Had the feeling something was off with my Volvo S60 when driving faster than 20km/h.

Appeared to be the rims.

This has been a bug that has carried over for many games  IIRC, they're just turning black.

I know, but its getting out thanks to the popular youtubers along with the glitch that allows you to change the bumpers on wide-body cars.
You'd assume that it would be a standard feature in the game but I'm guessing licensing might have had something to do with it. It's a no-brainer, really.

I'm crossing my fingers that they leave it in though.

Is it just me or did the AI became even more stupid, tried to get a speed trap and three AI cars where blocking the complete road driving the same speed as the normal traffic. :grumpy:

The other day I had one park right in the middle of a Danger Sign ramp.

I found a glitch by mistake, when you put on a race exhaust and go back into the game the backfire bang wont take effect until you change cars and then go back into the car you originally had when you equipped the exhaust. Now all my cars backfire like crazy and i love it.

After getting an invite to Turn 10's FH3 All Cars Project, I knew I had to secure one of the PlayStation Generation cars. But while I wanted the R34 since it is more widely associated with such a title. In the end the R33 had to be picked.

Yet had my inbox been cleared in advance, then I could of made my fellow PlayStation fans proud. Plus oversleeping didn't help matters since the R34 was taken during Wednesday morning.

Was driving my Fiesta ST and looked in the interior when I noticed that the odometer works for it. Do any other cars have it too?

Go to the rims and select any rim and then upgrade the size of he rims. Then press the button to see what's in the basket and select the wheel you choose and go back and select the stock wheel, then go back to the basket and select the rim size and change it. Do the same again to change the front one too.

Sorry for a bad explanation haha

VXR
Will give it a go when I finish work. Cheers.

There are a few tutorials on youtube, just search "forza horizon 3 default rim size". Not sure if it is allowed to post a video since it is a "glitch"?

That should do the trick ;)

I really hope if they remove the widebody glitch, they'll add the option to remove the rear bumper from the S30 Fairlady after installation of the Rocket Bunny kit to compensate. Having that chrome bumper on my Zetto bothered me to no end, and I was immensely relieved when I found a way to finally make it look like it's supposed to.

Car balance in this game completely 🤬, if you asked me 👎

What do you mean by that exactly? Is the weight balance borked? I don't think so. Is the PI system insane? On that I'd have to agree, it's neigh-impossible to give a car some power without it jumping to S1 class.

You can give your car plenty of power. Plenty. And AWD.

Upgrading the tyres is going to skyrocket your PI.
Eh, I'd rather take the PI jump, the AWD just seems to hinder it too much IMO. I get much more out of the tires than I would from the swap. I also find it much easier to tune for RWD lol.

Another week another official livery contest winner :)

Well, I personally prefer driving RWD cars; they're far more fun to me. I also like my cars light and grippy. But if we're talking about minmaxing and playing the PI system like fiddle, power and AWD is where it's at.

Here's an example. My RWD M4 HE - one of my most cherished cars. Runs race tyres and not much in the way of power. it's pretty well balanced car and I've probably got more seat time in that thing (with this same build) than in any other car. This is what it looks like:

So I went and build an AWD power-focused build:

Stock tyres, only used the widest ones.

I ran both cars on two tracks: Goliath and Archway Meadows. As for laptimes, the AWD build destroyed the RWD build around Goliath: 10:55.583 vs. 11:26.278. No surprises here, it's a power track like none other. Fully expected this result. On Archway Meadows, the RWD M4 ran a 0:47.427 and the AWD one managed 0:47.017. Archway Meadows is tight and technical - and yet, the power build wins. Not by a huge margin, but, then again, I never really bothered tuning it right nor do I have any experience driving it. Hell, my driving style doesn't feel like it's suiting an AWD car at all.

Bottom line is, the PI system is biased against grip and towards power - and it brings with it the same "AWD everything" phenomenon I loathed about FM3 :indiff:

Try to build competitive FWD car, for example. Some cars just cant be competitive at some classes, other overpowered to the moon. Just look at rivals leaderboards. Sure, main reason of this is 🤬 PI/classes system that doesnt work.

I've had the opposite effect. My RWD cars tend to be faster all around. Although, looking at your stats, my A-class cars happen to have the very similar readings, aside from handling. I set up A class and they usually range around 8.4-8.8 with acceleration, and around mid 7's for speed, and 6.9-7.2 on handling. So you're right to say that you can focus on speed. I think where my problem lies is my specific tuning set-ups, I'm just never comfortable with setting up AWD, where as I've nailed down how I want RWD vehicles.

Although it may just be some sort of placebo effect, I dont feel comfortable in the AWD vehicles either, so maybe its just making me think its slower

Leaderboard cars aren't really indicative of unbalanced PI, because as soon as you take out one another will take its place, until you remove all cars. Some are just better at things than others. I set up an Integra in A class set as FWD and it's actually not too shabby.

Sure you'll see car's like the Elise on short technical tracks running the leaderboards, but you wont see the same car running the long straights.

I agree with your point to a certain extent, though.

It's not so much AWD vs. 2WD, I feel. Swapping the drive train doesn't make that big a difference if both builds are running the same tyre compound. However, AWD allows you to get away with a crappy tyre compound and since tyre compound has such a huge impact on PI, you can get away with cramming a lot of power / weight reduction into the build. That is what I perceive as the core issue.

Sticking to the stock tyre compound gave me the option to do this. Typically, you'd end up with a car that spins like a dreidel. With AWD, it's manageable. Sure, it ain't no corner carver. Never will be. But even with racing tyres, a car with that much torque is going to be a handful and a half - but it would probably sit in high S1 or low S2
