today’s eco-friendly powerplants seem like a big-block Chevy.

But it didn’t have a lot of weight to carry. At around 380kg, the Dart undercut many a motorcycle and even though it had minimal kilowatts to play with, it was quick enough at 1960s traffic speeds. If the driver was game, it could reputedly reach as much as 100km/h.

The jellybean body was cute then, and remains so today, although driver and passenger feel pretty vulnerable in the tight-fitting cockpit. The car has what looks like a rear seat but it’s more suitable to a Barbie doll than even the tiniest human. The voluptuously curved windscreen is said to have come from the French Renault Dauphine also sold in Australia at the time.

The Dart sat so low on the road that no doors were needed; you just stepped over the side of the car. It was so light that when it needed to be turned around in a dead end street it was easier for the driver and passenger to physically lift it up and physically turn it around than back and fill.

Basically, there were two Goggomobil two-seaters – Australia's locally built fibreglass model and the German original with a steel body and the choice of coupe or convertible configurations. The Australian car was based on German mechanicals and offered a larger, 0.4-litre engine later in its brief career. Fibreglass is tougher than steel and it was claimed the car could sustain a heavy blow and would then just "spring back into place"! Even if a serious accident occurred to the fibreglass body it could be repaired by any handyman with an inexpensive do-it-yourself kit.

The high demand for minicars during the 1958-1961 period should be seen in the context of a growing demand for 6 cylinder cars and a weakening demand for the mid-size 4 cylinder cars in the same period. The introduction of the Morris Mini Minor, combined with an increase in sales tax to 40% in 1960, dealt a fatal blow to the fortunes of the local Goggomobil and other less successful Australian minicars of the time. About 700 Goggomobil Darts were built in Australia before the end of production in 1961.

Not my favorite 90s Ferraris, but they still look okay to me.

They're miles ahead of that one station wagon Ferrari that some sultan or something wanted Ferrari to make.

Body Style: 2-door coupe
Engine: Toyota R36V, 3.6 litre Twin-Turbo V8
Power: 600 hp

Weight: 900 kg
Transmission: TTE six-speed unsynchronized sequential manual transmission

A smaller fuel tank was fitted and the addition of catalytic converters ensured the vehicle complied with emissions regulations. Toyota says the engineers at Toyota Motorsport GmbH created just two ‘production’ TS020 GT-Ones – one is on display in its museum, the other in Japan.

I'm fairly certain I've seen this polled before.

@Cowboy As I understand it, Toyota built one "Road Car" (LM803) that was only ever intended for display purposes once its role in helping the race version get certified was completed. If anything, it should be classed as race-bred concept.

I'm fairly certain I've seen this polled before.

The LMGTP. Though the RC was included in the additional pics.

Considering that they did so little to alter it in order to exploit the storage space loophole, I wouldn't say that the RC differed enough from the LM contenders for me to allow it as a separate nomination anyway.

So would I have to change some information in the nomination or would I not be able to nominate it because it's a concept?

Sorry I'm just a little confused :boggled:

Power: 500 BHP (GT500), 540 BHP (GT500KR)
Torque: 480 FT-LBS (GT500), 510 FT-LBS (GT500KR)
Weight: 1780 KG (Coupe), 1830 KG (Convertible)
Transmission: Tremec TR-6060 6-Speed Manual
Drivetrain: Front Engine Rear Wheel Drive
Additional Information: After the huge success of Shelby tuned Mustangs in the 60's, Ford's SVT division teamed up with Shelby to create a higher performance version of the 5th Generation Mustang. The final result was the Shelby GT500, which was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in 2005, with the car going on sale in 2007. The GT500 is powered by the same Modular 4.6 V8 as the Mustang GT, with a supercharger to produce 500HP. The car was produced in limited numbers for 3 years (10,000 units per year) at Ford's Flat Rock assembly plant.

At 2007's NAIAS, the GT500KR was revealed, being releaed in 2008. The engine in the GT500KR is tuned to produce 540HP. 1,000 40th Anniversarry editions were built, alongside 571 regular GT500KR's, matching the 1571 production run of the 1968 GT500KR. The GT500KR also took styling cues from the '68 GT500KR. The GT500KR was also featured prominently in the 2008 NBC show, Knight Rider. Owners of GT500's could also send their cars to Carroll Shelby to be upgraded to "Super Snake" models from 2008 for $30,000. He would upgrade the engine and supercharger so the car could produce 605HP (725HP versions were also available).

After the 3 year contract was up, Shelby started work on the 3rd Gen GT500, based on the 6th gen 'Stang, with the 2013 GT500 producing 662HP
