I'm in the middle of a six lap race at Goliath, using the Centenario. That cars worth every penny, you hardly ever hear the tired squeal, even when taking turns at 160 mph. Handles great, I'm pretty impressed with it.

Do you earn more money and XP points if you use a Horizon Edition car instead of the Centenario car? Or it does not matter now because of the latest patch?

Seems like all the Horizon Edition cars are worthless now because if the latest patch. They don't produce much money and XP points anymore.

I'm sure you do, if you use a credits boost or exp boost. I only gained 2 levels in that race.

This is my Sunday.

Homologation.JPG

I'm using the pre-set Homologation Championship, but of course I can't call it that due to the game's swear filter. I haven't decided which car I'm going to use yet but I'm leaning towards the Lancia 037.

You could use the Italian spelling of homologation, "omologato." That's what the O in Ferrari GTO stands for.

The game was fun while it lasted. I can't find any motivation to get the achievement for completing a championship starting at every race route. I got 37 championships finished, then just lost all motivation to play the game. I already got all other achievements (a rarity for me), got all the cars I want, and yeah.

Another contributing factor is that online is absolute garbage, what with always getting dropped from co-op or adventure sessions, and the multiplayer being pretty blah to begin with.
I've got almost all of the Achievements as well; for the Championships I'm doing most of them in co-op which helps make the grind more enjoyable.

Once I've got all of the Achievements I'll probably start playing less as well, as the Multiplayer doesn't have long lasting appeal for me. I'll likely continue to join in on the official streams and whatnot but I won't be playing this game day-to-day for months like I did with Forza Motorsport 6.

Anyone else think the Warthog handles too good for a car it's size? I love it! :P
It's one of the best vehicles in the game when it comes to handling bumpy surfaces. The downside is that its top speed is severely limited.

I found this on Reddit - it is definitely some Gran Turismo type of details here:

For those wondering, the W-Motors Lykan Hypersport has diamonds embedded into its headlights.

New livery I whipped up last night:

2014 BAC #9 MOMO Mono

Livery also available on the 2014 BAC Mono Horizon Edition

That may be, but I have seen people mention that the Warthog has one key advantage within that top speed limitation; it can be had in every type of surface available. So while it's not the fastest car in Horizon 3 history, it is one of the fastest overall because it can be fast everywhere. Not to mention the great handling in bumpy surfaces, as others have already mentioned.

Went on a huge scavenger hunt last night and found all travel discount and 1000 XP boards. Now that nagging feeling I get when I was paying for fast traveling is gone.

Got one of the new HE cars on a wheelspin last night, it was the Merc Black Series with Speed Skill Points, one of the old HE cars, The Nissan GTR also showed...

Only two new ones I have so far are the two lamest, BAC Mono and MG Metro.

The Mono's quite quick on road-based circuits. Top speed isn't the best but there's enough grip in my tune to get Top 100s around the shorter tracks.

Regarding tomorrow's #Forzathon, I entered a few Car Meets earlier and it seems like an S1 Caterham is a good bet for winning drag races. The Ultima is obviously faster in a straight line but the starting time handicap is too much to overcome.

Damn. They really did nerf the skill chains and pretty much made the cars with the (drift) skill boost attached to them obsolete too.

It's a brilliant car. Takes off like a rocket too!

To be fair, I think they had the 30 second cool down in Horizon 2.

Have they made Horizon Editions harder to obtain? I very rarely see them appear on spins compared to pre-update.

It's not just the Drift Tap perk, the overall amount of XP you get for your Skill Chain was lowered on top of that, too.

And I agree with @MXH, HE cars feel a little underwhelming unless they have the XP or Credits boost. Skill boosts feel so meh in terms of progression now.

I have no issue with the cool down period (for drift/wall tapping). I'm speaking about the XP 'pay out' in general. Prior to the update, 400.000 skill points would net you 12.500 XP. In comaprison (just tested), over 800.000 skill points will now net you 10K in XP.

Edit : Just did another run at the airfield and If I'm correct, the maximum amount of XP is now 10K at 600.000. While it might not appear to be a major nerf, it'll make quite a difference during races.

Oh well.

:)

Edit 2 : 5 laps at the Goliath Circuit and I end up 300-400K XP shorter than pre-patch.

Today i've completed the game %100 along with all of it's achievements, making it the first Xbox game i ever completed the Achievements list. Now it's time to just mess around freely and also online adventures.

Or you know, play Forza Motorsport 6...
That's my plan after I get max completion (or as close as possible), get stuck into Forza 6!

Count me in as well. Once I've completed and ''got bored of'' Horizon, FM6 is next on my list. That will take a while though.

:D

FM6 still has more replayability for me — I love the ABC hopper, and I made it a mission to get max affinity with as many marques as possible, so picking the less obvious cars and making them competitive was a blast — but I'll admit I'm really enjoying the Playground games in FH3. I'm only sitting at around 30% completion; I find rushing towards 100% ruins a lot of the fun for me.

Really hoping this upsize-stock-rims glitch doesn't get patched. It works so well on the older cars:

I don't know how you could rush this game! I'm at just over 72 hours play-time and at 75.7% complete!

This game is chockers and we're still to get expansions.

My brother and I have been playing through the game slowly. We're level 38 or something. What's the current fastest way to get XP, level up and most importantly, get wheel spins?

The Goliath circuit, though I don't think you have unlocked it yet (need Level 5 Byron Bay). It's pretty long though and you need to stack some bonuses for the best rewards.
