Well now I don't know

I was just wondering anyway. I wouldn't go through the hassle of making more accounts. Though I feel like someone else would if they're really that into S14s.

I don't understand the hype behind the S14. After driving it for a while both stock and modified it's pretty blah. I will probably not drive this car again.
I feel you, although I was pretty happy to obtain it after completing the challenges hours ago. It's now one of my drift cars alongside my Silvia (S13), with more specs for it to come in the near future. :)

Just a few engine mods (got it to 290hp without touching the stock turbo or major parts), street tires and suspension, some weight reduction and the S14 actually drives great! Nothing like a nimble and agile rwd car. And did I mentioned it's a really good looking car?

And for a little 4 banger it sounds pretty sweet!

Got all three events done all in the ae86

Tried to make it like this r34 I saw but I can't make the shade right

So, I'm to believe that the S14 is unobtainable in the game after the Forzathon, bar the auction house?

Currently not on my PC until next week. :/

I still prefer the Supra as a drift car, I think it looks a lot cooler, but this S14 can drift all day long. I put the rocket bunny upgrade on it, and you get it into 2nd or 3rd gear, and apply slight trigger pressure, and it can go forever. Kind of neat. 👍

There I was, armed with the Trueno, waiting to tackle Forzathon and win the Sylvia.

Only one problem: I suck at drifting. I mean REALLY suck at drifting. 9000 here, 12000 there. Maybe even a few FAILURE thrown in for good measure. It was going to be a long night, when suddenly, a voice from the heavens rang out...

"Hey dad! Want me to help?"

And with that I'm now the proud owner of the Nissan. Thanks son!

I’m really enjoying the game, over 50hrs now and at about 20% completion of the solo side, so much to do.

I’m enjoying all the different types of event including getting properly stuck into drifting for the first time ever.

Online is a little laggy but a lot better than many AAA titles at launch and certainly nothing that is stopping me enjoying hanging out with my crew (TUS) . I’m sure online side will settle over the next couple of weeks.
as said before I’m finding the sounds very hit and miss. Some cars do sound incredible whereas others that you expect (and know) to sound good IRL really don’t, with the Shelby Cobra being a prime example of the latter (Turned out to be a bit of a waste of 2million CRs tbh).

"Challenge" is a very broad term, what may be easy for you and I may be incredibly difficult for others.

The difficulty of these Forzathon challenges needs to be kept proportional to the prize and thus far they have been. The horns only required participation and the S14, a cheap 90's compact, requires a decent drift zone score. They have said challenges will vary from insanely easy (which we've had) to ludicrously difficult so you may very well get your Senna-like difficulty down the line.

I hadn't seen that they'd said that the difficulty will vary, so thank you.

Whilst I understand that the challenge needs to be proportional to the reward, there's too many games these days that give pretty good rewards for nothing other than participation. When I was growing up around PS1 and PS2 games there was some really hard challenges in some games that I poured hours into just to chase the win.

When you finally beat a game that is difficult, it's one of the main things that attracted me to gaming back then. It's becoming less and less apparent in games these days, and it's sad really. In fact, the Senna challenges that I mentioned previously is probably the last time I really pushed myself - especially the Lotus F1 challenge at Brands Hatch. However, i'm not talking about making things ridiculously hard for the sake of it to the point where it isn't enjoyable anymore.

That said, I hear what you are saying. Perhaps my post seemed a little aggressive, but it wasn't intended to. I look forward to the next few weeks to see what else Forzathon has to offer.

Hahaha man that's cool!! I can't wait to have kids!!

Did you check your garage? It doesn't give you any actual prompt that it's there, it just shows up.

Never tried that. Checked this morning and still nothing. Did the challenge again (with a stick Trueno no less, just in case there's some ridiculous unwritten rules) and it's still not there.

I wonder if it's tied to the achievements you get for the Forzathon events. In that case, I'm royally screwed as my achievements just don't work for this game for some reason.

That's really strange, mines unlocked instantly. Also the same for my little brother who basically spends all his time in the auction house so he has barely any progress. The game let him unlock it with no issue despite only having one unlocked drift zone.

I have the achievement but no car. Hopefully it's there when I turn it back on later

I had an on-screen message within minutes of passing the drift zone score to say the Silvia was added to my garage.

I opened up my first drift zone after getting SP to Level 3, did one run and got 33k and then it forced me to do the diesel loco showcase before I could continue. After a few more tries, I finally passed the drift score at 2 am.

All for a car whose only appeal to me is that it'll be a more suitable fit for a couple of GT2 race mods...

That'll be why I haven't got it then. Only good side to this is that in endlessly trying to get the rewards to trigger, I now have three stars in almost all of the drift zones.

You also don't need 3 stars to get the Nissan there is a easy drift zone that gives you 35,000 for two stars I think the max is 50,000 for 3 stars.

Does anyone have an issue with the chase cams and other views going on a slight angle every time you drive? Is there a way to fix it, it's very frustrating trying to race when the cam keeps mental. It also decides to pan when in in the upgrade shop lol

Sounds like you've got some "stick drift" on your right Analogue Stick, where it's pushing to the side even in a "neutral" position.

There's no in-game way to adjust the sensitivity or deadzones of the right stick, so you might have to replace your controller if it's a serious issue.

Are you getting achievements in *any* game? I had an issue earlier this year where my account went out of sync with the MS servers and all achievements stopped. The solution was to remove the account from the console and then re-download.

Got my S14 last night. Hopefully, it will start appearing in the auction house soon, as I didn't see any yesterday. For Upgrade Hero cars, I like to own two: one stock and the other with the upgrade preset left on.
