I haven't been on the game for a week or so but logged in for a couple of hours to get the S14. I'm short of cash so am very tempted to sell it to those fool financially generous Forza drifters in the auction house.

Done with the house keeping and thanks to the automated wheelspins, I got all the HE cars now đź‘Ť Im also owning about 80% of the car list now.

Time to get cracking on those remaining 20% - the million credit cars :indiff:

So now that Drift Tapping isn't exploitable anymore what's the next best method for gaining XP?

I assume people are going back to Goliath now?

Presumably, yes.

With XP perks and the bonuses from HE cars now being restricted to single player, I don't think there's a better way to grind than doing Goliath.

I was tempted to keep my One offline for a day and just grind more, but I realized I'd rather approach this game differently than I did with FM6. There, I tried to own every single car, but a lot of them saw no more than a few laps around Lime Rock.

With this game, I'd rather have a more curated garage. Only the cars I really want, tuned the way I want them. Maybe a few versions of the same car if that's needed. Luckily, I don't want many of the more expensive ones, so I think my current 7 million credits ought to be just fine, and running a few Goliath races here and there won't be too bad.

I do still want a 33, 250 GT Lusso, and Daytona Coupe though... :(

I wonder with Horizon 3 if there's a limit to how many cars you can have in your garage because have nearly 300?
I know from experience that the limit was 550 in FM4, and I have heard the limit was raised to 600 in FM6. Hopefully they don't make the mistake of having the garage limit lower then the total +DLC car count like FM4. "Oh boy the Porsche pack is out, need to go buy all the Porsches!" *YOUR GARAGE IS FULL* "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

Is that the car limit, or the limit on tunes? I know you can only have 300 tunes saved.
Car, but the link above corrects what I said.

I played about with the BAC Mono Horizon Edition earlier, worked up a good tune for short asphalt-based tracks. Have been thinking about a livery as well, which I'll get around to some time this weekend.

The strange thing about the limits is that they're obviously coded in. They're not limited by memory or other things (or else we'd see something to the power of 2), so it's a conscious decision by PG/T10.

I'm just going to assume the same ridiculous replay limit of 10 is still in place.

Horizon games don't allow you to save Replays. You can access some Replay footage in Single Player (after a race or when you use Rewind) but that's about it.

Oh, we can't save them? I've seen the option to watch them, I just assumed we could then hold onto them.

Now that I think about it, there's nowhere to view them, so I should've realized sooner...

So has anyone found an answer to the garage limit? All's I can find is its supposed to be "a lot more" then 350?

I did mosey over to the official Forza site for the first time in months to look, I couldn't find anything, but the search function never works well. I was surprised at the number of threads about people getting banned, I guess they are cracking down on PC users running illegal programs. (Plus your typical "free candy" kind of stuff)

I particularly like that they've now opened a thread for people to publicly ask why they were banned, so the answer can now be shown to all. Serves folks right, IMO. I'm not sure why people would think trainer-type programs would ever go over well with a game with such a heavy focus on community features.

I saw that "trainer program" wording a lot, what exactly is that? Is that something that races automatically for you?

My experience of them is almost exclusively through Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Basically, a program runs alongside the game of choice, offering you a number of cheats on the fly. In that game, you could remove ride height restrictions, buy all land, mow the grass instantly, etc etc. I'm going to guess an FH3 trainer largely dealt with credits and XP, though it's entirely possible it altered car parameters too.

Supposedly there's one about that lets you directly copy the engine/transmission/suspension of one car onto another, so if you wanted to stick a Hennessey Venom's guts into the body of a Fiesta, you could. Although I'm pretty sure altering the game's files like that would be immediately detectable, assuming it's real and not just not just a malware spreader like most trainers are these days.

I'm getting very close to shelving this game for good over the crappy A.I. Just for kicks I put the difficulty to "New Driver" and did a race with all stock Sandmans. Somehow one of the other cars got ahold of NOS or something as it flew by me on the straights.

Trainers - in this case I'd guess it's actually Cheating inevitable - directly alters the game by locking or altering variables. This allows manipulation of all sorts of stuff.

Find the variable for credits, set it to 15,000,000 and lock it - bam, infinite money. Just depends on how good people are at digging into the game's process and locating important variables.

On another note, with Skill Chains now giving less XP, I'm wondering about the usefulness of skill boosts on cars. I'm sitting on well over 300 skill points and without getting major XP for the Skill Chains, those boosts seem pretty awful.

Played the 2015 NFS a few days ago again and it feels so dead compared to FH3. Now playing FH3 again and I just can't help to think that this is probably closest to what NFS Underground 3 is supposed to be. Maybe add a bit more customization, but this game pretty much nails it on all fronts.

That's just how Forza AI is unfortunately. Since it can't take corners any way but at the safe speed dictated by the racing line, it compensates with stupid acceleration bonuses. If you can take corners aggressively and hold your speed through them then they're total pushovers, even at high difficulty.

The game was fun while it lasted. I can't find any motivation to get the achievement for completing a championship starting at every race route. I got 37 championships finished, then just lost all motivation to play the game. I already got all other achievements (a rarity for me), got all the cars I want, and yeah.

Another contributing factor is that online is absolute garbage, what with always getting dropped from co-op or adventure sessions, and the multiplayer being pretty blah to begin with.

I'm done with this game for a while, which is unfortunate since it was really fun, just got really repetitive really quickly. Hopefully the expansions will be interesting, and revive my interest in the game.
